1:26 Ah, well, Myazaki was actually a supervisor on DS2, though not a director. From the PCgamer article "Vindication for Dark Souls 2 defenders as Hidetaka Miyazaki says many of its ideas 'carried the rest of the series'": "He even calls his supervisory role on Dark Souls 2 'one little area of regret,' noting that he prefers 'a lot of projects where I am director, so I think a supervisor role for me is just something I'm not used to and just is maybe not quite a good fit.' " Now that can certainly be read several ways, one of which is that he regrets not directing it himself, but from the rest of the article and his intent to give other directors more of a free _Reign_ As for Neigh Rein, I want it. I would love it as a DLC mode for Elden Ring, and as a "standalone expansion" I still crave it. Selling it as a standalone at a reduced price makes sense from a practical standpoint.
This game doesn't need lore, it doesn't need to be canon. I see this game as a boss rush that'll be fun to mess around on with the boys. I also see it as a way for them to test out "seamless co-op" while Miyazaki is cooking his next masterpiece. They've also said its gonna be dlc priced, I'd pay 40$ to smash some bosses with the squad.
I've never played a bad Fromsoftware game and that's including DS2 (I actually like it a lot) Nightreign is going to be good; people can have their concerns but they're exagerating
I 100% agree, why are we acting like fromsoft has actually put out a bad game? They only make fantastic bangers. Nightreign is gonna be no different on that aspect.

I completely agree, it doesn’t need to be cannon, we’re all having a fit for no reason, this is gonna be a banger.

It'll be decent but I'm just butthurt we're getting this before a Bloodborne Remaster. ☠️

Yeah I messed up the editing in that section, thank you.
I’m sorry but DS2 can hang
Hard disagree but I agree to disagree.
@ fair but I would strongly recommend replaying with another build. Game gets really fun with NG+ too
