Hi David, many thanks for your tips. I want to buy a handpan just to try to enjoy lerning to play an instrument (it would be my first one). I do not even know if I will be able to have any skills as I havent played anything yet. I do not have any big ambitions, I just want to enjoy the sounds and try to learn as much to entertain myself and my friends. Would you recommend anything which is not super expensive for testing if I will even like it and be able to learn anything? Given I havent played anything, seems risky to spend 1000$. Many thanks in advance!
Maybe try playing a tongue drum first before investing in a handpan? They're a lot more affordable (can get decent ones in the $150-300 range) and sound and work similar to handpan.
I'm new to this. As an enthusiastic beginner, would you always recommend buying a Drum or Pan in the key of C? I'm just wondering if the most musical tabs available are usually for a C drum/pan, or if I can just buy the one with the sound/key I like the best?
Ehy, is your website still active? When I go to the link in the description it directs me to a page to subscribe to a mailing list. I can't see where the list of handpans is, nor where I can listen to the different scales or browse different models. Are you reworkijg your website? Will it be available again in the future?
The marketplace is momentarily unavailable because we just upgraded our website. We will make announcements when it comes back. Thanks for your interest.
Actually, we're closer than ever! We'll be opening our handpan boutique IRL and online soon. Shelves are fully stocked with some of the world's best pans... Now we just need to launch it. If you want to be notified about the launch sale, you can sign up here: www.masterthehandpan.com/marketplace

Ouch, 1000 is a bit too low as unders 1200 it's pretty hard to find a nice sounding instrument

Actually, D Kurd is quickly becoming the world's most common handpan scale. The notes are D/ A Bb C D E F G A.

What one do I buy then???? I'm confused. You didn't mention any brands.

I would not call 2 handpans and 2 tongue drums a "big selection".
Me neither ahha but we are adding more makers in the next month and I wanted that video to last
