First Drive with the KOENIGSEGG CC850 in the Swiss Alps!

- In this video we take you with us on a joyride in the brand new Koenigsegg CC850 through the Swiss Alps. 1385 hp and 1385 Nm from a twin-turbo V8 make for adequate propulsion in the 1385 kg hypercar! The power goes to the rear wheels through a complicated transmission that allows for manual shifting but, if desired, can be put into automatic mode.
The car pays tribute to Koenigsegg's first production car, the CC8S, taking design cues from the timeless Competition Coupes. Built for the 20th anniversary of the CC8S and Christian von Koenigsegg's 50th birthday the car is limited to only 70 units!

@@r129r16pfl It will come. Car is basically not really delivered yet. Production start is this year. This was some kind of pre production version.
This car kinda gives me a split personalities!!!! Amazing!!!!!! That shift from auto to manual real quick already gave me a goosebumps!!!!! It's like your friendly neighborhood guy at the day but becomes a cold racer at night (idk how I'd exactly describe the night part but I'm sure that it gives something that's really chilling to the bones) anyways, this is the most innovative and genius transmission I've ever seen!!! Well done, Christian Von Koenigsegg!!!

that was obvious, but crazy non-feasible... until there came a man without care of mass production.
@@artemfilatov8161 There is in theory an easier way with hybrid cars. Put the gear in neutral, put E mode in traffic, let the engine charge the battery and you're good to go. All other times there's nothing like a manual.
Only for rich people though.

Ja, das war zeitweise sehr schmal :) Der Sound war wirklich mega, insbesondere zwischen den Häusern.
I remember back when I was young I'd choose any koenigsegg when it comes to Hyper cars when I wanna compete with friends or hard mode on any racing game on ps2

the odometer of this is better than the jesko and gemera, the moving display will just make you less focus on the road at turns and additional stress to your eyes tracking the position.
I would buy this transmission if he sold it separately and install it on every car that I own. The dream.
Did you use E85 Ethanol for extra power and low emissions or just gas? (Lower performance and high fossil fuel emissions)

Back When I owned a car with a manual transmission I couldn’t let anyone else drive because I couldn’t stand it when they’d select the wrong gear for the situation. Same reason I couldn’t watch this video all the way to the end. Guess this driver just likes the constant sound high revs.
In a car like this, sometimes you want to hear the engine roar.

@@alexprost7505 even though its a fake manual but the koenigsegg LST can behave like a normal traditional manual gearbox so if you in the wrong gear it can stall the car

Frustrating to see these great cars in a small town in Switzerland where it's only possible to idle around on tiny roads.
It does seem an odd place to show off an incredible car. Hardly going to show its potential, but obviously no the point here...

People just imagine the Regera successor with engine from Jesko combined with electric engines from Gemera 💪 ultimate GT megacar
I would put the Quark motors on the front wheels this time. Another quark can work as the crank motor. Maybe the rear motor can also have a supercapacitor. For now we use the Jesko engine, but imagine a camless V8!! So 1600 HP (engine) +1005 HP (3 quarks) - 2605 HP. 1580 kg kerb weight with full fuel (Regera 1590 kg) - Power to Weight Ratio 1.64. YIKES!

Both. It's logic based..... The logic being if you was in manual you can stall it. If you was in auto D and pulled it into R it can not stall.

@@delzabrown Thanks! Per your explanation, when in neutral, the default should be manual, so if you directly pull it into R from neutral you need to use clutch. Am I correct?
@@ROY-qo6ts in the video I watched I think CVK was actually still deciding that I believe. But my guess would be no only for convenience. I reckon he'd think if you parked and turned off the engine. When you come back and pull it into R you might not be in the mind frame to use manual / if a random friend was behind the wheel I personally would want it to be an automatic experience from there.
I personally wouldn't want them stalling and bumping walls/cars or stalling in the middle if the road with the tail out.
That being said I would also assume if the clutch was engaged it will then have the "stallability " of a manual.
Ultimately I'm guessing. But I honestly remember that question being asked to CVK

This is what I was referencing. I got it a little wrong. But it did sound like he is actively considering special cases and what is the best decision.
He also mentioned that over time he plans to update the ECU programming for the gearbox tuning by Internet, if he makes a better fine tune etc. So I assume his intentions as providing the owner with the best experience.
Also from about 12 minutes in he talks about the gearbox. So go back and watch if you're interested

Блин, я вдруг понял на сколько это тупо.. достаточно было сделать управление сцеплением рычагом, тоесть рычаг кпп просто бы выполнял функцию педали сцепления, хотя это тоже так себе. Размыкание сцепления при нажатие на оба лепестка вполне достаточно, или просто поставить педаль сцепления

You'd have more fun driving a nice muscle car with ttop or convertible on those roads. You'll never take that car anywhere in the realm of it's potential on those roads, and you'd just be antsy or afraid of wrecking it.
