@@anujgaike9088 signed to Mercedes where? In what series? He hasn't raced in F1 since 2016. And Koenigsegg doesn't compete in any racing series. Nico Rosberg is completely off the hook and independent he can definitely choose to test drive one of these around a track for a Nords record.
Nico drove that car with the confidence of both a world champion and someone who could afford to pay for repairs it he stuffed it into a mountain wall. No auto journalist would have pushed half as hard. Cheers Nico!
I think Nico mention in a video that he had a chance to own a Regera, and he was contemplating between a Regera or the Rimac Nevera. And he chose the Rimac.

@@budokpantai yup he'll probably have to pay like 300k for the allocation but it's worth it the Rimac kinda replaces the lack of sound and extremely heavy 2150kg weight with frightening speed

@Shadys Back tell a friend no f1 means less stress i would say although its important to say that if you do something with passion then its positiv stress but ofc it also is demanding since you travel a lot and have a rigid shedule.
Koenigseggs are beyond incredible. Loved the interview and find it unbelievable that he was able to accomplish building such crazy uncompromising cars while taking no salary for like 5 years. Even though these are truely unattainable materpeices for most of us, its truely amazing to see a standard be set so high.

Me too But I don't think they'll last long lol or that they'll even have lap records at all Unless the Aston Martin Valkyrie is as disappointing as the Aston Martin F1 car, they would hold all the records wherever they are bold enough to go 1,000 hp, 1030kg, 2,000kg downforce Compare that to Jesko that's 400kg heavier, 600 more horsepower which is turbocharged so it's more like 700 more horsepower, 1,100 kg less downforce, etc. it's really not a contest Even on the straights, the Jesko would take like 5 seconds before it overtakes the Valkyrie on a race track
Hi Toto, one tip from me: why not replace the wastegate with the throttle valve in front of the compressor? Please let me know your thoughts :) The compressor would spin in near vacuum and would allow exhaust flow in the turbine through. Max rpm can be limited by the generator.

That car looks absolutely amazing!! Really wish I could experience driving it! Christian‘s torque converter makes soooo much sense to me. Eliminating a component of the drive train like the gearbox which causes you to lose up to 15%(!) of your power and losing that enormous amount of weight is something all manufacturers should have thought of a long time ago. But they were thinking conventionally.

My ALL TIME FAV car!!! I love the engineering behind this, the engine soundtrack doesn't do justice to the raw speed this car has! Also while I like the carbon finish I do prefer the interior in the more standard models as it is more luxurious.

Here we have Nico Rosberg. One of the best Formula One driver ever, probably drove and owned The most advanced supercars that man can drive and own, but his reaction regarding driving this supercar just as would be mine,real excitement, honest feelings, pure professionalism. My favourite F1 driver for a reason!!!👍👍
You guys should watch the video describing the Koenigsegg "torque amplifier". It's a custom bit of kit that they spent a LOT of engineering on. All of the talk about the torque convertor grossly over simplifies what they achieved with that thing. And it's insanely small and lightweight too. But still able to handle crazy horsepower. There is definitely a video on the Koenigsegg channel that describes it in detail. But it may be contained in a video about of the cars. Possibly the Regera, I can't remember.
@@ViaMirage In German when talking about unknown old ladies in third person we often say „Oma“ which translates to grandmother. Probably because of that. Saying grandmother in such a situation is perfectly normal in German but somehow very weird in English.

Car manufacturing has had so many breakthroughs in these last few years from koenigsegg its insane. Between the single gear drive in the regera with an insane torque converter to simulate gears, to the 6 clutch transmission in the jesko, to the new cc850 where it uses the same transmission as the jesko that you can also drive as a 6 speed manual through an electronic shifter mimicking feel and response of the original cc8s and the clutch pedal is directly operating the hydraulic pressure of the six clutches in the transmission. On top of that in the auto mode you can change your gear ratio on the fly to change the driving characteristics... its just all mindblowing.
A sheer technological brilliance being a hybrid version it is a beast Innovative torque engine without a gear box the smartest decision by the makers THANK YOU NICO YOU ARE FANTASTIC!!!!!!

Quite a few F1 drivers have had accidents on the road. Hamilton crashed a Zonda in to 3 parked cars a few years back, in Monaco too :P
