Not-so-smart aleck it is they just need to be a hoor like Kelly and her friends. You just need candy and 5 dollars. My friend said he got a girl to strip for candy so it works lol.
Christina and David grew up with ED basically for many years on that set so he was like a second father figure to them. I have never heard of any issues with ED on the set except with Amanda Bearse they had a rough working relationship.
For me this episode was one of the funniest ones made. I love how several times in the episode Al has to emphasize how his head landed in the trash. lol.
I can see that a common theme in this show was that Al was sick of being poor and unsuccessful and he would think of a plan to make it big. He would get his hopes up. Then it would all come crashing down on him in the end, leaving him demoralized. While the audience got a big laugh. I didn't get it as a kid. Now I get it as an adult.
That's a staple in many sitcoms. We as Americans have always been obsessed with get rich quick schemes; no experience required, minimal investment, easy work and within six weeks you'll be a millionaire.
"the same problem Al just described" was simply taking a bag of trash out to the trash can in the dark; Al's "solution" was totally impractical for such a simple task (flashlight, anyone?)
Why would someone need them? Since when do you look at your feet when you're walking? At least you're not supposed to, I mean you're supposed to be looking straight ahead.
Somehow, I don't think Bundy "shoe lights" ever received a patent! In keeping with the Kelly Bundy character, I think she should've worn those lights on another part of her body...perhaps not in the family living room, though. ;)
The get-up that Kelly was wearing was funny, but it was totally impractical--all that weighty crap strapped to your back (and feet), just to take out a bag of trash at night??!!??
This is child abuse, plain and simple . But when LED technology appeared, shoes with flashing lights appeared too . I even saw dog collars with red lights . Kids love them, flashing red and green lights on your sneakers + it is safe . In dark autumn and winter nights they are very visible for drivers and probably save lives .
technological innovation has to start somewhere, and it's usually in primitive form. like lol at jury rigging kelly with a car battery, dangerous much? yeah let's do that and have her walk around in the dark with a big heavy fire hazard strapped on to her :(
It works even better if you strap a small light to your head instead of your shoes. Lights up a larger area and even aims it directly what you're looking at. Mechanics and technicians have been using them for decades. It's real handy in places like mines and tunnels, too.
A man ahead of his time. Now we have LED shoe lights (like the Night Runner 270); technology just needed to catch up to Al's brain.
They also made God's Shoes
And lets not forget his shoe hotline.
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
@@scottgould6590Shoe Hotline is his specialty!
Of course Al would come up with an invention focused on shoes. Genius writing!
-I'll just turn Kelly on.
-Won't you be needing some candy and five dollars?
LOL
I love Bud's quick responses.
If only it were that easy to "turn on" a woman...other than Kelly, I mean. ;)
I predicted that Bud would say something after Al says that. Then there is "lets hook her up.
Yeah me too
Not-so-smart aleck it is they just need to be a hoor like Kelly and her friends. You just need candy and 5 dollars. My friend said he got a girl to strip for candy so it works lol.
“Normally, I just hang out there with my hopes and dreams.”
🤣
I used to think this show was a comedy, now 25 years later I realize...its a documentary.
More like 35 years later!
I love how Al has his hand on Kelly's head 0:42-0:51. Ed seemed to have real fatherly feeling towards Christina.
Christina and David grew up with ED basically for many years on that set so he was like a second father figure to them. I have never heard of any issues with ED on the set except with Amanda Bearse they had a rough working relationship.
Al: now Im just going to turn Kelly on.
Bud: wont you be needing some candy and five dollars? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
30 years later we have shoes with lights in them LOL
They had em at that time.
Al Bundy the prophet lol.
*Fail. They've existed since the 80s.*
They came out in the late 80s/early 90s, you fcn idiot....
@@deadschooled So someone is an idiot for not knowing that? I think knowing about shoes w/ lights is more suspect. )
By far the best tv series
So gaddamn funny
Let's rock
This and in living color
I work at night. I need them!!
Love this show, needs to be back again
@Zoozooshi Crazy That's the reason why we need the Bundy's back.
the light trails as she walks are hypnotic
Al Bundy, y'all. The man that invented the shoes with lights on them. The credit belongs to him.
GENIUS; Al was ahead of his time
Light up sneakers lol
For me this episode was one of the funniest ones made. I love how several times in the episode Al has to emphasize how his head landed in the trash. lol.
“Im gonna be somebody after all” Man he has no clue how right he really would be back then....
this before the portable LED headlights went on sale.
"Wait a second its dark out! Kelly, show them the way."
I like how he's got Kelly just waiting under there.
I remember this from when I was a LITTLE kid...seeing it on television when my parents were watching it on TV
X
"Let me just hook her up here!"
"She's working in the dark!"
They sure went with puns here. ;D
"Let's turn Kelly on"
Thats walking.
"Oh God. This is really it! This is all he's gonna be! This is all he's gonna have!"
"And I'm gonna have it with him!!"
LMFAO this is the Night Runner 270 Shoe Lights as mentioned by others, hilarious!!!
Its funny that it started 🤣 😂 with an 80s sitcom to make shoes that light up i have some neon green ones that stay lit when im at work
I remember back then they had those neon sneakers that would glow in the dark, not sure if they still make those.
I'd buy a pair if it came with Kelly!
Hell ya! My to bro
This was the first episode of MWC I ever saw. From then on I was hooked.
Genius Al , pure Genius 🤣🤣🤣
A dad turning his daughter on, these kinds of videos have become increasingly popular.
It aired originally in a previous decade. These kinds of videos have always been popular!
Hell yeah 😎 I bought my son a pair 😂.
my god heres another one of als ideas. This is real. They use this for deep sea diving, damn once again al is ahead of his time. xD
That laugh at the end 😂 i love Al
Lol, altough Peg never cooks and they almost never eat anything, Al still has to go throw the garbage 😁
We see a hot wife Al just sees a wife.
Homage to "The Honeymooners."
Also notice how his invention idea centers on shoes.
That's a staple in many sitcoms. We as Americans have always been obsessed with get rich quick schemes; no experience required, minimal investment, easy work and within six weeks you'll be a millionaire.
"Shoe Lights! Get your shoe lights! Big fire sale! Oh, GOD!"
call 555 SHOE. can i help? SHOE betcha
First time I heard that I laughed so much.
@@brandonallen3289 So did I! 🤣
no internet, no cell phone - life at its prime
@Angry American Funny how I knew a comment like this would pop up, fuck knuckle!
'life at its prime' You think life is at its 'prime'...... staring at a teevee set?
When I saw this episode the first time I almost soiled myself and couldn't stop laughing.
“Help me!” Lol
I just recently saw a commercial for this Exact product.
Lights on your shoes with the same problem Al just described.
"the same problem Al just described" was simply taking a bag of trash out to the trash can in the dark; Al's "solution" was totally impractical for such a simple task (flashlight, anyone?)
that laugh at the end
"Candy and $5"
Wow,times have changed. Now it's a BMW convertible and $500 a week allowance
These were actually made
Kelly and peggy already had a fine set of head lights on them...
Same with Marcy. I do not know why AL keeps saying she has no breasts.
She was in the original version of the movie Fright Night she definitely does have breasts.
Just a running gag they wanted to use i guess .
You got that right bro!
@@thepayne7862 Ya! And it was Fright night that made her in to a lesbian.
@@JamesParker1998 Czze bro there small that's why!
Hilarious episode 🤣 😂
and in 2020s we have light shoes .... Poor al
6 people were forced to walk in shoe ligihts
And one of those people were you
Make that 31 😏😉
Here because I saw an over the top infomercial-style ad for an outdoor light and was secretly hoping this was the product...
2:30 But Al was very much somebody already in his High School time... he was a Star back then...
Oh Steve please don't go on about your insane quest to invent the 99 cent coin 🤣🤣
This would be a good idea for impractical jokers.
Actually idea landed on Shark Tank
You know what's funny...Somebody pitched shoe lights on Shark Tank and got a deal. But they were not as cumbersome as this
Why would someone need them? Since when do you look at your feet when you're walking? At least you're not supposed to, I mean you're supposed to be looking straight ahead.
This is good quality for 14 years ago!
Al bundy invented shoe lights
Don't laugh. The sharks we're fighting for this on Shark Tank, and they got the deal! 😂
Can anyone direct me to where i can buy these bundy shoes?
It was actually a good idea
They need a shoe that walks for you --- genius !!!
Did kids start wearing those light up shoes after this episode? Maybe Bundy was a genius after all.
the dialogues were so realistic
Legendary
were can i buy them? any info? just asking for a friend
They do have shoe lights for kids
Somehow, I don't think Bundy "shoe lights" ever received a patent! In keeping with the Kelly Bundy character, I think she should've worn those lights on another part of her body...perhaps not in the family living room, though. ;)
This got stolen for a Shark Tank product lol
I was about to say the samething. Al came up with the concept first supposedly. Funny how you can catch ideas just by watching old sitcoms like this.
Travis Wittmann Weak!
Shoe lights have been a novelty for years, wayyy before shark tank
The get-up that Kelly was wearing was funny, but it was totally impractical--all that weighty crap strapped to your back (and feet), just to take out a bag of trash at night??!!??
@@BlueRazor69 whoosh
1:37 great comment bud .
Hilarious 😅
That's a great idea actually
Solar power flash light
Perfect for Shark Tank.
That is weird! Because the sneakers that light up were not out yet. Lol so it was futuristic. Lol
Yeah this was an episode with Steve Rhoades in it, so I'm guessing it aired in the late 80's.
Back in the 90's my Dad got me a pair when i was a kid.
for all of out there that can remember, the honeymooners ralph chef of the future this reminds me of that
With some adjustments, that does seem like a pretty viable idea.
Just think about it. We actually have shoes that lights near bottom of your feet.
The most obtuse family in the history of television! LOL
I don't know, Kelly was pretty acute.
Does the girl come with the shoes?
did she say "kill me", or "help me"
Watch again snapperhead
They give it back and we switch keys
I took a header in the garbage. LOL.😅😅😅😅
Kelly Bundy
Hell ya bro!
That's pretty bad lightening considering how big the lights are.
Episode- The Dateless Amigo
I want those shoes.
Hiliarous classic😂🤣
Hail al bundy
This is the most idiotic and hilarious thing I've ever seen in my life! 😂🤣😂🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😂🤣😂
this was actually on shark tank

This was the Seinfeld before there was a Seinfeld,
Classic phosphor tracer from the studio cameras. Won't find that with silicon.

what episode is this?
Dateless Amigo
Spelunkers wear these.
Poor Kely 😁
As she got older she got hotter
All this needs is the right slogan to sell
These days that might work, with LED bulbs and better battery technology.
