Yes, I learned to type on that typewriter,lol. When they came out with a selectric typewriter, I was in heaven. That was the best one ever. The keypad was so comfortable you could type a mile a minute.

I remember army crawling around cowpies as I had 3 brothers and gobs of cousins so playing army was big! But if my Cousin Julie came over it was all Barbies! I was at an antique mall today and saw the perfect gift for the friend who has everything: an Elvis figurine immersed in a jelly candle! I should have taken a picture 😅

Loved that typewriter. We had to know how to clean and change the ribbon. I enjoied the instruments. I studied classical piano. However, in my home we grew up in all types of music. Country was always expected. As always a wonderful adventure with you. I am so glad i discovered you with that sweet voice taking my mind back through history. Much love to you suga.❤

Loved everything, especially the old radio! Beautiful cabinet! Yes, I too learned to type on a manual typewriter in high school ( in 10th grade ) and the following year, I learned how to type on an electric typewriter. My goodness, what a transformation that was! lol! I too, think mixing china plates as well.
The Japanese box was absolutely gorgeous! Loved the designs!
The best was the converted bathroom sink, gorgeous! Mind you, don’t think I would have converted that piece of furniture into a sink, too pretty.
Definitely did my fair share of rolling down hills, playing hide and seek and tag. And I can remember when rolling down a hill, the furthest thing from all of our minds, was getting ticks! I lived in a neighbourhood, with the countryside surrounding us. We had a humongous field with pine cones, woods in front of our houses and a farm at the bottom of our street. Had hours of fun playing throughout the year, especially on summer holidays. Oh and I can’t forget jump rope and hopscotch.

Happy Monday to you. Oh goodness I really want to come up there so badly. I love these trips. Lol, we played outside yes! Climbing trees, making villages in the dirt ( using a hoe to make roads”, jumping out of the hayloft , jumping off the top of the diary barn, messing around in the creek, playing red rover, dodge ball. Oh and the best of of all( not), blind man’s bluff and opening your head open on a solid hard wood tree, only to find everyone had gone off and left me screaming. 🤦🏼😜🤪. See what I’m so cray cray.😅😂😂😂😊❤

Thanks you for another great video. I make handmade greeting cards. Those beads would be perfect for ‘shaker cards’. Cards that have a clear dome with little beads or tidbits inside the dome are shaker cards. The Watauga Habitat does not have the unique pieces that Caldwell does. Could be that the Caldwell Habitat is closer to the high end furniture factories like Bernhardt, so Caldwell gets primo new furniture and bolts of fabrics. Did score a pristine piece of Baccarat crystal at the Watauga Habitat for $1.00. What a deal!!!! Still can’t believe it. One of my greatest scores to date! I always love, love, love your videos.

I loved seeing the vintage items Kelly. So interesting. Like going to a museum. I didn't grow up in the country exactly, more like a small suburb. But we still climbed trees and caught poliwags in a tiny pond in the orchard behind my cousin's house.
That sounds like a wonderful place to grow up! 🤸♀️🏃♀️🌳I had forgotten about pollywogs. 🐸We called them tadpoles. 😁My cousins had a pond, and we'd see them at the edge. 💧Thanks for the memory! 🤗💜🤗
I wrote in a later version typewriter. The coin mashine are still used in my state with 25 cents. If the chandelier can't be rewired, I would definitely add battery-powered candles and you still can enjoy it.

Yes I typed on these in high school. But my DAD worked for Underwood typewriter company in Hartford,Conn. he retired from there in 1968.

We enjoyed watching your video this morning. My Aunty remembers all the happy times on her family farm. She wasn’t allowed any trousers of her own but her oldest brother would let her wear his spare pair - she says she didn’t ever tell her mother!
