  • This 3-D animation shows how the Ebola virus exploits a naturally occurring protein in our cells called NPC1 to cause infection and spread in the body. Narrated by Kartik Chandran, Ph.D., professor of microbiology & immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Link to full video:

      In the Bhagavad-gītā Lord Krishna says that success in any undertaking depends on five factors: the place; the doer; one’s various senses, like the eye and ear; the different kinds of endeavor; and finally daiva. Daiva may be taken to mean destiny or fate, which is another way of saying one’s karma. And finally it refers to the hand of the Supreme, the divine controller of all time and events. The ignorant person who imagines “Success depends only on me” cannot, Krishna says, see things as they are. The race cannot always be to the swift, the battle always to the strong, because time and events lie beyond our control. Behind all events are the workings of karma, of destiny, and behind the workings of destiny, behind time itself, is the original cause of everything, the divine will of the Supreme.

    Our immune system is way more complex than what is explaind in this video. This video wants the viewers to believe that our immune system is incapable of fighting ebola virus. Our brain can send signals to fix the virus entries in the gene sequence. Our bodies work in a very complex manner and there are so many things are still less understood or unknown even to the scientific community.

    • @charleshealy341
      @charleshealy341 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Finally, an intelligent question. Yes, Marburg is another hemorrhagic fever, first discovered 15 years or so, ahead of Ebola. they both manifestby causing a person to bleed to death. Marburg is incredibly lethal, but for some reason it isn't nearly as widespread as Ebola has been in Africa. It's good to see that at least someone out there does not seem to be a dimwit, as most of the responses read here, have proven.

    • @Clarkkent163
      @Clarkkent163 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, it's not really the virus that kills, but our cells probably get confused and think that the virus is apart of it, so our cells go all spastic, which then spreads to other cells, like red blood cells, which is very important as that brings oxygen to our brains and our brains are highly important, but because of how complex it is, a slight damage and we're fucked. You see, it's not our bodies that makes us alive, it's our brains that make us alive, and if anything goes wrong with our body, or our brain, our brain will start shutting down... but hey, it's not so bad, whether true or not, I've heard that between 2 and 20 seconds or so, your thinking, memories, planning, self ect completely stops, I think it's like the states between falling asleep but not actual asleep yet? Um, after that, your emotion, feelings ect start to go, physical pain is gone too as your brain starts to become less activated which would make sense seeing that it's dying lol, then, your senses start to go, but I've heard that the hearing even though no where near as good, the hearing is the last to go, maybe because that part of the brain takes longer to shut down, perhaps? Once that happens, it's highly assumed that consciousness ceases to exist, and even though the afterlife might not be the case, it is impossible to know you're dead as you are not conscious of it, but if an afterlife doesn't exist, than where the fuck will we be, consciously speaking? This plays on my mind all the time aha
      Ps: you're only dead once you're brain dead

    Really wish they would not state things in narrow pretenses. You would not be making a drug that specifically and only prevents the binding of vision and NPC1, it would affect binding to NPC1 altogether. Hence why you'd end up with externalities. Medicine is too complex to be depicted as an A+B=C fashion.
