Thank you so much for sharing this knitting video. I've been a knitter for many years, but I've never attempted to knit one of these sweaters/jumper in the UK. Your great knowledge, is outstanding, so thank you. As Christmas is just about on us, I will look forward to knitting this, well trying to knit this after that time, well I hope to give it ago. Take care and thank you for sharing what amazing work you do.

I finally finished the sweater following dutifully your advices and the pattern! It was quite stressful when it came to binding off the neck and sealing the arm holes but I managed! (It's not perfect but I expect first tries rarely are!) Again, I can't thank you enough for your videos in this series, I would never have tried my hand at that sort of knitting without them even if I love the pattern. I can't wait for my sister to see the result and for me to start on another one of your patterns

At 2:21 with the ssk you mention “you see the stitch is not open to me, it faces away from me”. Those two stitches (on Left needle) both look normally-facing to me? I can’t quite see what exactly changes, after you ‘reposition’ those two stitches before increasing into them?

I have knitted a few aran design sweaters and would like to knit my first icelandic design...i picked a pattern today and ordered the wool. I an going to try to adjust my knitting style away from my usual "throw the yarn with my right hand" and keep the working yarn(s) on the left. The only question I have is what to do when its too many stitches away when picking up the original color after working another color(s)? Did I miss the explanation of that?

I didn't really get what do you mean.. there is the last row of Chart 2 to decrease has only 1 color, therefore. you decrease one color, then change your needles to 4.5mm and start doing the rib 1 knit, 1 purl stitch. Let me know what exactly made you confused? You can message me in another social media such as Instagram and send pictures maybe, so I can have a better look :)

A few questions: 1) what would the substitution be if I were to use Plotulopi instead? and 2) how can I modify the pattern to sew a zipper through it? I would love to also make a zippered version. Thank you again!

I would probably do the same, but not having smaller needles. Or if the neck is too tight in the pattern, I'll opt for classic cast-on. Another option is to use extra thread for casting-on to get double rib :)
