Picked up a 2024 Santa Fe XRT last weekend, first 24 Santa Fe in my area. Love it. Moved up from a Forte GT, extremely satisfied with my purchase. One of the quietest vehicles I have been in. Tons of value for the money.
Awesome! That's the trim I'm interested in. What color is your new Santa Fe?
I got the pearl white. The blacked out ascents really make it pop. @jraheemjefcoat429

Hey dude, I found out your channel today and I'm loving it. I'm looking forward for the next one. Thanks a lot!!!👍
Where have you been bro? Come on man this is top tier reviews
Very nice and detailed video Joe. I’m happy with my 2023 Honda Hrv sport but I really do enjoy watching your detailed videos on all of the different vehicles. I find your videos to be very entertaining and enjoyable.
Why is the rear view mirror for EVERY vehicle I sit in (except the Ford Mustang) directly in my line of sight and obstructing my view? I'm 6' 3" and nobody but a few people in some online forums bring it up. How is it not standard to be able to adjust the mirror higher so it doesn't block tall drivers' view of the road? It's really annoying. Seems like manufactures don't know that people over six feet tall exist.
Agreed, I drive a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and when driving up I have to navigate my head away from the mirrors line of sight lol. I think it's because I like to sit more straight up.
I’m 6’4” tall and have the same problem in every car, truck, suv that I drive.
My husband has the same issue. He's 6'4 and struggles with that in every vehicle we've had.
there you go , the man spoke , the ball is in Hyundai's court now..... #tobecontinued
The seats are adjustable. Maybe lower your seat.
They did an excellent job on reinvented the Hyundai Santa Fe
I am so glad that you approve Wardell!
@@RaitisRides yes sir
Purchased the new Limited last weekend. I have been stalking the redeisgn ever since it was announced. It lives up to the hype. I feel better about my purchase knowing you approve!
saw this at the LA Auto Show, I swear it has the same amount of interior space as the palisade. Might be why the base model went up $5K from the previous year. Its got SO MUCH SPACE in the trunk!
I was considering the Grand Hylander until I saw your reviews of the 2024 Santa Fe. I'll be getting a Santa Fe soon! Thank you so much for your detailed reviews. Love your channel. Please keep up the great work. Much appreciated.
I like how Joe reviews every trim level of cars. This new Santa Fe will sell very well. I’ll buy one if I can afford it
That is so awesome of you to say. I will have the other trims coming soon.
I understand the 8 speed dual clutch TRANSMISSION is a MAJOR PROBLEM area.
Online, I see that some of those transmissions have needed replacement within 30 miles.
Moral of the story is, Do not buy a hyundai.
Both Turbo engine and DCT are time bombs
Was really on the fence if I wanted the Santa Fe as a vehicle for my family but this video helped green light the decision with me and my wife thanks raiti 👍.
The model 3 was just not cutting it when it comes to space 😅.
Awesome videos. Keep them coming
Killer review! Absolutely loving the style of the redesign.
Thank you Adam! That really means the world!
Bought the Limmited! Love it
That’s so great! Congrats
Does the limited have cooled/vented seats? How much did you pay?
I've been waiting for you to cover this vehicle. I love it
This new Santa Fe is going to be a huge success for Hyundai I think because it stands out from the rest of the herd. Very cool. and by the way what you said @ 18:06 was very important.
Thanks for taking the time to say that.
The rear end definitely stands out
@ytj22 .. Hyundai sure don't make boring cars even if a bit controversial
@@rudfil they don't make boring cars compared to which automakers? Making something ugly just to be able to say it isn't boring is a risky formula, unless you are a niche brand.
Looks like a Ford flex and Land Rover.
Hyundai /Kia are killing it with their designs. This Santa Fe looks very unique.
But the resale value and engine reliability are the worst in the industry is all over TH-cam with engine failures and if that's not enough denied warranty work.
You better believe it Omar!

Great video from the beginning to the end. You are amazing! This SUV looks amazing. Tail lights should be licated a little higher.
Yes of course Joe and I really like the design.
That is so great to hear!
I think the taillights look great and are placed fine. It stands out, and is different. Glad it doesn't look like every other manufacturer.
That is one way to look at it!
@RaitisRides you use AI generated comments??
They did get rid of the 3 row Sante Fe for a couple of years. I have the 2017 and at the time they also offered a Sante Fe "Sport", that was the 2 row Sante Fe. I also thought they killed the 3 row because of the Palisades. I am now trying to decide between the Highlander and the Sante Fe. I have printed out comparison trim levels for each. Thanks for the video. I will help support my decision for either or.
Enjoy your reviews! Entertaining and informative! 😂
don't get rear ended else you'll be replacing a bumper AND tail lights
Pretty much
Don't forget the tail gate also.
At least it will look nicer until it’s fixed

The review I’ve been waiting for! I’ve been in between a Highlander and this one. I think this has pushed me to the Santa Fe. Thanks!
Bought a highlander last March. Not loving it. I’d waited for years to buy a Toyota and I’m very underwhelmed.
Have to say I’ve not been wowed by the exterior or interior designs of Toyota’s. It seems the only thing going for them is their reliability, if that is still true.

This is definitely on my list for a new vehicle this summer. I guess I’m in the minority in that I don’t think the rear end looks bad
Sounds good to me. Beauty is always In the eye of the beholder
I'm with you, brother! The rear end doesn't bother me at all. I get what Hyundai is giving with the rear end. To give it maximum rear volume capacity trunk space.
@@RaitisRides i'm in korea. it grew on me.
I have hyundai palisade for 5 years now.i picked it over other hyundais because;
1. 100% made/built/assembled in seoul korea
2. Trans+engine are also made in korea
Now this other models are;
1. Made/built/assembled in USA montgomery alabama (expect lemons on some)
2. Trans+engine are made in china 50%, usa 40% and only 10% from korea. Check the window sticker for a proof.
Especially this one is 4cyl turbocharged (expect highly maintenance and expensive maintenance/short lifespan due to more parts needs to maintain properly working)
Looks like a good vehicle in 4K resolution. Good Job Joe everytime.
ST PETE FLORIDA, no wonder why I like your car reviews better than all the other ones!
Hyundai did such a great job on the redesign. Definitely on my new car contender list.
I’m so glad that you dig this one
How hard is it to remove the rear seats completely? (I wish they sold them with that as an option..)
Great vid! How much better is HDA2 vs HDA1? Is it worth upgrading to HDA2-- does it keep the car centered in its lane even on freeway curves? Thanks!
It is buch better! Really does a better job!
I have HDA2 on a Palisade. It takes highway corners really well, even descending down mountains in Colorado.
@RaitisRides wow that's great news Joe! Thanks! Will have to take an HDA2 equipped Santa FE for a test drive--- Definitely a big fan of HDA1, but on some freeway curves--- still have to help it by steering-- would rather the system do the whole curve confidently! Thanks!
@WordsMatter1982 wow that's great news! Currently have HDA1 and on some freeway curves I have to help it by steering some thru the curves. It sounds like the newer HDA2 holds the car thru the curves more confidently! Thanks!
The tail lights being so low make for an odd looking rear end. Very cool vehicle
I can wait to bring the other trims
Agreed. It has a nice design... until you get to the back. Ewww.. lol
I’m not a big fan of this car, but I have to admit the taillights look good.
Reminds me of the early 90's Geo Metro tail light.
@@adamdowgiallo6221totally agreed with you
Is the leather steering wheel is heated,??
How does the rear camera compare to previous generations if the santa fe
Too small to compete with the Highlander, but if you need something bigger than a Rav4/Tucson, with a lot of style, this is the ride. I bought a new Tucson Hybrid last year, and it was great. I love the new styling directions Hyundai/Kia/Genesis are going. Very exciting appealing entries, that offer more than price/value. These are vehicles you want! Definitely more stylish than. a Highlander
Amazing review Joe.
Thanks brother!
4:05 what’s that plug just sitting there exposed like that?
Where are the AC controls for the 2nd row?
Good eyes! I will find out!
Do any of the trim models offer captains chairs for middle row?
The Calligraphy has captains chairs in 2nd row.
Great review buddy! I think when you test drive one with AWD it put the power down better.
You are spot on the money with that!
Super exciting how the flaps open up for the grill. That will certainly work swell in any area that has snow and ice, when they are stuck for 6 months a year.
They really like that 2.5i4. It’s in the Sonata NA and Turbo. It’s in the new K5 NA and Turbo. It’s in the Santa Fe. They also like that back up camera. Found in every single Kia Rio.
The last Santa Fe I had was the 2017 Santa Fe XL. Loved it. I can’t get behind the looks of this. Especially the rear end.
Maybe when you see it in person you will like it more.
Very Rovery! (and more reliable) I like it!... square looks tougher than all the previous curves.
Test drove the limited yesterday. Awesome vehicle. Hyundai did a great job. Waiting on the hybrid
I really like the new Santa Fe, it's a great value and has tons of features. Not sure about future reliability and build quality, but it's a good start for now.
Knowing Hyundai past…..I’m thinking it’s a disposable vehicle
Yeah I imagine the reliability is not as good as Toyota or Honda
I have owned Hyundais for 20 years and have had minimal issues. Owned Fords previously and was sick and tired of short warranties and paying thousands out of pocket. Yes, there have been recalls like any manufacturer out there but Hyundai/Kia/Genesis has been offering extra features for what you pay for the last 10 years.
If you know anything at all about Hyundai you know reliability isn’t what they do

Joe, just curious- what do you drive?
Already some buyers are having issues with the transmission with less than 200 miles on the clock
Agree, glad the box is back! Loving the new styled Santa Fe and the “H” in the designs having a last name that starts with it. Seriously considering this in the Calligraphy trim, possibly hybrid for road tripping and look forward to seeing a review of that. We’re hoping the Hyundai engine/transmission’s have improved as we had a bad one in the 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited 1.6 Turbo DCT. Didn’t think we’d ever consider another Hyundai but loving this one so please Hyundai! Great review as always! 👍🏼
I appreciate you letting me share this one with you!

Wow Joe I can't believe how similar that exhaust sound was to your Shelby. Ok maybe not so much but the Santa Fe looks competitive in its class.
You are freaking hilarious Alan! Thanks for letting me share it with you and making you laugh!
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video real true 👍
We appreciate your kind words always my friend.
Great review looks like the H design team made few nods to a Land Rover Defender especially around the side windows.
Will you review the XRT please?
Traded in my 2023 Santa Fe for the 2024 Santa Fe SEL. Great vehicle.
Picked up a SEL for my wife yesterday and she’s very excited!! Funny you mention the Defender. One of the biggest reasons she chose this was because it looks like a Range Rover (her favorite vehicle but way out of our price range), so this was a good alternative. I drove it and it’s actually really fun!! Much more enjoyable than my ‘22 F-150 lmao
An F-150 with either Ecoboost or 5.0 would be fun based on how much power they make. Wouldn't expect a truck to handle good or be fun to drive compared to a CUV.
Yeah, I’ve got the poor man’s motor (3.3L V6) and it’s a slogggg to drive
@@kylespence2592 I had a feeling it was the 3.3. You can always swap it out for a 7.3 Godzilla from the Super Duty.
Wasn't the Santa Fe at one point came with two rows and three rows versions. The later it came with only 2 rows and now they are back with three rows. I'm so confused.
Writing from Vancouver, Canada. My previous Santa Fe 2015 had catalytic converter stolen multiple times. Could you please tell the location of catalytic converter in 2024 model. If it is at a easy to steal location again, then this is not the right model for me. I like this model though and eager to try one, but catalytic converter location is a deal breaker for me.
Vancouver is not the same any more. Seems like it's not really Canada

I love the Santa fe. I want to buy one. ❤the technology and quality Hyundai have is amazing.
I really like the look of the vehicle and would consider it when I retire the Flex. A little voice in my head is whispering though... "but what about reliability and resale value?" Gotta think about it. Thanks for the review.
Resale is horrible. I lost 15000 in less than two years on trade of my Santa Fe 2022 hybrid. Going with Highlander hybrid.
Would be interested to know why they went for the stainless steel tip coming out the rear instead of tucking it under the bumper cover.
I guess style points
They really did an amazing job turning it into a box AND improving the aerodynamics. Overall, I am digging it, but there are a couple things I like better about my 2021. I wish they had made the third row an option. Mine goes in for an oil change on Monday, so I might see if the dealer has a '24 on the lot.
I think you are going to like it even more Charles when you see it in person.
Yeah, I like this and the refreshed Sorento. However, I definitely don't need 3 rows. I know you can just permanently leave them down, but it still makes for a vehicle a bit too big for me. It's a shame the next size down are the Tuscon and Sportage. Those are too small and under powered for me.
@jeffs6090 My sticking point with the third row is that it eats up the under floor storage area, which may sound silly for a lot of people, but it's a HUGE deal for me. I love that I can fit my emergency tools, blankets, dog beds, towels, and other things under the floor and not have anything rolling or sliding around in the back or having to have a box or something back there to hold things. I am really having a hard time with the idea of giving that up. Also, my 2021 is paid for and only has 12,000 miles. The 2024 is really tempting in the green, though, but I haven't looked to see if they are offering that color in the U.S. If not, I will have an easier time saying no...lol!
I saw few on the road and looked great in black it looked a little like Land Rover defender
I like the fact that the Santa Fe has two seats in the third row rather cramming three narrow seats in the regular Highlander, in fact, Toyota should have a two row Highlander as an option
That is an excellent point Colton.
Keep the third row folded down?? Then only use it for the few times you need it? Or buy a Grand Highlander or better yet a minivan
@@ytj22minivans are what people should get as it does everything but the main problem is for some reason most people get embarrassed driving minivans which I find silly.
