Liron, I repeatedly find your suggestions encouraging and spot on to what would be beneficial to try. Thank you for passing on to us what you have tried. It makes me feel you’re in this with us which in itself is encouraging. I look forward to more of your posts. 👍
Wow, this is so inspiring. As a beginner I wouldn't even consider attempting a portrait. Now it's which method do I choose - I'll try all 3 😁Happy Easter 🐣
You just freed my soul so much, you have no idea! I had been pressuring myself to match every individual color to give my portraits a photo-realistic effect. I forgot the whole point of painting: have fun with the colors!
The most beneficial video I've watched in a long time from all of the lessons I've learned on TH-cam. Thank you so very much for that. I needed to hear this.
Yes (: Longer livestream and video too. Edited video - th-cam.com/video/BGX2cSQCidM/w-d-xo.html Original LONG livestream (real time narrated) - th-cam.com/video/99W7ab156Kk/w-d-xo.html
You are a very good motivator Mr.Yanconsky. I had a question Sir, do you trace the pencil sketch or draw on water colour paper directly. If it is the former, could show how you do it? and if there's already a video on that, can you attach the link to it here? thank you.
I found most of these on websites like Pixabay and Pexels (: If you search specifically for “high contrast portrait”, or just “portrait” but filter for only black and white - you’ll find many examples 😊 And if it’s just for practice and you don’t plan on selling - you can always search google / Pinterest and you’ll have even more options!
I have a question. How long did it take to paint each portrait? I painted along with you, but there's no way I can paint that fast. . Layers need to dry, but you did not give enough time. You did each one in 3 minutes. I neede to wait for some of the washes to dry, or the paint gets messy. I'm going to try this tomorrow. I'll sit at outside and paint portraits of random people sitting at a café.
This is actually based on a livestream I did, where you can see the entire process in real time, with a lot more talking 😉 Check it out here! th-cam.com/video/99W7ab156Kk/w-d-xo.html I’d say it was about 20-30 minutes per portrait? And some drying breaks etc
@@LironYan I'm looking for a way to paint portraits in 5 minutes. Size of a post card. Color. Alla prima with a person posing in front of me. It has to dry fast so people can take it home. I see street portrait artists making portraits in graphite and charcoal or maybe pastels but not watercolor. I can follow along your videos and make a portrait in 30 minutse but not faster. Any suggestions for speeding up the watercolor?

Liron is the artist you all should follow, instantly improved my Art !
Thank you ☺️
My pleasure @@LironYan 😇!
Your videos make me feel excited about watercolor again. I struggle a lot with fear and anxiety when I paint.
Good morning, I'm glad to see you. Always praying for you. Going to try this one.
I have to say I totally agree with the second style. I’m a beginner and I can personally agree with you.
Do more of these. This has to be the best thing I’ve seen in along time. No joke you nailed it!

It’s easier than most people think, go for it! 😁😁 And thank you 🙏🏼
I liked the last method. This is something I’m trying to do myself. And also, coincidentally, I prefer pen over pencil.
I’ll admit, it’s my favorite too 🤭😂
Letting loose and going for it!
Wow, I loved seeing these three techniques!

excellent informative video. Thanks Liron.
There is as much to learn from what you speak as from what you paint.. i just love your content and how u explain things 😍
Thank you. I definitely struggle with being bold.
Wow, Liron, these are fantastic! Thank you

Thanks Liron. Also the colorful shadows on the first part kind of reminds me of Zhaoming Wu approach with colors.
Thank you ☺️ Huge compliment!

I need help with this sooooo bad!!! I love doing portraits but I feel I gotta get all details perfect or the layering I just get thrown off by
I think the "big mess" turned out as best 🙂
Liron, how do you find pictures with such high contrast? I'd love to try these techniques, but I'm not sure if my pictures would work for this.

@@LironYan Okay, that makes sense. Any faster, and it turns into a mess for me.
