  • In August 2021, I hiked along 30 km of the Guernsey coast path. I walked a section beginning in St Peter Port along the south west cliffs to Rocquaine Bay.
The hike took me 9 hours and I climbed almost 2,500 metres in elevation due to all the bays and headlands I had to ascend and descend.

Guernsey holds a round-the-island walk each year. 16 miles of the cliff paths and 24 miles of road/track. It's a killer!

Cheers Donavan, completely agree. The tunnel really came out of nowhere! Was a bit of a surprise to find. It's a fantastic area, can't recommend it enough 👍🏼

Walked a large section of this earlier in the year - and those steps are a killer (especially as from time to time there seems to be step slightly bigger and it jars your knee - worth it though). Cheers for the video

Hey Matt, Rob here again commenting from Pembrokeshire vid. Will be doing this in September with 3 others (circular walk around the entire island), then 2 nights on Sark. Any tips would be very welcome!

Hi Rob. Very lucky. It's a brilliant walk and this section along the south coast is probably my favourite but it's all lovely. Take lots of water and snacks, particularly along the southern section as it's quite remote. Sark I know extremely well as that's where my family live. You must visit La Coupee and I recommend walking down the steps to Grand Greve beach. Stocks is a great hotel to stay in. Make sure you visit La Sablonnerie on Little Sark and La Seigneurie - House and Gardens, on Big Sark. Hiring bikes is the best way to get around but you can also explore a lot on foot. Enjoy enjoy!
