Hey Victoria! 🤔… are you replacing and existing fan or installing something completely new?… the existing fan should have a box to connect too… if it’s completely new you’ll need to install and run wires
When I moved in there was a ceiling fan there, but anytime you flipped the switch it blew the breaker. Somehow the wires had spun and got wound up rubbed bare and were touching. Lady I bought the house from had her nephew come take down the old ceiling fan and capped the house wiring. I’ll look into it more after I get a ladder this weekend, I’m vertically challenged, my step stool isn’t tall enough. I think what had me confused is there’s a circular bracket looking thing, but from what I can see from standing below I take that off and then the bracket will be able to connect. Thanks for such quick responses. If for some reason I get stumped I’ll come back with questions. Thank you again

Is there some way I could get ahold of just one of the blade arms? My fan had one snap off after I accidentally hit it and I'm hoping to avoid having to install a completely new one

Only thing I might suggest would be to look for a replacement fan blade online… maybe search facebook marketplace or you could make one yourself… trace and cut the fan blade from a sturdy material 1/4 plywood or plexiglass maybe… the weight distribution is important so the fan doesn’t wobble/out of balance

Hey Linda! You should have more that one wire…. Was the fan running before?.. Is it possible that one wire got cut back or off?… does the grey wire have more wires inside if it? (If it’s wider/flatter, it’s probably Romex which you would cut the sheath off to expose the other 3-4 wires inside.
That’s the ground wire, you can screw it to the metal frame… the electrical box should have something 😁👍… the previous home owner cut mine off lol, I should run a new wire
Are you still active on this video/ channel?? I’m trying to mount the three screws for the motor to the bracket, but the third one- the side with a single screw- doesn’t screw into the bracket and stay. It poke through, but doesn’t thread. What did I’d to wrong??
Hey Meg! 😁 You are using the screw you removed from the fan motor? My guess is if it doesn’t fit it’s either a factory defect or using the wrong screw 🤔… they had 3 pre-installed/out-of-the-box screws on the motor bracket that need to be removed and then used to hold both parts together when you sandwich the fan motor to the ceiling mounted bracket
Hey Auto, in my opinion it’s just ok. It has 3 settings when you pull the chain it goes high -> med -> low, then off. If I had to compare it to a box fan (which it think has good airflow) it’s about half of that on the high setting… I put two in my kitchen to keep the air moving when oven/stove is on. One positive comment is that it’s quiet, so it’s a good bedroom fan at night

Heya! 😁 generally the red is the secondary hot/positive but not always the case.. you could put an electrical tester on it to know for sure

I only have 1 gray wire the comes out of the ceiling the wire that connected to the last fan was white labeled "neutral"

Hello. Do these fan output a lot of air? I installed one and there's barely any air. The direction switch is forward.
