Hi Ann! I tried so many times to find a longer shacket that I loved, because I have wanted one for years and just never found the perfect one! This one is so cute, but definitely not a heavier weight one. Being able to wear a sweater underneath, will definitely lengthen the time I can wear it. Some great purchases. Love the short shacket and although I love the burgundy, I agree you will get more use out of the ivory plaid. I would definitely size down on the plaid flannel and for sure get the burgundy. I have thrifted three blue jean looking oversized shirts and love wearing them. The xxl over size block sweatshirt looks so cozy for a stay home fall/winter day. I know I owe you an email and will be sure to get that done today! Have a relaxing Sunday my sweet friend. 😊

You can wash anything in cold water on delicate and hang up. I even wash cashmere and anything else.❤
