Abuse can hide in plain sight. I once worked with a very respected person who taught self defense courses for women and helped establish a shelter for abused women. She initiated campus safety guidelines for women in our state universities and was available for consultation to many other organizations as well. The sad truth was that she herself was in a verbal and physically abusive relationship with her husband who was a well respected academic. Eventually the abuse ended when her husband left her for a younger woman. Kayla is a very brave woman to admit her escape from an abusive marriage. It gives hope to others in a similar situation. It is hard to break the cycle even if you are an "expert" on the topic.
So sorry for your relationship. I admire you for admitting your marriage problems and needing someone to talk to. Thank you for sharing.

I was shocked at how expensive the things were at the estate sale, but even more shocked on how large the collection was. It made me think that it’s not the treasures on earth that make us happy.

That estate sales prices nauseated me, it’s hard to believe that you were able to get anything either from it already being sold or not at a reseller’s rate. I’m glad you didn’t give up on your channel, you are a very smart woman! I was watching Matt’s Peaches to the beaches when I saw you and subbed, I couldn’t get over how excited you were driving to pick him up out in the middle of nowhere and it turned out to be that treehouse…that was the coolest thing ever…and the rest is history!! Kayla , I have been thru a abusive physical and mentally abusive relationship it was horrible everyone loved him cause they didn't know the dark side, I was so lonely in that marriage until I said enough is enough...prayers for a happy life!! 🙏💗

Thank you for sharing! My Ex husband is very similar. Everyone thought he was soooooooo nice. He never let it slide in front of others. Abuse isn't just a black eye. Like you, i also kept up appearances. He always had a crisis going on in his life, and eventually, i realized it didn't matter how much i helped him, emotionally or financially or with his business, it was never enough. He never said he was sorry and at the end he blamed me for everything. Threatened to kill himself, throw my aunt in jail, turn my daughter against me. Just nasty once that mask fell off. He drained me in every way, including financial. I started reselling when i had a 6 month old baby. Thank you for your knowledge and strength. I hope to meet someone like Matt one day. ❤

I had an abusive husband for 16 years I finally got the courage to ask for a divorce and he claimed he would change he would do better but I had lost all love for him or respect for. A lot of people I worked with knew my husband and took his side but they didn’t know the things he did to me at home he didn’t show that side to them but I overcame it all and now I’ve been with my second husband 38 years and he’s never acted like my first I glad you are in a happier place . Matt seems to be real nice I never cared for his wife on the videos with her I felt she was using him him and he could never satisfy her that’s just me I’m good at figuring out some people .

I let them enjoy their life) but there was nobody on the beach and if I was there and you two were there, I would’ve definitely talked😂

This will be sappy, but I have learned that I need to be reminded how well I am doing. I did not know extent of your leaving and what you were up against. I used to be someone who wondered why someone did not leave an abusive situation, until I found myself in one and the level of mental, emotional, financial and physical strength it took to leave was beyond anything I could have imagined. For you to do that in the spotlight and to keep growing as a reseller took the respect I already had for you to an even higher level.
So, you’re doing amazing. I am proud of you. And don’t doubt it for a second.
