- Today, we are going to check and test out an affordable wired outdoor WiFi camera from EZVIZ... the C3N. It has 3 night vision modes. Full color recording with its 2 spotlights ON at night or traditional Black and White version with its 2 IR LEDs turned ON or the smart night vision mode...where the camera will be on black and white mode until it senses motion and its 2 spotlights will be activated and will start recording in full color.
So, we will do the unboxing, check out its features, set it up and do some testing and see if this wired weatherproof camera from EZVIZ can be a good option for your home.

The Lechange/Imou (Dahua) IPC-C26E is the direct competitor of this camera.
The C26E has ONVIF and a speaker but only WIFI. In my opinion it is the better camera.

One additional point some may want to consider is that Ezviz apparently is a subsidiary of the Chinese surveillance company Hikvision which is partially state-owned and works on government projects.
Surprise for Chinese government they gonna see my lazy ass in garden whole day

If the power plug isn’t weatherproof what are you supposed to do, run it through to the inside of your home? I have outlets on the underside of my porch but are susceptible to weather...

Thank for the video , I just wanted to ask, should infrared red lights be turned on ,i mean are they visible , because in my camera i don't see any red lights, and the night vision in this camera its vary bad,
Mine was able to detect at 40 feet or maybe even more and at night using medium sensitivity at all areas!
Do you know if it works as an IP camera with other recording softwares such as contacam f.e.
No speaker is a real bummer, BUT, it's still a great camera for the price. Right now it's $39.99 at best buy. I'm getting another one!
Is the H265 video compression setting accessible in the app? I saw another on-line reviewer state that the camera does not come with H265 setting as default and only the Windows app has access to the setting?

How does this compare to reolink wifi cameras? Reolink rlc-410w is 2k and has almost the same features if I am not wrong. Please compare more wired wifi cameras if possible. Really appreciate the great reviews.

I need a camera that records audio and video with motion detection and no bright beam lights that come on. Just night vision motion detection, that also works in daytime, but no lights coming on. Recording audio is essential. Will this camera do the job?
I just installed mine and I like it but I don't know how to enable notifications when it detects an object. I can't find the setting in the app. I do have notifications turned on for the app on my phone.
I'm having a problem getting the cameras back on line. I know the directions say push the reset button for 5 or 10 seconds, but it's 40 feet up on an eve over looking the drive. A real problem to push the reset button ?
Do the spotlights have to be on for night time colour ?? Can you turn them off or would that just give you black and white?

we have these cameras but my wife has been trying to connect it to a TV but she has had lots of trouble finding one that is compatable. Do you have any suggestions on a TV that will work so she can down load an app?
I’ve got ezviz cameras inside and outside my house there really good and was thinking of getting the new ezviz doorbell when it comes out to go along with the ezviz cameras.
They have a new doorbell with AI which I think is better than their DB1.

High there, I’d like to ask about ezviz C3N. I use it as a mobile camera in deferent workshops and each time I unplug the camera it loses it time settings! Is there a solution? since such camera should have a built in small batter to keep the time setting.

Hi I have a C3N and wouldn't format my 256GB SD card. 1st I tried a generic one and customer service told me I have to have a branded card so I got a Samsung class 10 256GB but still it won't work. Please help and where can I contact you. Tnx!
Hi Sir, In Event recording settings of this camera how many seconds delay before it record the motion event to the SD Card? Is it delay or advance recording, like Imou Bullet?
It has a 10s buffer before motion detection.
Has Any one cut off and removed the Ethernet port from the main cable coming out of the camera to allow for easier set up if for example drilling through a wall to thread the power cable into?
Once its spot light is on it does mot get off even with status of light is set off. Any tip?

Ok, so your video was spot on in explanation but im running into a issue, every time i try to connect the cam via the app the signal dies then reconnects then dies again, im not sure if its the router or the cam that is at fault...any thoughts on this?
Might be the connection on your phone too.. make sure you have adequate signal.
This camera is pretty nice , but can u please tell how to increase / decrease the video quality.

hi i have bought this camera and set it up with my home wifi connection and the mobile app all was working well untill a few days ago my mobile live feed stopped working when i tried to view my feed on my mobile it just started to proceed to loading and when it got to 99 percent it failed with 260064 failed it was working fine before dont know what has gone wrong i am able to view my mobile live feed when i am connected at home when connected to wifi but when i go out it does not work also i tried just my internet mobile data with my wifi switched of at home does not work either it only works with the wifi connected at home please help
Does it also detect windy motion like moving trees and send fake notifications? I am looking for a camera which only notify If there is someone actually not on every moving object.
A lot of security cameras now including this one has AI person detection. The issue of false notifications from swaying trees are now gone.

I've been trying to pickup 2 of their 1080p indoor cameras, and I want to add in this camera where I have an outdoor outlet for power.
I say trying because a local retailer had the indoor cameras and some microSD cards on sale, and i ordered them a month ago. They originally told me ONLY the sd cards were on back order so woth a lot of back and forth, we agreed to cancel the cards and they'll send me the cameras. Immediately after that was settled, they now said both items are in back order. They already charged my credit card FFS.
Do they require a special type of sd card or any one will do?

I think as long as the write speed is able to keep up so you'll need maybe a class 10 or so. My experience with dashcam has me maintaining a degree of loyalty with Samsung, so far they've struck a good balance between price, performance, and longevity. I've had Lexar and Sandisk both die in less then a year of use.

I actually screwed them in already... but I used the scotch brand heavy duty/outdoor
@@LifeHackster did you used Wi-Fi or cable connection? I found the Wi-Fi signal quite weak, only works ok if the camera sit right beside the router, if 1-2 walls are between the camera did not connect. And I have very good wireless router. Another thing that bother me is if the power is cut off for short time, when restarting needs manual configuration to the router?(maybe I don't know how to use it properly)
