If you opening a door - it means that youre not smart or too young, if you keeping the door locked and talking to them though a door - they know that youre ready to shoot them, so a fear kicks them out of your place like insects. I'm praying for demonic people to wake up, because robbing someones home is one of the most suicidal thing to do.
I know right? I'm thinking of getting a Rottweiler or doberman pencer though this is why they need bigger dogs in the city they might not even go on your porch with a fully trained large service dog. I know a lot of times you should probably be a home owner but apartment complexes have a need for them too. I've seen them chase off large bears too.

the dudes pretending to be CPD is so oddly hilarious to me. Did they really expect anyone to fall for that? Even after they'd spotted the camera? When they clearly did not look or sound like cops? Too funny that they expected that to work.
Honestly I live with my grandparents and they always leave the front door unlocked because "It's a safe neighborhood" They lock the door at night but during the day, It's unlocked unless I lock it. Just because It's the middle of the day. Doesn't mean someone can't just walk in because the door was unlocked.
@@mymelody589 that’s dangerous, and i figure grandparents are pretty fragile, so if someone walked in during the day, it could’ve ended badly since they can’t defend themselves. even if it’s a nice neighborhood, no one needs for them to unlock their doors, it’s a bit dumb and risky to do that
When i was 9, my dad left me home alone for 10 minutes to go across the road so he could get payment for a job he did there. When i was home alone, i heard someone banging on the back door, screaming to be let in. Dude sounded mental, he was begging, pleading, screaming. Half the time it was incomprehensible. He walked around to the side window and was hitting it, i could hear him making horrible noises. It didn't stop, i was legit terrified i was about to die. When my dad got home, i told him and he went to check. Turns out it was just my brother coming home from a friends house really really drunk and needed to pee lmao. The horrible noises? Was just him vomiting on himself. Safe to say he didn't talk to me for a while.
my brother and I used to walk down the road behind our house late at night, and one day one of the people started yelling at us and stuff for just walking past his house (we were never on his property) So not all the time people outside of your house are up to no good, but it is a good thing to think they are so that you are prepared for anything they try if they are up to no good.

There was a serial killer who just walked around town, looking for a unlocked door. That was it, that was his only requirement. He did kill a woman who was sitting in her backyard, relaxing. When the two guys was claiming to be CPD, I would have said hold on a second, Let me put my clothes on and I’ll be right down. Then had them wait until the real police got there.
They are not that stupid, usually getting dressed it takes like 2 minutes or 3 if in that time you haven't opened the door, they'll be like "We better go away".
Those are some solid neighbors who jumped to help put out that fire. And those guys who pretended to be CPD were pretty damn bold, like wtf is wrong with people? Crazy world.

I like how he thought he was being smart to notice the camera at 5:00 and pull his friend away, yet he was standing clear as day in it’s field of view xD
I am wondering why the narrator did not seem to realize that the guy at 5:02, and the very first guy in the white hoodie are most likely the same guy. Look at the mannerisms, height, weight and the way he talks, it's all exactly the same. The only thing different is the second hoodie had pictures on the front while the first one did not. He also had on a different pair of pants at the second house. What makes me almost absolutely sure it's him is the fact that both houses were in Toledo Ohio. He tried the "it's me" scam at the woman's house, that did not work. So, the next time he tried the "CPD" scam. The guy he pulled away from the camera was the same guy hiding behind the dumpster. I've caught attempted robbers on my camera that I wasn't even aware of at the time. It's scary when you realize you were just sleeping and someone was lurking around trying to get in your house.
To think that there actually was a time when people felt safe to leave their doors unlocked at night and now we have to have security cameras at our own homes like it’s a place of business. The world is so scary. I’m really considering getting one for my home, just a few weeks ago someone was knocking at my door at 4:30 am. I wouldn’t have even heard them if it wasn’t for my dog raising hell and waking me up. I sleep pretty hard and my husband works nights so it’s just me and the kids at night.
Not to be paranoid and I am in no way aware of your situation but if your husband could switch to a day shift that would be a lot safer. Also buying a legal firearm to protect yourself if that cannot happen. You have a family and you need to protect them 🙏
Things like this are why I am an extremely ardent supporter of homeowners and other lawful residents being allowed to use lethal force against malicious intruders with full and absolute immunity from criminal or civil consequences. No duty to retreat either. Your home is your sanctuary and it's reasonable that you should fight to protect it.
Yeah! For decades in Florida, the victim had "duty to retreat" or as I called it, doody to retreat. You had to prove you hid, begged for your life, whatever. Now we have one of the best stand your ground laws ( sometimes abused of course by skittle kid hunters ) but so far it still doesn't absolve every one who is forced to shoot someone they still get in really bad trouble sometimes. The cops and DA's are not as citizen friendly as the law intends. I would be tempted to keep and use a silencer and not call it in.
The man who put out the flame in the neighbor's bushes is a real hero. No doubt there would've have been more than one house burnt down if he hadn't gotten there that fast.
You can't make that assumption based on one action. If the fire had spread, his own house could've burned down. He could be a "hero", or he could be a selfish jerk saving his own house. You can't assume either one based on one action.
The homeowner in the “CPD” story should’ve told them he was getting dressed to come down as he sleeps naked that way those two idiots would’ve stuck around longer thinking they were gonna get in, but in all reality it was a trap to give the police more time to get there. Whenever you’re in a situation where you physically can’t be harmed right away due to there being a barrier between you & the suspect try to keep them talking or give them a reason to wait that way they stick around longer, it gives the cops a better chance at catching them because even if they leave right before the cops get there they’ll still be right in the area instead of them running off right away, the police not catching them because they disappeared & then they go make someone else their victim, time is a big factor in catching suspects, therefore if you can make a suspect wait around without putting yourself in direct danger than it’s best to do everything in your power to keep them waiting as long as possible.
yeah, but then they were armed, A shootout could have erupted in that neighborhood, Endangering the lives of the police officers & the neighbors. As soon as I'd see a gun, I'd arm myself. As police often occur AFTER a crime has happened.
One night while I was laying in bed with the light on I heard somebody sprinting down the sidewalk of my apartments at like 1:30 am. They were running full speed then I heard them turn into my building. Then they started beating on the door super fast like it was really urgent. I kind of just froze and let my dog bark but then they came around to my window and started knocking on it. The knocking eventually got slower and quieter until they were tapping on the window with their finger, right above me. If the blinds weren't closed they would have been looking down at me but I'm not so sure he couldn't see my outline because of the light. Idk what the hell was going on but I think they noticed my light on so chose to knock on it but I still don't know what for. They never said my name or said they need help or nothing and I didn't have my gun at this point so I just laid there. I've wondered if they really needed help or if it was a set up or what but the creepy tapping on the window with their finger made me suspicious asf. Still wonder about it to this day, this was in 2017
Ya idk how you bounce back from that. We just had a package thief and are still paranoid af let alone something like that. I think you made right call. Neighbor or friend bashing down door at 2am, sure come on it and lock the door. Stranger at 2am? Sry, I’ll call 911 for you but that’s about it.
I'm surprised no ones invented an Ring type door bell which can spray an indelible ink (like what's contained in bank notes in security vans) so if you feel threatened by anyone at the door at night you could remote control press a button and the camera would spray out the ink in a wide arc and cover the front of the intruder, if its the same ink used in those bank note traps then it takes weeks to be washed off but is otherwise harmless. Certainly make it easy to identify people if they were walking around with bright pink/red/blue dye on their face etc.
Awh. The fire video when he said “please put that out for me please” he sounded so nervous :((( I’m glad the neighbor caught it in time. Edit: I also just watched the second fire story in the video and wtf who does that😳
Yeah I was nervous. I was at work and couldn't get ahold of the neighbor to put it out. He thought I was joking when I said "our house is on fire" (That's my video. and it wasn't just one house, it was an apartment building burning down)

One of my best friends woke up at around 3:00am to the sound of someone pounding on his back door. His bedroom was right next to his back door. At first he was agitated thinking "someone's got a lot of nerve waking me up at this hour!" Then the pounding got faster and he's wondering if it's a cop. But the pounding kept getting faster until it was rapid and he was quite terrified. What's even worse is that he was in a sleep paralysis state and couldn't move. This went on for a couple of minutes until he finally fully woke up and realized that it was just the sound of his air conditioner turning on.
I once had someone bang on the door repeatedly after dark. It was summer, so the window next to the door was partially open (with the screen). My cat was in the window starring at the person, but I had no peephole to safely look. To top it off, my husband was in the garage without his phone, and I was terrified. They stayed about 3 or so minutes angrily banging while my cat spun his head around at them trying to get some attention. I eventually slid a knife in front of the screen so they could see I was armed. After they left, I went to look and saw a campaign flyer on my door step. At first I thought that must just be a canvasser, but it was pitch black out, so it jist didn't make sense. I also didn't see anyone go to the neighbor's doors.
Here in my country we have grills in our windows so that noone can just enter easily. You can install that i guess. We also have iron net installed in that gril window so that mosquitoes can't enter. You can enjoy summer without any problem but to be safe don't let it open if not at home or not in the room.
Great video! A lot of channels have been posting these doorbell camera compilations lately and they're all mostly the same old encounters rehashed. Every single one of these was new to me. Love it! 😁👍
New sub. Really great footage. I’m just so shocked at some of these brazen individuals. Really scary times we live in, when cameras don’t deter thieves or worse murderers!
Very scary! My apartment got broken into, while I was at my parents' house, the day after Christmas. Thankfully the individual who broke in was mostly looking for food and only took my fiance's gun and my brother's video camera. The clowns at the apartment said originally they were going to replace the entire door, (the intruder had broken through a dead bolt???) but then decided to just throw some spackle around the area of the door that was broken and put the same deadbolt back in the door. This decision made it ten times easier to break into. I'm visually impaired and cannot see well enough to drive, so I got my mom to drive me the two hours down to my apartment, where I could get all of the valueables out of there and take back to my parents' house. In January, I began a 5 month series of weekly gel inflations to a balloon beneath my scalp, for reconstructive surgery. The head of the apartment complex called and said that because I'd been "out" of my apartment, she'd offered it to someone else. I pointed out that I'd paying my rent on time every month and was currently undergoing weekly treatments at the hospital, where I'd been treated for cancer. She didn't believe me and said I had to come in, sign documents, or my remaining property would be hauled to the dump. I got my mom and brother to take me down there the following day. I wore a farmer's hat and as soon as I walked into her office, I took off the hat, and asked what I needed to sign. The balloon beneath my scalp made it look like I had a small football beneath my skin. The stubborn woman was horrified. I loved it! I asked her again what I needed to sign, she handed the papers to me, and instead of sitting down to sign the papers, I stood over the desk and looked down, so she could see the top of my head, which had been shaved and cut open to insert the balloon. When I finished signing everything, I looked up at her face, which was pale and contorted like she was about to vomit. I smiled, put my hat back on, and told her to have a nice day. I looked at her assistant (whom I liked and got along with) and she was glaring at the stubborn lady like she'd gotten what she deserved, for thinking I was lying! In the end, it was fine by me to move out, though, because I no longer felt safe there. Getting that last bit of justice against the apartment manager was icing on the cake, because she'd been trying to get rid of us for years!
@@brianna431 thank you! I was told, when I moved into the second apartment there, it was one of their "show apartments" and to keep it neat, because they would be advertising it to interested buyers. They'd walk in on me in the morning, when I was in my pajamas. I can't tell you how many laws they broke! After living in the second apartment in that complex, (the one that was broken into) I told my fiance I never wanted to live in an apartment again! The first apartment I lived in there was at the bottom of a hill. The sewage drain was also at the bottom of that hill. Everytime it rained, my apartment would flood, and the carpet between the bedroom and bathroom would get wet. I filed complaint after complaint, but the complaints weren't "pressing issues," so by the time maintenance came to look at the flooding, it was all or mostly dried up and they said 'they didn't see anything.' A hurricane came through and 3 days after it had passed (I'd been at my parents' house further north) I came back to my apartment and there was standing water in the kitchen. My dad called management and the difficult woman said they'd come look at it when they got the chance and hung up on him. He got in the car, drove down to her office, went inside, and said if someone wasn't in my apartment in 10 minutes, he was going to call a lawyer. They sent the dufus maintenance guy down there, who walked in and swore up and down I must have "spilled something." Dad asked him if he knew there'd been a hurricane there that previous weekend? Maintenance dude said that of course he knew that, he lived just down the street. Dad pointed out that this part of the city was in a flood zone. The man agreed. Dad followed with, "So don't cha reckon that's what caused the flooding?!?" I had to go stay with my fiance and his family, for a few days, while they brought in a special crew to vacuum the water out. The kicker, however, came two months later, when I moved to an apartment at the top of the hill. The same difficult woman tried to charge me a $1200 fee for carpet cleaning and replacement, plus an extra $200 fee, for changing apartments, on top of my $615 rent fee. What's worse is the woman didn't have the nerve to call and tell me this, or inform me when I paid my rent. She stuck the bills in my mailbox. When I found the bills I did call my lawyer, and they spoke with the tart. The woman said she "forgot" that you don't have to pay the $200 moving fee, if you switch apartments in their complex, (which is in the contract) they would take off half my monthly rent, for the stress they'd caused me, and there was no need for me to worry with the carpet fee, because they were remodeling that apartment anyway. Yeah. That woman was a peach.

He said we've been doing it every since we moved in at all hours of the night and day to purposely mess with him and he can't sleep because of it. The police showed up because apparently he called them before standing outside my door and they seemed to believe him that we were doing it. He said we were racist and doing it because he's black and we're white. The police would end up leaving after giving me a warning to not beat on the wall. I had to live next door to him 6 more months knowing he's crazy and thinks we're targeting him. I always wondered when he would show up at the door again. I started keeping my 12 gauge quite close the rest of my days in that apartment.

The cops and DA's are not as citizen friendly as the law intends. I would be tempted to keep and use a silencer and not call it in.

@@WhatDoesMyChannelNameMeanBad bait

This is why I want to have a gun, police response time here is roughly an hour and you have people like this who will do evil no matter what, you can ban guns you can ban knives they're still going to try to find a way to harm you because they're evil and with police an hour away I rather the 50/50 chance
Well, if response time is an hour, then no wonder people would want to have a gun. Response time should be at most 10 minutes....
@@holretz1 exactly, when you live in rural places you can't rely on others for your safety. I don't blame the cops and other first responders there's not enough of them to cover the area, they do the best they can. But when that's your reality you have to be able to protect and take care of yourself. Alot of people I've met live in the inner city and have 5 minute response times and they never understand my view when I try to explain it.
Also have instances like one day I went to work in the morning, went to the car club afterwards and picked up McDonald's. Got home at 9:30pm as I'm coming from the detached garage to my house I hear something large leave the tree line and start approaching my direction. I couldn't see it panicked and got inside as quick as I could. Trail cam check the next day showed it was a large bobcat. If that attacked me and I waited an hour for help it would not have ended well
@@holretz1 A lot can happen in 10 minutes, too. And if they were to get into your home and you don't have your gun on you or loaded right next to you (for example, if it's locked in a safe and/or the ammo is separated from it), those are precious seconds or minutes lost where you could be harmed or killed... never having a chance to even call police, let alone wait for them to get there.
A gun in your hand is always preferable to cops on the way. Every single time. Buy a gun and learn how to use it.
I won't even open the door for a kid. If I don't know you I aint opening it and if you cross the threshold then you're taking a dirt nap

Pronto, foda-se.
Not a ring camera, but my family does have cameras around our house. The scariest thing we caught on there was a older guy pounding on the front door early in the morning just as I woke up and the only one home. When we looked back over the footage it looked like he was looking for something or someone since. When he got off our porch and into his car it looked like he had a gun, so it's a good thing I had the sense to not open the door.
My family wants to get a door bell cam for safety, I really think we will be getting one soon. Thanks for the vid Chilling.
It's a great idea I highly recommend getting a ring cam.

Brazilian here. It's batshit insane to me how in many of those videos the front or backyard is so open and vulnerable. Here we have houses closed up front, usually with doors, gates, electric fences and sometimes sleep scared of what might happen. Lock everything up, stay safe and never open unless you really know what's on the other side.
it's the same in Malaysia, I always find it weird seeing houses like these
I'm amazed at how people just leave their entire access to their house and keys in their damn car UNLOCKED

in Venezuela, most of the houses have doors that don’t open from the outside without a key, and the windows have grilles. i think it’s because it’s insecure here, and also, it’d kinda be an impenetrable house (even for a zombie apocalypse haha)
When I visited Buenos Aires about 10 yrs ago, people in nicer neighborhoods had doors that locked from the inside, as well. If anyone broke in, they couldn't escape without a key. Craziness....
I live in germany right now but i often visited my grandmother in Belarus.
The Appartements there have usually 3 doors and one of the doors is a big ass heavy door which really thick.
Plus to enter the appartement building you need not only a key but also to know a number Code.
"We need ta axe you a couple a questions." Now that sounded convincing. LOL.
I thought the same thing haha!
Lmaooo
never open your door for anyone at night, and even in day time always be careful who you open your door to!
I'm 38 and have always locked my doors. We grew up in a nice neighborhood but we still didn't trust our neighbors lol
This goes back to my idea of having a box that can spray out mace.
Good reasons why everyone should always lock their doors and windows at night and close the blinds
What a beautiful CAT!!!! So COOL!!! Probably hungry or thirsty POOR GUY!!!
Lol those jokers in the first video
“It’s me!” Like the homeowner is gonna go “oh, it’s some random dude! Alright, come on in, Bro!”
i think the arsonist being a stranger makes it even more terrifying.
Home Owner: “Who is it?”
Robber: “It’s me.”
Home Owner: “Hi Me, I’m dad.”

I filed complaint after complaint, but the complaints weren't "pressing issues," so by the time maintenance came to look at the flooding, it was all or mostly dried up and they said 'they didn't see anything.'
A hurricane came through and 3 days after it had passed (I'd been at my parents' house further north) I came back to my apartment and there was standing water in the kitchen.
My dad called management and the difficult woman said they'd come look at it when they got the chance and hung up on him.
He got in the car, drove down to her office, went inside, and said if someone wasn't in my apartment in 10 minutes, he was going to call a lawyer.
They sent the dufus maintenance guy down there, who walked in and swore up and down I must have "spilled something."
Dad asked him if he knew there'd been a hurricane there that previous weekend?
Maintenance dude said that of course he knew that, he lived just down the street.
Dad pointed out that this part of the city was in a flood zone.
The man agreed.
Dad followed with, "So don't cha reckon that's what caused the flooding?!?"
I had to go stay with my fiance and his family, for a few days, while they brought in a special crew to vacuum the water out.

I will never understand people leaving doors open during the night. I lock all doors the minute I'm done with them for these reasons.
I lived next door to an older guy in an apartment complex in Phoenix awhile back. He would leave his apartment about once a week at 5am for groceries and wouldn't come outside the rest of the week. He would watch us through his blinds anytime we were in front of our apartment. Never introduced himself or said anything to us for about 6 months. I opened my front door one day and he was standing right in front of it staring at me like he was super pissed. He starting getting loud with me, telling us to quit banging on the wall between our apartments, something we never did.
