He definitely needs a respirator on when doing that instead of a little dust mask. I once knew a guy that used to wrap sheet metal and all he ever wore was a dust mask. His lungs ended up bleeding from the insulation particles and he died He was a good guy too. 😢
Hey I’ve been powder coating for over a year and tried this on a smaller scale in our warehouse. The powder is more or less stuck to the metal through electricity, which is done through a ground wire. If you don’t have that ground wire attached you’ll shock the piss outta yourself lol. Could someone explain this one to me?
I've worked with powder coating for 20 years. Anyone saying "He needs a better respirator!" Is 100% wrong to an extent. The particulate size of the coating is not fine enough to make it to the lungs and will actually be stuck in his nose and come out naturally, still doesn't make it 100% safe. But it annoys me when people just make comments without solid facts.
Rip lungs
Can’t even imagine what dudes lungs look like.
Green probably
Working in any warehouse is as much or more toxic than this. This is not paint

Yes, for sure!
How does the powder stick to the part with this process? If it so good of a system then why not explain it to us?
Probably not we’ll with no negative wire, just mass produced shit
They go through a 5 stage washing process which creates a negative charge and the powder coating is the positive charge so therefore it sticks.

This guy needs an actual respirator
No way, covid masks stop viruses that are much smaller than the powder...
Some people can’t afford
It increases the cost which people don't want to pay, plus you get competetion hence miniscule margins 😢 and wont be able to buy a respirator .
Right!
