Awesome Restoration of a pistol with pistons!

In today's video, I will be restoring a Soviet toy - a piston-powered pistol. I purchased this gem at a flea market when I noticed a mark on it and realized it was an authentic Soviet artifact. After doing some research on the internet, I discovered that this pistol was manufactured in the Soviet Union in 1980 and was the dream of many young boys back then. It was designed to shoot pyrotechnic strip pistons, which unfortunately are no longer produced. However, you will still be able to see the mechanism in action at the end of the video. The pistol is made of tin and was in a rather rusty condition with a worn trigger mechanism. But thanks to my efforts, I was able to fix everything and breathe new life into this wonderful toy. I hope to eventually find the pistons or even develop my own. I invite you to join me in this fascinating process and witness the restoration of this old toy.

Not a difficult restoration, but well done. I've not seen strip caps for years, nor single caps. I think our British ones must have been imported from France; they always had the French name "amorces" on the containers. Most of our British guns had an American Wild West theme, but I did have a rather good Luger, and a science-fiction ray gun which fired caps. Bizarre 😂

В идеале воронить. Но это сложный процесс для жести, сложно будет добиться равномерного чернения. Тем более что она будет просто экспонатом без прямого назначения. Кстати оригинальное изделие тоже крашеное.
