    This man's articulate review was so easy to understand clear and concise. In fact, I wish he would do more in the way of technical reviews I bypassed all the others and went straight to this guy.

    One additional point some may want to consider is that Ezviz apparently
    is a subsidiary of the Chinese surveillance company Hikvision which is
    partially state-owned and works on government projects.

      This is true, but you can always block the camera from internet access and keep things local

    Hi, I set up the camera via WiFi for ease, then plugged in the Ethernet cable afterwards.
    Couldn’t understand why notifications were taking so long. Looking at your video I need to reinstall with the Ethernet connected from the beginning, will try that.
    Thanks for a great and informative video. 👍

      I'm not sure I'm afraid - all I can suggest is factory resetting it and adding again to the app

    Nice review
    Those cameras are out of budget.
    Can you recommend some cheap chinese onVif camera for home assistant .it does not have to be perfect

      @WillSurridgeTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't recommend any cheap Chinese outdoor cameras I'm afraid - I did get one but still haven't been able to set it up because the app wont work! I would strongly recommend the reolink stuff - if you can use PoE then I've got a video out in a couple of weeks about the 520 and 522 (amzn.to/35Rfm3r), but if you're stuck with wifi then I'm sure the 410W is great too

    Hi, I have seen many reviews of C3X and finally bought the camera about a month back, since then I am regretting my decision. The connectivity is major issue, camera is heating up and no one response from customer care. Now I almost invested $800 on these cameras so I have to find a solution, can you please support me to understand following
    If I give Ethernet connection to Camera will it solve the connectivity issue, I believe the answer is yes but then how I
    1. Use the app and see the footage, operate other functions. Will the app still be useful?
    2. I have NVR connected to router, so with LAN wire recording should be better and camera won't go offline again and again (mot of the cameras are going offline every 10/15 minutes, will this issue will be taken care with LAN connection)
    I have many many question, but if you can help me with above that would be really really helpful

      @WillSurridgeTech  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've not experienced them going offline like that - I'd recommend trying an ethernet connection to one of them and see if it fixes your problem - if it does, then try running to the rest!

    Why do you say it doesn't work with PoE? I use this camera as part of a wired CCTV network. The camera captures sound but is not intelligible as such.
    The requirement of a separate 12v 1.5A DC supply makes it imperative that we use a 12v 2-4A PoE injector at the switch-end, or use a PoE+/PoE++ switch. Hikvision does not amplify his issue and sticks to advising using external power supply included with the packaging. The C3N camera needs the extra power (over and above conventional PoE) for powering WiFi and illumination functions.
    Standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af standard) allows a powered device like CCTV cameras to draw up to 12.95W utilizing two out of the available four twisted pairs in Cat 5 / Cat 6 cabling. PoE+ technology (IEEE 802.3at standard) supports higher power consumption where the PoE+ switch delivers power over two pairs up to 25.5W for a PD with a voltage range from 42.5V to 57V with max power of 30W delivered by each port in a range from 50V to 57V.
    PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt standard) can be classified as Type 3 and Type 4. Type 3 enables two or all four twisted pairs in a copper cable to deliver power up to 51W; Type 4 delivers up to 71W over four twisted pairs in an Ethernet cable. PoE++ switch can deliver up to 60W on each PoE port under the Type 3 and up to 100W under the Type 4, provided the Cat 6 cable (copper cores) can take the load without melting or burning out.
    Installers tend to use an external 12v SMPS at the switch-end and inject 12v DC by splicing the Cat5 / Cat 6 cabling downstream to the PoE switch. This is desi 'jugaad' and poor quality installation practice - though it saves money. I would recommend a PoE+ switch, copper Cat 6 cabling and the use of a 12v, 2A splitter at the camera-end to power the camera for wired/wireless function.

    Don't waste you money on the C3N.. it don't pick up human detection in low light or at night.. I can walk around on my drive for 5 mins. At 10 to 25 feet away .. nothing an elephant can walk on my drive & it wouldn't detect it.. camera set on smart night.. tried ..standard..HD..

    Since you are making a commission on selling these there's no way we can trust you to be unbiased. Just another shill pretending to be legit.
