Played a lot today. Very hard mode was not as scary as I was expecting. It still took maybe like 100 tries though. Especially having two Knights out of synch can really mess up the early rounds, as they each move every other turn, and prevent the king from shooting back safely.

I really wish I knew this way sooner. I have lost several runs just because I had gotten in a position and thought I had to move to reload so essentially died making a move that would kill me just because I had to reload.

So I'm not the only one that _hate_ those knights. You got to play in respect with them, or you're going to get cornered ASAP. Makes any White Card that gives more Knights or buffs to Knights beyond 'Keep the King Alive' an almost instant run restarter.
Seems like the winning strat is BIG DAMAGE, hope to god you get an extra barrell at some point, and get some perk that nerfs the queens by turns 3-4 depending on how good your first three perks are. Always take out the knights first safely, then kill the other big pieces. Otherwise you need to reset or have the biggest brain to outplay your opponenet. Moat and Sabatoge are always great to see at least!
I always found Conscription to be a run starter over myself, since more Pawns all the time = have to play fast or die fast, but I suppose if you've already gotten a lot of Ammo and Damage it can be worth the pain of playing around them. Plus they at least can serve as the occasional blockers for Rooks, Queens, and Bishops.

You kidding? I've always found that if you have "court of the king" you can handle even 4 knights at once with no issue. Besides, knights being the most aggressive can be used against them, as you're practically gaining free movement when you get knight souls, especially if you have "unfaithful steed"

knights are a bit tricky because the best way to anticipate them is wonky, a few 'safe squares' in a very weird pattern [adjacent to them or diagonal from a tile that they can reach]
as opposed to bishops [any tile not their color] and rooks [hide behind cover]

If you get the red book for white and let the white bishop live on the final fight, you can get the black bishop fight

You also need "theocracy" wich mean no king but need to kill all bishops.
And you still need the red book and to let a single bishop live at the end.

Generally one or two is enough. It's more that I know where to stay in relation to peaces like Bishops and Knights in order to capture them effectively.

Usually shooting is much more accurate but he's using blunderbuss cards which increase damage by a lot but also greatly decreases your accuracy.
