That kid did an excellent job of protecting himself. As soon as he realizes he can't get into his own home he arms himself and finds another safe place. Very smart, quick-thinking kid. I hate that he had this experience but am very glad he kept his head.
He should have been able to get into the house very quickly. Why hasn’t his parents given him a key! That made me mad, you’re young son is walking home alone and he can’t get into the house..
Story #3 pisses me off so much. You expect your child to walk home but don't give him a key and you're not on the front porch, waiting for him but instead lock the front door? Props to the child for thinking fast and being smart because they didn't do their son any favors.

Imagine if all these people weren’t so lucky. Police would probably zero in on someone innocent rather than the possibility that it could be a random creep like in one of these videos

Doorbell security systems are one of the best inventions ever. The video of the little boy running from the vehicle following him really bothered me as a mom. God bless that poor kid ♥️
The parents didn’t give the kid a key or a garage opener, that’s what irritates me. Congrats to that kid for immediately taking the rocks and quickly moving to his neighbor’s house. Always give your children an access to your home whenever they are out of the house.
That's what I thought too. My kids always had a key. Or the code to the garage. Especially if I knew they were coming home late at night, I'd call them as well.
I also don’t get why they let their elementary school aged kid walk home alone after dark. I’d understand if it was mid day, but having kids walk by themselves after dark is not smart. At least ask a friend/relative to pick them up or get them a bus pass if you’re unable to pick them up.

well the fact that the neighbor’s door was unlocked is telling about the area as well. the whole thing is weird as someone who lives in a major metropolitan
It was so scary when the mother and her son went inside the house and they were almost attacked by that man, and for seconds they left the door open. Thank god they closed the door on time 😳
That guy looked a bit irritated it at least surprised, I think, when he found the door was locked. What, we’re they just supposed to leave it unlocked on the off chance some stranger would want to break in?
FYI: If your or kids bedrooms are on the ground floor, and y’all have mini blinds, make sure the blinds are pointed upwards. It’s harder for creeps to peep in thru and see anything. When they are pointed downwards, creeps see everything going on in the room.
My future wife had her 2nd floor bedroom window blinds pointed downwards for YEARS. When I started dating her, I pointed out that at night anybody looking up at her window got a 100% clear view of everything in the room. She was mortified, to say the least.
@@Dmil2424 he’s talking about the kind of blinds that are strips of wood or fabric put horizontally one over the other. To open them, the strips go from laying almost flat against the window and when open they lay flat horizontally. You can set them to have the space between every strip to face downwards (which is the common way), or upwards, that way it is more difficult to look through the little spaces.
@@Dmil2424 if you have mini blinds on your windows (the plastic ones or wood ones) make sure they are not at a downward angle. Weirdos can see everything through them. But if they are pointed upwards all the way, they can’t see anything. When I say downward, I mean so if you wipe your hand down the slats, it’s a smooth wipe. But if they’re pointing upwards, if you tried wiping your hand down the slats, it’s not smooth wiping.

What the Hell was the 10yr old boy walking home alone in the dark? He's obviously smart and cautious but could've been easily overpowered. So glad he and everyone else is ok. So scary.
God, that poor little kid. The sound of him crying out for his mom makes my heart hurt so much. I hope those would-be kidnappers get what's coming to them.
They've all been defunded. Almost all of the biggest cities are down at least a third of their force. Even for the ones working, why the hell would they do anything? I would just let things happen and collect the paycheck.
Police need this little thing we call evidence. If the only evidence is a mask or a face with no record behind it then what the fuck do you expect them to do? The response above mine is also correct. Police have been neutered. I get the feeling you can find the reason for that problem by looking in a mirror. You shouldn't be relying on police for protection anyway. They can't be everywhere and can only respond so fast. Get a gun and learn how to use it. Back up the gun by learning Krav. Krav is the best martial art for self-defense.
My mom was desperate for doing this. She refuse to give me keys or leave them anywhere incase the house broken into. @@staceyb947 my mother had this paranoia we would loose the key and then someone would copy it lol. Now we know she definitely has OCD but at the time it was like “whatever mom”
The creepiest thing is in the one video, the man who follows the mother and boy has his hands behind his back the whole time, probably concealing a weapon. That was so creepy and scary.
Doorbell cameras are so important, especially with peeping Tom cases. Too often than not, those creepers graduate to committing much, much worse offences- including murder. Also, props to Graydon for his quick thinking, and to Daniel for immediately locking the door after getting home. Such a good habit to get into. I hope Graydon is receiving any help he may need from that traumatic incident.
That graduating statement is very simple-minded, and beyond cliche shit. That’s not always true. Everyone’s different, everyone’s brains are different.
"Immediately locking the door" As a physical security enthusiast, that's a thing that is bothering me for decades. Why on earth do you heave working door-handles on the OUTSIDE of the front door in the US? In Germany it's common practice to just have a solid knob outside with which you can't open the door. The door can only be opened by turning the key to the end, which will pull the latch bolt back. That means that even if the door is unlocked, you can't open the door from the outside, except with means of forcing the latch bolt back by sticking something thin through the door and the frame and even that can be countered by having a latch bolt with a dead bolt. But a full on door-handle outside is just ridiculous.
That kid probably was so scared… I can’t imagine waking up to see your neighbours kid hiding and quaking in fear. Genuinely concerning to think of that
That little boy was so quick thinking. I don’t think I took a full breath that whole part of the video. Poor baby 🥺 that was so scary but he was so brave!

It would have been much harder. Today, practically everyone and their mom has a tv and/or a smartphone they are occupied with.
I had a similar experience to the little boy who was followed and ran to the neighbors house. Long story short, when I was about 13 (28 now) I was followed by an older Latino man while walking my dog. I noticed his behavior was odd and being the paranoid kid I was, I thought something was up immediately. Instead of taking my normal route home I cut though this grassy area and was able to make it to my porch right as he pulled up. My uncle came to visit that day and apparently saw me while I was making my way to the door. As soon as I opened it he walked passed me out onto the porch and was cursing the man out. The guy lingered around but eventually left. I stopped going outside after this pretty much. It’s a terrifying experience that stays with you forever.
Yes I was 8 when this car was following me and asking me to come over but I ran away real fast, he looked like he was about 28 and I thought to myself what does a grown man want with me it does stay with you forever. Now I know.
I had a similar experience around 12 years old walking home from soccer practice, weird creep pulled up wanting to give me a ride aggressively, I was already mapping my route to run. Loved in woody area but I knew the woods well enough, luckily another car happened to come up and he drove off. Never walked to/from school or soccer again. Actually quit since both parents worked and I had no ride, but I’m safe and happy and alive!
I feel bad for the kid who was walking home by himself! Hearing him call for his mom and throw pebbles from his front porch to the guys driving the car shows how much danger he was in! It's scary to think that could happen at any time! Also, props to his neighbor for whatever reason leaving the door unlocked letting him inside to get away from those guys! @@reh3884 Realistically speaking? If the police really were determined they could start with tracing the movement of the suspects using public CCTV where available, and convene with neighbours if they have doorbell or home CCTV installed in the case of any missing steps. They could trace the person all the way back to the car, taxi, or public transportation they used to get there. Public transportation is very easy because it's all recorded 24/7. A taxi too can make it easy especially if they didn't pay cash. A car you'd at least get the colour, make and model and with the description of the person you can pull an APB to units in that area to keep a search out for that car which would have very high chance of eventually tracking down that suspect. The obstacle? The authorities don't have enough funding to give a shit to make any level of detective work for heavily suspicious but non-yet-criminal incidents. Which means the only way any of these people would get caught when they actually manage to assault or kill somebody. That is the state of modern day policing. And I'm from the UK and actually had the privilege of seeing the difference of state police funding eventually go down the shitter. 15 years ago it wouldn't be hard to imagine that the local police would make an effort to track down suspects of questionable activity even if they hadn't commited a crime, solely to ensure that these people won't commit a crime later. Now our goverment has been dogshit for a while now and it's completely changed the state of the policing around here, where most of the time they will take a report and then email you later to say they've closed the case due to insufficient evidence or whatever. A legally questionable life-hack to force the police into action is through embellishment. Say for example the second clip, she could if she wanted to exagerrate (or straight up lie) the ordeal and say that she had saw the man again and he brandished a knife... perhaps at a distance, and that there was no CCTV but its her word. Now the threat 'intent to assault with a deadly weapon' will be registered to that police report which they will re-open and strongly consider tracking the man again. Stay safe
I’m very glad that one kid knew what to do and that he ran to the neighbors house. Bless him. EDIT! A lot of you guys in the comments are talking about how Grayden was left walking home alone. I completely agree. It’s even worse for a kid that age to be walking home alone. And the fact that he wasn’t given a KEY to unlock the door OR the fact that NONE of the parents were waiting for him.
2nd one hit a lil hard. i've had a random guy just try to silently walk toward me like that when i was walking to my car, he ended up trying the car's handle when i got in. thankfully i only had my drivers door unlocked, but i noticed had had gloves on and a large side bag before he decided to walk away. i know its more unnerving and alarming to have someone do that on your property, but what really scared me was how i thought he was just another dude in the lot. I've become a lot more paranoid of men since, and its not even my first experience like this.
Do not drop your guard around anyone either man, woman, old, young, skin color Thats a mistake i saw a bunch of people doing, people forget evil has no face

Right?!! I remember having to report a strange man prowling around my mom's condo complex. Its a 55 + older complex & very very quiet. I was driving out & as I reached the driveway of the complex I see a man with his back to me, wearing a long coat & slacks. I realize his slacks are down too far, almost like they will fall off. I admit I thought it was one of the neighbors, as the man was shuffling & a couple of the residents there are a little dippy lol. So I drove carefully around him & realized he was not only NOT old...but his parts were exposed! He rushes to cover them with his hands when he sees my car. I stopped to call the police & was told (alarmingly) "As soon as we find someone, we'll send them over." FIND someone?!! Wow, busy night or not many cops anymore?? Of course by the time the cops arrived he was gone.
Two lessons to take away from this: 1. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, call the police as early as possible. Most importantly, ask the operator if the police can arrive discreetly, no sirens. This would increase the likelihood that they’ll catch the perpetrator. 2. Don’t be like the guy in the last video. The worst mistake you can make is trying to be a hero. Not only did he leave himself exposed to a potential ambush, he left his house door, unlocked. The safest place you can be is inside, doors locked. I really felt for that poor kid. That was scary af.
My takeaway from this was never call the damn police because they'll arrive too late and do jack shit. If you want something done right, get a gun and do it yourself.
That kid was great. Really heartaching to react with such panic, but he handled himself amazingly. He kept notice, kept his distance, yelled to draw attention and thought on his feet quick enough to run to his neighbours house whereas i'd imaging most adults even would panic and keep trying to knock on the door desperately, the kid understood there was no time to make that gamble. Hearing him scream 'Mom!' will stick with me though 💔
Kids like Braden who have lousy parents are very adept and resourceful when it comes to taking care of themselves in a tight situation. I ought to know, I had parents like that. It's literally the way we're raised. Good job, Braden! You'll always do okay in life. Self reliant and independent.
@@thexxit they kept the door locked and didn’t give him a key. They made him walk home alone at night. They didn’t respond to his cries for help. I wish more parents watched videos like this. Never let your kid walk home alone in the dark. Never let your kid do anything alone while they’re still small enough to be easily pulled or pushed.

You wouldn’t need them if you had proper security in the first place. I’m Polish. My door is literally 6 inches thick. You never know what they might be carrying so it's best to stay inside & call the cops. If they start to break in, you can always yell out that you have a gun, whether you do or not. Even home invaders don't usually want to play those odds.
I didnt see brave, just stupid. The purpose of the door is to keep bad things out. The purpose of a door bell camera is to let one know of bad things. The purpose of police is to get the bad things. The purpose of a golf club is to hit golf balls.
8:20 Doorbell security cameras are so helpful in cases like these. They got clear shots of his face and even what looks like a scar on his cheek. It'll be easier to identify him in the future if he ever does something like this again or if someone recognizes him in public.
These videos are quite literally why my husband and I stay strapped. We live deep in the woods/country where it would take police a long time to reach us, and I’m often home alone, so we prioritize our own safety. We sleep with hidden weapons, we have more hidden in other rooms, we have pre-discussed plans for different situations, we are both trained, certified, and excellent shots. If someone were even to dare try breaking into our home, they’d be met with not one, but two barrels blasting them backwards before they even got past the threshold. My parents, grandparents, cousins, and more also live within 1-10 minutes of our house, some even live within earshot- They all stay strapped as well, so if someone wanted to come invoke hell, they’d better be prepared for an entire family of it.
These videos are the exact reason I keep a weapon in my car. My country doesn't allow guns but there's plenty of home tools that will at least give you the element of surprise. A family member of mine has a lot of steel tools and rods laying around so I picked one up just in case someone is trying to attack me at my car and I can't get in and leave immediately. Doesn't help the fact local robberies with knives are alarmingly frequent.
That kid that grabbed rocks and tried defending himself, was super badass. I would’ve used my entire Ego to get me to my defensive state. You’re ur own cheerleader 😭
The young man who was walking home from practice managed to do what many of us pretended to do when we were kids. He turned into a superhero when he armed himself with rocks and raised his voice. Seriously though, he was not only incredibly brave, he was smart as hell as well. But, maybe next time, Mom & Dad, don’t leave your kid to have to figure out how to save his own life while standing on the wrong side of the locked front door to the house he LIVES in. A key, garage door opener, a lock pick set, anything other than being left to fend for himself. Glad this young man was much smarter than the fools who were trying to do whatever it was they were trying to do.
man, one time I was sitting in my living room on the third story apartment and somebody tried the door knob aggressively. I looked through the peephole and I saw a hooded figure in all black running down the stairs so I stayed up all night with a measly Bowie knife hoping I could protect my family with that if needed. It's a weird feeling knowing that someone wants inside of your house the only place you typically feel most comfortable and safe.
Covering the cameras is exactly why I have ones that aren’t easily reached also pointed at doors and windows Also, if you can, go bags for everyone in the family. Ones that stay in the home and are easy to get to, in each room and the garage and in any cars owned. Fire and other natural disasters can give no warning and no time to pack. .gov sites for emergency preparedness can give lists of what to pack and have ready to go in an instant.

I can't believe such a young boy was walking home alone for one thing and also the fact that he wasn't even able to get inside of his own house when he finally got home because his mom had the door locked for some reason... If you know your kid isn't going to be home and you expect them to walk home, especially alone, at least make sure they have some way to get into their own house. At least give the child a key so that they'll be able to open the door themselves. Imagine how much worse it will get when ONLY the bad guys have guns because they've gotten them illegally, BUT those who simply want them for protection are NO longer able to get them anymore because of "gun reform"! GOOD people NEVER use guns on good people! Only BAD people use guns on good people! I don't understand how this logic isn't understood! This is the truth! If our "Constitutional Right To Bear Arms" is ever stripped from us, it's GOING to get so much worse than what any American generation has ever seen!

Along with the strange bewildered behavior and dilated pupils, that guy who followed the mom and son to the door had to be on something, frightening to think what could have been going through his mind in that state. I hand it to that kid who fled to his neighbors' house and picked up some rocks on the way just in case, preparing for different scenarios and ultimately getting out of there, thank God his neighbors were home!
@@SpareSomeChange8080 that is true, he could have been out there wandering around for some time and his eyes well adjusted to the darkness. Still his behavior seems very strange and not lucid. I would guess that he's under the influence of pcp or a non drug induced psychosis.
The idea of offering kids candy scares me when it comes to my son. He's very trusting and loves anything with sugar. You can tell a kid many times (and we have) about not trusting strangers, but if you aren't around you don't always know if they will remember what they are taught. As far as the one with the fire, I'm glad they didn't lose their house. I still don't understand why people still live in California. For the last one, forget the clothes. If you go out naked you'll look crazier than them. It'll at least take them off guard which gives you an edge.
My mum taught me very young to not accept candy from people. I took it way too literally when I wouldn't accept a chocolate from our friends down the street.
The kid in the third story has awful parents! Walking alone at night is never really safe regardless of age, but this is a child! And his family expects him to walk home alone at night, probably on a regular basis. The least they could've done was wait on the porch or ensure he could let himself inside, but they weren't even bothered to do that. I hope this taught them a lesson about being more responsible.
Despite the scariness that was caught on those cameras, it'll be smart to use that footage at court against the perpetrators in order to prosecute them. Chilling Scares is coming through November like usual.

OP is right, I lived alone for many years and then took my brother in. We get along fine, I feel safer, and happily we get along fine. Sorry, feminists. Women need men. Men need women.
There's a horrifying truism. You don't need to be able to outrun the bear, only to outrun the _other people_ fleeing from the bear. You don't need an unstealable car. Just a car that's a lot less stealable than most cars. Same with rapists. Constant vigilance.

Truly sad how many of these end with “…and the police did nothing.”
What do you expect them to do? The guy is gone and you have no idea who he is.
Yeah they're pretty much useless.

That kid handled the situation so bravely! At his age I don’t even know what I would’ve done. Glad he was okay 🙏🏻
Poor kid is walking home at night by himself, and then doesn’t even have a way to get in his house? Great parents!
Cheap too!
And people question why we need firearms………
You wouldn’t need them if you had proper security in the first place. I’m Polish. My door is literally 6 inches thick. It can’t even open properly even if you have a key you have to push really hard for it to unlock. The windows are super thick as well. We have a tall wall and fence surrounding the home. Yeah, sure, we get unexpected visitors sometimes, but we never answer.
@@IggyGeCatondon't argue that parts of polish aren't extremely dangerious. I've been twice. Come on
@@IggyGeCaton There are situations where you aren't behind a big door where a gun would be useful. Not sure why you even bring it up, since the people in this videos were behind doors that weren't broken down.
Stay inside, call the police, never open the door or go outside. NEVER.
Stay inside, stay armed. Police don't do sh*t
pigs never do anything to help. they just serve to keep sheep in their place.
Home owner in the last video is a very brave man. Thin line between bravery and folly in a situation like that though
It’s always best to just stay inside your home or vehicle if there is a possible threat outside bc there could always be another that you cannot see
Edit: I realised he held a golf club not a rapier so just got rid of that conclusion
You never know what they might be carrying so it's best to stay inside & call the cops. If they start to break in, you can always yell out that you have a gun, whether you do or not. Even home invaders don't usually want to play those odds.
Not really, he walked away from his door leaving it completely available for like 10 seconds if the guy was still around
So much can go wrong. Im all for self defense but never sacrifice safety and security for bravado. Brave yes, stupid very much so.
I didnt see brave, just stupid. The purpose of the door is to keep bad things out. The purpose of a door bell camera is to let one know of bad things. The purpose of police is to get the bad things. The purpose of a golf club is to hit golf balls.
I started laughing, “they were gone by the time police arrived & never caught” became a running joke
the police are also a joke, nothing but a cleanup crew. Acab, carry all the time and use it freely 👍
@@BeetleBunsacab? Maybe if you didn't attack cops whenever they enter your communities they'd be more willing to help you.
No one attacks cops cops attack people educate yourself dumbass
You are only being sensible. These videos prove that no policeman will ever come in time to save you.
Very based. Stay safe, fam.
They always have a way of getting in and kill. You will forever live in panic and scare.
@@suhailaljady270 Enjoy being a victim. Don’t ask everyone else to join you.
That kid that grabbed rocks and tried defending himself, was super badass.
I would’ve used my entire Ego to get me to my defensive state. You’re ur own cheerleader 😭
Rooting for urself, I’d be doing the exact same thing mostly
7:21 that vacant stare gives me chills 😮
How many homeless are camped outside many cities now. Horrible

I was super worried for that kid but glad he knew what to do in that situation and ran to the neighbors house.
That boy is one smart kid! He knew exactly what to do! I’m proud of him.

Chilling Scares you seriously have one of the best contents out there! I wish you uploaded more but when you do it’s awesome!
Covering the cameras is exactly why I have ones that aren’t easily reached also pointed at doors and windows
Also, if you can, go bags for everyone in the family. Ones that stay in the home and are easy to get to, in each room and the garage and in any cars owned. Fire and other natural disasters can give no warning and no time to pack. .gov sites for emergency preparedness can give lists of what to pack and have ready to go in an instant.
Oh my god, so terrifying! I'm glad that little boy is okay. I'm not saying you can't have your door locked because of course, that's safer than not locking it but the kid has to have a way to get back in.
I so rarely get chills with these videos. Some are truly horrifying to watch. But that one about the fire?? Endless chills. Holy shit that was heart wrenching to watch. To be so terrified for your life, your home, the place and people around you who you’ve come to know so well?? I can’t even imagine that terror. I’m so glad it sounds like everyone got out okay.
A 10 year old boy walking home alone and no one there? Extraordinary! Child services should be contacted.
Yes completely agree what would've happend if that kid was 3 years younger he probably would've fallen for it 😮

They should add features to homes, where a cage can trap the people at the door, like you see in some jewelry stores.

This channel's catchphrase: "By time the police arrived the man was gone"
Along with the strange bewildered behavior and dilated pupils, that guy who followed the mom and son to the door had to be on something, frightening to think what could have been going through his mind in that state. I hand it to that kid who fled to his neighbors' house and picked up some rocks on the way just in case, preparing for different scenarios and ultimately getting out of there, thank God his neighbors were home!
possibly drugs, but remember all this is shot in night vision with infrared light, so people's pupils will be dilated in the dark regardless.
Why do I watch this stuff at night before bed...no sleep now! 😅
What mother locks the front door and not give their child a key? Poor kid couldn’t even get into his own house! Good thing his neighbors were home!
Man I love your videos so much, your way of talking, the music, the short talk all gets you in the right mood for this kind of videos
The most obvious description is skin color but the narrator says only that they are males and have facial hair. Moronic.
Despite the scariness that was caught on those cameras, it'll be smart to use that footage at court against the perpetrators in order to prosecute them.

There's a horrifying truism.
You don't need to be able to outrun the bear, only to outrun the _other people_ fleeing from the bear.
You don't need an unstealable car. Just a car that's a lot less stealable than most cars.
Same with rapists. Constant vigilance.
The guy should have never gone outside to confront the intruder; especially with no protection other than that club. That was a very unsafe move.
Why do people always wait so long to call police. In half these videos they end up talking about how they waited until they “did this other thing” before calling the cops. Some dude follows you to your door and tries to open the door….call the police immediately.

The most disturbing thing is the almost uselessness of calling police. I am a law enforcement supporter, and I think we should have more officers available around the country. However, this lack of officers increases reaction time to incidents like these. I hope videos like this encourage others to prepare for events like this happening to them.
My stomach full on turned into knots seeing the faces of the men close to the camera holy crap I’ve never experienced a big physical reaction like this to a video before
