A piece of info that couldn't fit in the video is the MClassic may be worth it if you've got older consoles as it works on those too! Like Wii, GameCube, Xbox 360, etc. There's likely comparison videos online if you're interested! :)
Rfgtru
I always turn the sharpness up on TVs
Try it on a screen OLED c1 You will find a big difference in the graphics
Nintendrew made a video on that :D
I'll use it on my Wii U!
Don't set the RGB range to full unless your TV is on the same setting! Otherwise dark colors can be compressed
Never thought about that. Thanks for the heads up!
Note to self: Try playing TotK with that funky color scheme
If the M-classic had 2160p I would 100% buy it
Yeah my tv is super old and is 480 p so I probably need it
you won't see any difference if the max res is 480p
@@dylansuperti214 the thing won’t change your tv’s res lmao
@@dylansuperti214 you still use CRT or old TV from early 2000s? even ps3 or Xbox 360 already more than 480p res
If you want to play switch on your old tv , you need a hdmi2av adapter and av cables sold separately.@@dylansuperti214
Always have your tv on game settings, it priorotizes latency
hey i was gonna be the hero of the day
ig not
i changed my RGB, OH MY GOD. all my games look so much better!! especially Botw and Totk. Tysm
I’ve never reconsidered a purchase so fast in my laft
I have the M Classic. It also helps with jagged edges!!
Me, whose Switch broke: Uhh...
how?
Thanks this is helpful
Thanks, that helped alot :)
I been using the M classic since it launched and it's worth every penny of $100 because of something else it does other than upscale that he didn't mention. I addes AA smoothing those low Rez jagged edges which is a night and day difference.
Yeah I can definitely tell when I'm playing on a TV that doesn't have the MClassic setup cause the AA smoothing is super nice.
That Warioware game 💀
Huh?
I turn my tv on game mode it looks worse but there is less latency
Oh I don't recall if I ever looked at those System Settings. Well there must be a reason why to not have the full range? Does it affect frame rate? I'd rather have better performance than appearance. Is that the downside for making the change?
I'm pretty sure Auto just adjusts it based on the game or what's happening
@@LandonAndCassyauto is supposed to detect whether your TV / monitor supports the full range and enable it automatically if so. I assume the other setting just forces it, which may not look correct if not available on TV, but may be so subtle nobody would notice anything wrong anyway.
I have a 4K TV so maybe the MClassic would be a good idea but honestly, my TV has some fantastic upscaling already.
don’t buy it, you won’t see the difference. It’s a scam dor $100
I have a Sony 4K TV with all the upscaling bells and whistles. Having the MClassic does make games look better cause of the AA smoothing effect combined with the TVs customized settings. Tears of the Kingdom is smooth af with it.
Thank you. This helped. My new TV made my Switch look wierd
What if you’re using the Genki shadow cast?
Thanks man :)!
Thanks for telling ❤️ 😊
serious emswizzle short
Thanks!!
It is important to turn off automatic contrast/brightness
I'd get the MClassic at 100 dollars if it could output 4K
Colorblind people: I see.
Thanks
now if only my tv accepted a 1440p input
yeah my 4k tv doesn’t accept a 1440p input for some reason
why can’t the mclassic output in 4k
I dont want to be that guy but….
Mario loking kinda
Nice
I have a Samsung TV but in my color settings is that I second to dynamic because I found out to be the most color and brighter than most presets on my Samsung TV
This helped
That zelda botw💀
Gave me the wind Waker vibes
ohhh thats what the game settings for
I'd purchase it
My tv keeps cutting the picture, it looks like the image is under the borders idk why
yeah this is a really simple fix that i’m surprised more people don’t know about, all you have to do is go into the settings on your switch while it’s connected to a tv/monitor and you should see an option between RGB range and Screen Burn-In Reduction called “Adjust Screen Size”. once you’ve selected that option just use the up and down directions on your d-pad to change the display size. you’ll want to see the full arrows in all four corners without leaving any empty space, it takes a little to get but once you know it it’s easy.(you will have to change this setting when using a different tv or monitor usually but it won’t take more than a minute to fix now that you know the solution) i hope this helps!
For some reason when I play on the tv I can’t see the edges of the switch display. Any fixes?

The above response is correct. But I'd leave the switch settings alone and first fix the TV. There should be a setting for overscan or scaling of some sort in your TV settings. On mine I set all inputs to "just scan". There are other options which zoom slightly, which just barely cover the edges of screen.
Do you have a 720p display by chance? They're usually not actually 720p, but rather 1366x768, which can cause this issue.
Are you buying everybody 1-2 switch? It’s available now
The Cinema settings on LG were the best settings for the switch. I played around with the settings for almost one week!
Dang this video was really good and helpful!
Do not set your TV color setting to anything other than Game. It causes a whole lot of delay and makes games near impossible to play
True
Color setting should be independent of game mode. For example, I set the lg c2 to game optimizer mode, and choose color settings and warmth separately.
@@roz1281 For most TVs it’s not
edit: Oh nvm I get what ur saying I thought u we’re taking abt settings like vivid or computer or natural my bad
capture card starts flickering
What if I use a projector screen
100$ is way too much
I don't need 1440p I just need 720p
I play on monitor do these tips still apply?
If your monitor has an IPS panel and is at least 1440p, then it should work alright
Im using a literal 4k 0ms 165hz monitor so its not bs, my high end pc looks crisp as hell but the second I switched my dock from a shitty tv to my monitor, all of a sudden it looks like its 480p and the contrast is out of whack, i tried to change my monitor settings, didnt work, went into switch settings. Didnt. Work.
I call it a tele
But it works on a wii u and an a wii hdmi mod
cool
I don’t own a Switch OLED, but I do have an LG OLED TV from 2016 that I game on. Everything looks absolutely stunning on my TV, but unfortunately it makes me not want to play *anything* in handheld mode anymore because it looks so bad by comparison.
Alternative to the mclassic, you can also get a 4K one which is better than the mclassic.
I’m good
It isn’t true 1440p, just upscaled. Not worth $99.
Bro detective Pikachu won't be on the switch for another 3 months.
It's funny how switch games look so nice and good, but they can't do the same with the home screen.
Yo
Whay
Bought another mclassic style for about 30 bucks on Amazon. Made it sharper and frames were about 90
Idk why they don't just do a banjo remaster. It wouldn't be nearly as expensive, they wouldn't need to worry about the writing team, and it would let them see how much interest there is in the series. When it sells well, they'll know there's an audience for a new one.
Or just make a game console that is powerful enough to play on the tv
Early
Real early gang👍
The fans does what Nintendon’t.
Hehe I was the 6,000 like
