- While the Platinum Jubilee was meant to celebrate the surprisingly long reign of Queen Elizabeth II, almost all eyes were instead on Prince Louis as he was seen fidgeting and covering his ears during the flyover in the Trooping The Color military parade. The young prince might have been acting like most kids his age would have, but members of the British royal family are ostensibly held to a higher standard than regular people. There was a moment when Louis turns around to talk to his mom. She lovingly caressed his head and cheek in the sweetest way. It was clear that was a gesture she did often. I think she’s great and those children are stinkin’cute!

I got soooo stressed trying to keep my daughter from acting up at just the grocery store, but here is Kate next to the Queen and on view in front of millions and she is so calm and composed. She is amazing!!!

Watching Catherine's interactions with Louis during the flyby's & you will remember Princess Diana did the exact same thing with both William & Harry when they were younger & didn't like the noise of the planes.
Harry was always a maniac. Diana couldn't control him. He was a little monster. She was forever snatching his hands out of his mouth or nose, and attempting to settle him down.🧗🤸🤾

I enjoyed the precision and colour of the marching soldiers. Also, the beautiful black horses! I think the marching bands were magnicent too! All around, the whole jubilee was well orchestrated and the obvious jubilation and love of the Queen was felt. She deserved it for her loyalty and steadfast dedication to her subjects for all these years! Bless her! A shining example.

@@lindamarsh3335 they are different ages, he's only four and did extremely well. The planes going overhead are really noisy and he might have felt it was painful. Other young children on the balcony have had to put their hands over their ears in the past.

He's just a little boy. He isn't used to the sound of low-flying planes and the sounds from a massive crowd. His reaction was expected and entirely natural. If anything, Kate and William would want people to see that their children aren't special, they're just normal children who happen to be Royal. If this monarchy continues after EIIR, at least we know that they're just people, like us, trying their best to do their duty to Country and Commonwealth.

Prince Louis reminds me a lot of Prince William at that age. I remember William running out into the street one time and the Queen had to run after him and grab his hand. All little ones are funny and full of energy at that age. I think Louis is adorable.

It's been lovely to see so much of the Cambridge children during the Jubilee celebrations. They are growing up so quickly. The Cambridges really are a lovely family.
I am with Louis. His siblings started earlier to be shown in public; but due to the pandemic situation, Louis has to wait and due to that he has less experience.
Anyway Prince Charles looks with adoration at Louis; there is a complicity between them. Look at Charles at his mother’s coronation, how bored he was.

Children are angels and he is absolutely a lovely child. His responses are epic. Adorable yes just adorable. At that age what can we say, enjoy the moment.💝💝💝💝

It appeared to me Louie was trying to move closer to the Queen & Charles. It makes me believe that he is close & secure with his grandparents. I didn’t see anything that any one of the children did that was wrong or bad for their age. They all seem very normal.
No LOL. It was his FIRST balcony appearance and the jets WERE loud. He behaved like a 4 year old would . It was Charlotte who couldn't seem to just let it go . . . . LOL
First time in balcony? His dad even when he was young, put his fingers in his ears because of loud noise from jets/planes
I think we now know what Louie stays home a lot. His behavior is very much in line for a 4 yr old. But older Siblings on the hand aren't always amused.

It’s entirely possible that Charlotte like Louis was bothered by the noise of the parade,aircraft , crowd ,whatever and was reacting in a controlled polite way and had nothing to do with Louis’ antics, it’s perfectly possible. Stop analysing and deconstructing and overreacting to every movement or gesture of theirs. They’re perfectly normal kids with different personalities ,we are mothers too, you know, with perfectly nice well brought up kids. Children will be children, and theres the end to it.
