If there are no sales on starter packages when you buy the game there is no reason to get anything other than an Aurora or Mustang because you can always them in the future without loosing any value if you decide you want more. If you do want to wait for a sale/special your best bet might be waiting to make an account until there is a referral bonus and you can get a free LTI token with your purchase. These typically aren't matched with the best starter package sales but likely still offer the best value because of that free ship. A correction to video would be that any ship you can buy on the website will EVENTUALLY be purchasable in game though you may need to jump through some hoops in the future and obtaining the same insurance may be rare/hard to get.
I love this game... When it works. When it works it's my most liked game pretty much ever, when it doesn't I'm on the verge of deleting it and never looking at it again. 10/10 Space Sim, 3/10 Playability
There is a game called Escape from Tarkov. In development game, currently being developed and expanded, in Beta since 2016. All the main features, and playablity/economy is there. Very much a game and playable. Sadly Star Citizen advertises itself as a playable game? Wheere so much of the basics are missing.... there is no game. I hoped by 2025. It would resemble a game, much like Tarkov is, with progression, player economy, marketplace, all the basics done and working. But sadly.... the game does not exist. Only Ship Sales. I think CIG may be cooked in 3 years.
I've spent $520. The only concern for me is that the game is going to get stale when I have a Titan + Ghost Mk II + Starlancer MAX and more. There's just not much left to work towards. I wont have motivation to do anything. Money I'll make with the Starlancer is going to buy me what? A better dogfighter? There isn't one. A better money-making ship? I'll already have money that I don't really need. And if I really wanted something like an Andromeda, I could always melt the Starlancer at some point. You're better off starting with the $30 ships and working for anything else in-game, going through rentals for the money earners initially, etc. If not, you're actually undermining your own enjoyment of the game.
spend nothing, 4.0 barely works frame locking, broken elevators, storage, no map markers, no beacons. you name it and its broken.
