I never knew that there was an Aussie X. Being a fan of the eighties X. How can I not check out the Australian punk X. Could it be that they both came about in 1977? You definitely sold me on Dirty Three's "Love Changes Everything"> May I say that the artwork is superb? I just checked out some of their live show from Sydney. I did not know what to make of it at first. But I admit to their music being super free, original and definitely out there. Great audience participation. Ben. Your updates are really appreciated. Thanks for keeping me up with the bands that I missed out on and the current artists who I have yet to hear/enjoy~

@@Paneeks1960 G’day Rob, Aussie X started independently around the same time. I love both but our X is probably a lot rawer. If you ever get the chance to see D3 live just do it. They are one of the most amazing live experiences you’ll have. It’s so different from anyone else, but evoke beauty, passion, terror, awe & bliss sometimes within the say song in concert. Glad you’re still enjoying the vid’s after all this time being a loyal viewer. Cheers mate 👍….Ben

Really interested in that Bored! album - been on my want list since i saw it on you channel previously. But that Radio Birdman live album is a complete shock. I'll be seeking that out immediately. Thank you, Ben. I also need to look into the Australian X. I've heard of them but i need to explore. Cheers! Shawn.

@@the-vinyl-dreamscape5084 Bored! have that big guitar frenzy Detroit influence. They also had Tim Hemensley from God & Powder Monkeys on vox on a few of their records. Birdman is the whole gig of the concert which was scaled down to an EP or single disc from memory in the Box that came out in the 80’s. Aus X are much more raw than the yanks. I’d recommend the first two X-Aspirations & At Home With You 👍

The ‘Hard Ons’ has got to be THE greatest band name ever Bish. But ‘Drunk Mum’s’ hell yea, another corker! The new Orb album looks beautiful, and sounds as if it needs to go into the Doyen’s collection. Dirty Three, shit album name but beautiful artwork and live the music. Staggeringly Hot LAVA pick ups Bish! D🎸

@@pc31thevinylpoliceman It’s a band name that is ‘hard’ to ignore 😂 Drunk Mums sound like what you’d think…obnoxiously great! I think you’d like early Orb too. They have a very heavy Sabs influence. Almost to the point where some of those riffs sound quite familiar, but I love it. Re the D3 album name I think maybe Wazza’s been hanging with Nick a bit too much. Lots of man love between those two. Doyen the LAVA was dangerously hot these last few months. Cheers Bish 🥁

Nice to see that Church record reissued. I haven't heard it. I didn't know that there was an Australian X. That's how North-American-centric I am. I am not sure I like the cover design of the Dirty Three. This is a giant stack of records! Well done 🙂

@@EmbryonicRobot Starfish is rightly regarded as a classic HP but the records before it are top shelf Church. Aus X started around the same time as LA X. The D3 cover has split opinion right down the middle. I actually like Mick Turners art, but as the old saying goes “I don’t know much about art, but I know what I hate”. Weird Mike, when you were showing the Satanic album suddenly some of the knickers knacks went up in the air, just began to float a little until you put the album away. Not sure if anyone else saw that. Good to know that if I want to catch up with what is happening down under this album will fill me in. Still listening to Orb and digging it.
