    Fully aware that many of you are familiar with the Redrum. But for that one person that just found Reason, this is the video for you! 😊

    Loved Redrum but these days it's Propulsion cabled to a Kong! Same concept but so many more options (velocities, different pattern lengths per drum, polyrhytms and you can "direct jump" pattern changes while staying in time in the measure. (great for fills and improvisation)). Great channel!

    Thanks Chris. The only sticking point for me with this method is the piano roll when working with hihats and snares. Gaining detailed control over pitches is difficult with automation. Often much easier to use a sampler like NNXT for this purpose.

      @Chrisreedbeats  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea you lose the full range to select your pitches with pitch automation. Agreed! 🙏🏾 thanks for watching!

    On one of your older A to Z videos on the Poly Step Sequencer, how are you connecting the Reddrum to the Poly Step????????? I'm one of the biggest Reason fans and can't find a video on that anywhere.

    Question....what the heck is the wave button for that's next to the folder button? Is says start sample when you place the mouse over it? Is that to import hardware sounds into it or what? Lol I'm like what is it for? I don't use it but I can't find anything online to find how to use it.

    • @Chrisreedbeats
      @Chrisreedbeats  ปีที่แล้ว

      That is exactly what it is for. There is some setup to be able to use it properly but yes you can click the wave and record a sample into that channel

    I name my tracks after random items I see on my desk, so "How I Met Your Mother" isn't bad.

    it's pronounced "RED rum" and it's from The Shining

    • @Chrisreedbeats
      @Chrisreedbeats  ปีที่แล้ว

      Re-drum because it’s a drum machine 😂😂😂

    • @Chrisreedbeats
      @Chrisreedbeats  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I know it spells out something in reverse as well. Never liked that from a music production software. Always preferred Re-drum.

      @@Chrisreedbeats you are mis-pronouncing it but that's not a surprise
