Rip reminds me of my cowboy father growing up in the Rockies. How many times I also had to drive his drunken ass back from the bar after fights. This was in the 90’s and we truly lived that life. He was an asshole but he was a true cowboy. I was building fences with him at ranches at the age of 12. Before that I was chopping wood every morning to put in the wood stove. Crazy how I came up and now I live in Atlanta after the army. Point being don’t mess with men like Rip in real life.

I just want a show where a main character gets cut off early because they aren't protected by bullshit plot armor. They act like an ass, get into fights and always end up avoiding being shot. Then one episode it just happens and they get blown away and that's it.

Love the way Rip just tips the "boy" back over the fence. It reminds me of that movie in TOMBSTONE when Kurt Russell just pulled out that guy's gun and bopped him over the head with it - an unexpected move that was very effective.
