One of the reasons why people think "crush your enemy totally" law is evil is because they only see enemy in human form. Eg. Make laziness, poverty, etc your enemy then that law will have a different meaning.
I would really love to consider that interpretation. However, if that is the real meaning of that law, why the example of applying the law that comes with it is a revenge story that refers to a person?
@@regaininglife9084 If you believe in crushing others and feel entitled to being greedy and evil, this book is perfect for you, go for it. That is a psychopathic point of view, just FYI, but be my guest. But don't justify yourself by saying "most people are like this too", because they are not. And even if they were, that wouldn't mean you had to act in the same way. Revenge (and every one of your actions) is a choice and describes you, not anybody else.
@@regaininglife9084 Nobody has control or power over me, I don't need to control others to keep control over my own life. It is not a manipulators vs. manipulated world, you just need to defend yourself, which does not mean attacking others. But again, that is a psychopathic point of view and that might be why you feel so identified with this book. Check it out, make a test, educate yourself about psychopathy, you may find an explanation to a lot of your emotions and lack thereof.
I’m a fan of Robert Greene, He see human as they are. Not sugar coated and see the desire we have not as something dirty or embarrassing. I think you have to be really honest with yourself and acknowledge your true desire. Working towards them is what lead you to fulfilling life. His book could help us notice if we are being manipulated or used and also giving us the theory to do so. It depends on how you will use it. You could use the knowledge for something good and as he said most nastiest people actually don’t need his book about manipulation. They learn it naturally. Also good job to Jay. This is actually his first podcast I ever watched and I’m impressed at the quality of his questions. I think it’s one of the best podcast of Robert Greene I ever watched.
So full of wisdom and humble. The greatest ever!!!!! Love how transparent he is and how he really puts things into perspective. I wish I had the pleasure of sitting in a class and him teaching me. But his books are soooo amazing and are teaching me a lot. He’s definitely a jewel.
A remarkable life and mindset. No wonder he has become so wise. We are all so lucky for having him make it easier for all of us through the books he wrote. That story about the shirt shall stick with me for a while. I wish Robert Greene all the best in health and life.
The conversation was balanced between you two and Shetty's questions made Greene's book all the more interesting and understood. Thank you for a great interview.
I was actually just recommended his book 48 laws of power. I looked it up as an audio format and checked the reviews and was so confused with the drastic contrast in the various negative and positive reviews because the person who suggested it to me is a very worldly minded person. Then one day later (today) a completely different person sends me this link, and suddenly i have full context of the mind behind the book! Clearly this was meant for me, and I'm so glad to have witness this interview, it has been immensely insightful and i look forward to learning from the book so much more now
At a certain time in my life I experienced celebrity and success, 100 employees in the company that my dad owned cheered for me, loved me and came back to me to solve their issues, I got elevated from reality and rivaled my boss's who's been hired by my dad and built the company, I ate shit. I can totally relate to what Robert is saying about the danger of success.
1. Robert Greene is a genius 2. Whatever he talks about seems like he transitioned from the material to spiritual 3. Ths things he pointed out exist in the social fabric of eastern life esp in India. Life is very visceral and inescapable and also feels exciting for the same reason.
Each interview I watch of yours has helped process these difficult emotions. Being able to understand how I can control my emotions has saved me so much from unnecessary stress and anxiety. Thank you, for posting these.
I can tell he is an empathy that sees and feels and understand the world and people he reads people. Rhat is a great skill to have. Very inspirational.
Here are my 10 extra tips to INCREASE your daily manifestations that I’ve learned over the years..👇🏾 1. Practice gratitude every morning. When you wake up, list everything that you are grateful for and feel that gratitude in your core. Feel free to write things down in a journal so it is easy for you to remember. 2. Replace your negative thoughts with positive ones. Every time you feel a negative thought coming on, make a positive spin on it right away. 3. Take ownership for things that happen in your life. It's easy to blame others however you will feel much better when you realize that most issues stem from us. 4. ALWAYS believe that good things are about to happen. By being open to new possibilities you are inviting abundance into your life. 5. Remember that like attracts like so you get back whatever you put out, whether it is good or bad. So do good AND received good. 6. Meditate for five minutes a day. During this time focus on how you want your life to be; but place your focus on how you feel AND feel that feeling as if you have already accomplished those goals. 7. Step outside of your comfort zone. Stop playing it safe and make that decision to finally go for your dreams. 8. Focus on activities that make you feel truly happy. When you are truly happy you have the best vibrational frequency to manifest your desires. 9. Avoid the naysayers and surround yourself with people who only lift you higher. Downers will be downers, don't let them drag you into their misery. 10. Don't be afraid to dream and know that you are always supported by the universe. Hope this helps! - Your Friendly Neighborhood Coach ❤
Many thanks, I really applied the majority of these tips. I hope to excel in them at one point... I just want to tell everyone that these tips are working and they are doing magic in my life!
I've seen you post this in other channels... Just to point out. Your take on practicing gratitude is scientifically wrong and doesn't have the benefits you espouse. If you are stepping up and taking the responsibility of teaching. Teach correctly.
Thank you so much for this. I was one of those ones that thought of the book 48 Laws of Power as being evil, and I am now ashamed of thinking that way. I want the hardback and the audio asap 🙌🏾 Thank you again 💛
Great subject. Every action we take is a power play. Every word we speak is too. We catagorize people in our minds as them having power over us or us having the power. The trick is to surround yourself with those people whom you feel equal to.
Tips To Heal Your Energy & Raise Your Vibration! - Let go of your ego - Expand your consciousness & awareness - Keep your environment clean - Go outside & connect with nature everyday - Listen to music that heals your soul - Think before you react with emotions - Isolate yourself from people holding you back - Eat more healthy greens - Meditate daily - Love yourself more - Philanthropy! - Eliminate clutter from your life - Practice gratitude Hope you found this helpful!

Robert Greene is very underrated. 48 Laws of Power is an iconic masterpiece. I don’t necessarily agree with all of them but it’s a book I would read more than once.
I am currently isolating myself. I'm trying to heal. When I was young I was a very optimistic, happy person. And that's how my old friends knew me. But, I eventually changed. It was a gradual change. In recent years I realized I was on occasion behaving as a Karen. I was isolated for a while. Then I went shopping. I started the day with an optimistic attitude as I once used to be. During that outing, I realized a wave of darkness coming over me. I was picking up other people's negative energy in the store. I checked out and left the store immediately. I isolated myself once again, meeting with people only for brief minutes at a time avoiding crowds because it was in that crowd where I felt that negative flow. In my isolation I enjoy listening to Robert Greene's positive philosophies among others. I am also self reflecting. Have I gone crazy? How can I be picking up other people's energy? Is this my imagination or is it my own bad energy I am just trying to project on others? Am I avoiding taking personal responsibility for my own attitude? But, this bad attitude wasn't who I used to be many years ago. This is not my core. I am trying to connect back to my core. The negative energies of other people didn't affect me then. I had sort of a barrier around me that bounced those negative comments away from me. I didn't take things personally then. I worked as a property manager. I was trained to attend to the needs of others, reasonable or not. I was trained to believe that their dissatisfaction was my fault and needed to fix it. I took on everybody's problems and toxicity by neglecting my own instinct to protect myself for the sake of the corporation I was working for. I am now retired. Now it is my turn to take care of myself. I will isolate, heal, grow back what I have lost, trust my own instinct and ignore those who tell me isolating myself is not healthy. Well, exposing myself to toxicity has not been healthy either. Weighing the two, staying away from people for as long as I can makes me happy. I choose the happy alternative.
I never heard someone so intelligent as Robert. I have The 48 Laws of Power book but never read it yet! After hearing this video I'm gonna read it as well as Think Like a Monk which I also have. Thank you Robert and Jay for such an emotional video, for me I cried 😢 happy tears of course. I can't wait to see more videos with Robert ❤
Love and gratitude to Robert Greene and Jay Shetty, both Idols of mine! I am currently reading 48 laws of power and the Art of Seduction and it changed my perspective completely. "Those who love peace must learn to organize as effectively as those who love war." from ML. King as Jay mentioned it brings it so perfectly on point and I'm definetely gonna use that phrase to impress some girls lol. Love your podcast!
One of the most inspiring episodes ever. A great supporter of Robert Greene's work myself, blessed by his work, and, on the other side, happy to really connect with Jay Shetty and his podcast. Love, muchachos!
God! Robert all I need is u b immortal your teaching is immortal... This could end one's suffering in life and how to deal with it , loads of healing and players for you, thanks jay for this incredible podcast
I went to Amazon and bought his books. Thank you..these are the topics I am interested in, because I had been naive about true human nature (power politics) for a very long time...and had been scape goat on many occasions...now, all I am focused on is studying human psyche. Thank you 🙏
This was very powerful for me. I appreciate the messages you put out and the people you bring on. It’s crazy how some of your messages directly relate to my life right now and I’m so grateful. Thank you jay
Thanks a million for this video, Jay! I can’t wait to read Robert Greene’s next book “The Law of the Sublime”. Came to know about Robert because of this interview! I can’t get a copy of The 48 Laws of Power just yet but I know this book will be an asset. I love his energy and his teachings. May he be blessed with good health...I wouldn’t add wealth for money is never his goal~...which is probably the only idea I’m opposed to.
Always wanted to listen to this gentleman & what a great privilege it is to keep listening to Sir Robert Greene totally awesome being one of his greatest admirers Sir Robert Greene deserves the title 'Guru' the genuine motivator & Guide to the whole generation of us, Jay thanks for inviting personalities like Sir' please keep doing more & more podcast with him its live knowledge flowing.
This video has really helped me. What Robert Greene was saying about control in life that we don't have much control but we do have some. I read that Michael Jackson really liked the book "The 48 Laws of Power". Robert Greene is American and is of the same generation as Michael Jackson.
I’ve made an effort to incorporate the podcast on my daily lunch break walk and listen weather I feel like the subject applies to me or not. I’ve never been a fan of forced optimism and fake joy, and was looking for content that would give me spiritual and practical ways of living. Listening to your podcast Jay made my life richer, I reflect deeper on things and have better insight and understanding of events and people. I have a lot of favourite episodes, however the one that gave me the courage to write a review was the one with Robert Greene. I knew his work but listening to his views and reasoning behind the writing was a pure joy. Having the honour to hear you two dialogue is something that I am immensely grateful for. Thank you for all the work that you and your amazing team do for all of us who listen and follow you . Warmest regards, Farrah xox
I wish and pray that Robert Greene lives a long and healthy life to give to the world the incredible gem of books and lessons which every soul in this planet needs so badly....🙏🙏

Thanks Jay for arranging this. What a wonderful & insightful dicussion with Robert Greene! The ending "Be Yourself" is important.
LUV LISTENING TO ROBERT, SO INTERESTING; HE IS NEVER BORING, A DEEP THINKER LIKE MYSELF! ALSO INTERVIEWER IS LOVELY YOUNG GUY!
A remarkable life and mindset. No wonder he has become so wise. We are all so lucky for having him make it easier for all of us through the books he wrote. That story about the shirt shall stick with me for a while. I wish Robert Greene all the best in health and life.
What a moment to be a life, because watching this great author of all times is charismatic.🙏
The conversation was balanced between you two and Shetty's questions made Greene's book all the more interesting and understood. Thank you for a great interview.
Prayers for a long and healthy life for Robert. I am indebted to have the benefit of his wisdom in my life
I was actually just recommended his book 48 laws of power.
1. Robert Greene is a genius
2. Whatever he talks about seems like he transitioned from the material to spiritual
3. Ths things he pointed out exist in the social fabric of eastern life esp in India. Life is very visceral and inescapable and also feels exciting for the same reason.
I'm very happy to see both in same podcast because I'm a big fan of Robert Greene and you sir ❤️
Biggest gift Robert has is unapologetic realism. His books are what your heart says yes to immediately.
the Niccolo machiaveli of our time,Robert Green 👌🏿👌🏿i'm his die hard fan from east Africa,Burundi 🇧🇮..his books opened my eyes👌🏿👌🏿

I love his book, it changed my perspective about power. Thank you Sir. Robert Green for sharing your knowledge to everyone.🙂🤩🤩🤩
Everything you do, see and feel is a reflection of not who you are, but how you are
You got this bestie keep striving
Each interview I watch of yours has helped process these difficult emotions. Being able to understand how I can control my emotions has saved me so much from unnecessary stress and anxiety. Thank you, for posting these.
This interview was everything. Robert has such a beautiful Spirit, and his work has such a profound impact on me. Love him so much!
My first time hearing about Robert Greene and so impressed with his wisdom and understanding of the human condition.
I can tell he is an empathy that sees and feels and understand the world and people he reads people. Rhat is a great skill to have. Very inspirational.
Here are my 10 extra tips to INCREASE your daily manifestations that I’ve learned over the years..👇🏾

Such a great provocation that you can get otherwise by listening to such outstanding persons.
Thank you so much for this. I was one of those ones that thought of the book 48 Laws of Power as being evil, and I am now ashamed of thinking that way. I want the hardback and the audio asap 🙌🏾 Thank you again 💛
I'm glad and proud to have opportunity to hear Robert Green. Before this episode I thought that he had bad intentions
Listening to robert ...tears comes from deep within can't figure out why... I become happy excited and teary.....Thank u Guyz

Great subject. Every action we take is a power play. Every word we speak is too. We catagorize people in our minds as them having power over us or us having the power. The trick is to surround yourself with those people whom you feel equal to.

Prayers unto you for peace and prosperity however God sees fit form you ❤️🙏
I never heard someone so intelligent as Robert.
I reaLy love watching and listening to Robert Green it helps me slot when i' m feeling low..
This man is simply amazing 💯🙏 Grateful to have this content available.
Mr. Grene sooths me, I want to listen to him for hours, a genius. I love him.

Absolutely amazing what Robert Greene saysin the most honest, real, huble way- Can't wait to read his books! Thank you :-)
Rober is really under rated in this world. He has no match.
Him wearing the same shirt that they cut off him during the stroke …so meaningful 👏
This video has really helped me. What Robert Greene was saying about control in life that we don't have much control but we do have some. I read that Michael Jackson really liked the book "The 48 Laws of Power". Robert Greene is American and is of the same generation as Michael Jackson.
Mr. Greene is very intense. Thank you for this message.
Blessed 😇
Warmest regards,
Farrah xox
