This looks so much fun. I haven't done a race before but I just got my first gravel bike back in April. Thinking about driving up for this one next summer.
Don't think of them as races, but experiences...
Ah, this made me homesick. We moved east a year ago, but this reminded me of all the fun we had in and around Big Bear. 💕
Kinda the Disneyland of biking.
What a great time. Sick a- course too! I’m doing this event next year. Incredible how many awesome gravel events there are California. I wouldn’t have known about them had it not been for you. Your channel is gem 💎 Keep up the great work!
The heat this year was ruff but good times as always.. 🚴🏼♂️💨
It was definitely making itself known as the day rolled through.
I get to go to CA two times a year (summer & winter) and I steal one of your routes to ride every summer. I'm going to steal one to ride this December.
Just not this one. Likely covered by snow.
I was there that day too. And I was trying to look for you so I can come and say hi but I guess I must have missed you.
Too bad. I hung out a little bit after, but had to drive back home to make it before dinner.
Such a fun weekend all over the mountain 🎉
And you ended the video!!
Always good to chat with you! I love this event and it's been fun having a family weekend the last couple years. Maybe next year I'll stay on course and avoid the extra credit...
Yeah...what happened there??
Staying on alert drivers from the UK😂
Not the type of chicken I would win at.
Mt Tam in the description AND a Big Bear video? Yes to both please!
Nice catch.
This was my first organized ride and it was such a great course. The single track was easily my favorite part of the ride. It was sad to learn that the Forest Service closed off some dirt roads that were normally part of the course. Hopefully next year they will include those and there will be more dirt!
I guess they change the course every year, so I'm sure it'll make it at some point.
Sorry I missed it, thanks for the guide!
A lot of Gravelstoke representation though!!
Great vid as always. Greeting from gravel-ly England
My knowledge of gravel is to what Ted Lasso is to football..
You skipped the aid station with s'mores and bacon 😔 Haha! Thanks for this video-it was fun to relive the ride.
...but then I never would have finished the ride!
😆😆
Moment of silence for those of us that sliced tires on that chunky descent
That was definitely where you needed a genie lamp.
