Beauty = strength + grace. This is beautiful.
I love Ghiaurov so much!
Me to!
Heard him many times beginning in 1965. A very great singer in his prime.
Wonderful singing.
i luv his mezza voce..
What about Bonaldo Giaiotti? He was not a real bass?
He was a real bass. One of the clear-sounding and loudest!
Is this the 1967 recording?
It doesn't seem so but I may be wrong
I think it's from the Giulini recording ...
Confutatis maledictis,
flammis acribus addictis, voca
me cum benedictis.
Oro supplex et acclinis,
cor contritum quasi cinis
gere curam mei finis.
Why are the lyrics exactly the same to 'Confutatis' from Mozart's Requiem? Did Verdi copy Mozart? Or did they both copy from the same source???
@@hoangdang6142 yes verdi copy the lyrics but its different sound and he add dies irae to it
@@classicalmusic9466 do not give false information: Verdi did not copy from Mozart. The Requiem Mass was not written by Mozart or by Verdi, it was probably written in 1560 and was a mass for the dead that was recited in church. They just set it to music.
Magnifique !
The last real bass for me is Samuel Ramey.
great baritone or rossiniano bass-baritone
definitely not a baritone
