The bakkie is nice, I bought mine in February 2023, after the 15000 service in October since then I'm expiring funny noise from the engine on the driver's side and the accelerator pedal is vibrating on my foot from driving on a speed of 40km to 90 km/h. I did send it back to Ford, but I was told some was a bit loose, and it was fixed. Till this day, I'm not enjoying my Wildrak Bi-Turbo it's so frustrating.
Yoh😭, I'd be so frustrated. Probably those "first batch" issues. I hate it when I have to worry about a new car like that honestly. Hope now those issues have passed though🙆🏾♂️😭
I like the Wildtrak 2 lt bi-turbos wheels over the ones on this V6, nonetheless the Ranger especially with the V6 is tough against its peers. Solid product and I hope they turn out to be reliable.
I don't like the new wheels altogether. Even on the XLT. Only the Platinum ones look 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 but we will see when it touches down next year. I pray that this V6 is reliable because it is such an amazing engine👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Land Rover used to use the ford's V6, it was known as the Lion and it had quite a bad reputation for breaking crankshafts.... Ford USA reworked on this engine and used it on the F150 which they called it the Powerstroke which i don't think it had bad reports and they discontinued it for the F150 line-up, now we have the same Powerstroke V6 on the Ranger and we love it😅😅🔥🔥🔥 It just shows ford didn't give up on this engine, they really really made all they can to bring back this engine and use it for the Ranger😅😅🔥🔥🔥
Funny I did not even know this but they sound so similar. They have this zipping sound coming out when you pull it. I used to enjoy that a lot back in the days seeing Discovery passing by. Glad they brought it in here and hope it is realible indeed. I loved how it performed, the engine alone can convince me to pay R100K more🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾.
@sebuwam It held up well in the American F150 as far as i know... I also hope that it'll hold up well in the Ranger, as ford polished all the gremlins the engine had, time will tell hey
Well I'm happy that we got the opportunity to experience this road with another bakkie...well now I'm convinced that the P series is indeed a firmly sprung bakkie, because the ranger proved flawless. We'll that 3.0 litre V6 is punchy...🙏🙏🙏
🤣🤣... Remember we mostly blamed the road and this rainy season means the road got worse between then and now. I love the P-Series but that suspension gave me a beating honestly. Love this engine, I am convinced that its a better option if one has the money. 🙏🏽🫶🏾🤜🏾🤜🏾
It would be interesting to see have a comparison of the P- series LT passenger & LTD off- road Vs this Wild track, since the P series LT passenger bakkie has 4A as well. Just a thought...🤔🤔🤔
@@sebuwam I think what spoilt the P series ride quality is that, weight was added, so to avoid excessive roll, the suspension was fettled to being firm...GWM seems to have not had enough time or money to fine tune it to perfection for the asking price...
Humbled by that. Appreciate the feedback, means so much more than you can imagine.🙂🙂🫶🏾 I know the road is bad but P-Series did not take it well honestly🥲🤞🏾
Never been in the old Extreme, I only drove the 2.0L Amarok, otherwise, comfort and transmission response might be the best we have in the bakkie segement currently (Talking from having driven the V-Cross, P-Series, BT-50 and S11 Karoo)
Can't actually be you've not had a Polo TSI on test. But back to the Ranger, the blue brand offers fantastic products these days but reliability is still a concern for me. I wish the Amarok had this body. 😢
Well VW has not been giving me positive responses since I started. Even from dealerships. I have 1 VW car on this channel if I remember very well. Will keep trying though. Well, Amarok has the blue paint on the Aventura, beyond that it has nothing on this when it comes to looks according to me🥲. Well let's wait for them to get some mileage and see if this new V6 is the way to go. So far besides the first batch (as expected) I think they have been holding up well🤔
@@sebuwam i wonder why VW is fighting you! It's serious moes this thing. True, so far they're fairing well. The face they're built here also inspires a bit of confidence.
The instrument panel is a deal breaker for me. I love the bakkie, but unless the instrument panel is changed to be the same as the Raptor and Everest Platinum panel, its a deal breaker for me.
It does loom a bit more playful and not as serious as everything in here ne? I felt that actually, I was okay with it in the XLT but this should have been upped. 💯 with you there🤔
Such a bummer..that and performance matrix headlights...but still got one anyways and it is amazing. If they put the V6 in the wildtrack X I may just have to trade in..that would be the perfect bakkie

Love you video bro, I watch it everyday and I’m getting the V6 this month 👌🏾
Appreciate that a lot. I Always create with a buyer in mind and this makes me so happy. Have many blessed and happy kilometres with it🫶🏾🫡🙂🙂🙂
Would love to create some content the day I pick it up and a few days after driving it, I’ll see how it goes but I’m definitely getting a V6
Sebuwa is a real motorist driving and he sold me the V6 😀😃😄
I would like to see a comparison between the wild track v6 and the 2l wild track X biturbo.
Will most probably get the X next year. Will see how it goes🤞🏾🙂
Did you manage to provide a comparison video on wildtrak biturbo vs wildtrak x? @@sebuwam

Great video as always
How is the comfort and transmission? Can you compare it with the old Amarok V6 extreme?

i just saw a peugeot Landtrek, when are we having it,,,I wonder if it will destroy my liking like the P-series on gravel,, P-series was horrible😅
Eish, not even sure if they still give those for Media (Peugeot). Nah man GWM made the Limited too hard🤔
Can we apply the 4A on tarmac?
Is this better than the Amarok aventura?
I'd believe on the lifestyle side Aventura may be a notch above, it is probably matched to the Platinum coming next year🤔
So where does the Wildtrak X fits in visa vie the Platinum

Buy an Amarok then... 12" full LCD is in PanAmericana, Aventura and now I'm not fully sure... Style. Maybe as an option.
