I am currently in the process of dong my Yoga Teacher Training Internship and I found this video very helpful. Thank you for these great tips! After watching a few of your videos, I am now feeling more inspired than ever to expand and grow as a yoga teacher.
The one thumbs down is likely from someone who I've tried to block in all places, but they can still see my videos and dislike them anonymously. It's not about me at all, I know this. Dislikes are still engagement, though! So it's not bad for the TH-cam algorithm at all. It actually helps. ;)
Hi Ashley! Thank you so much for all these tips and ways to make money as a yoga instructor! I love that you started this video with a discussion on mindset - shifting from scarcity to abundance. Really believing in yourself and saying "I got this!" Amazing! I have been on TH-cam for a little over a year now. It is a LONG game, which is great! It gives me the opportunity to really connect with my community members and to understand what they are looking for (goals, interests, etc.). I look forward to learning more from you 💙🙏😊
Yes, it's a LONG game. Especially TH-cam. I have been on TH-cam for 9 years. And building as a "yoga teacher" on TH-cam for 5 years. But I think everyone should have the foundations set up for just-in-case a video goes viral, or a popular channel shares your content. You never know when or if that will happen.
Thanks a lot Ashley, very helpful tips!!!Just started my TH-cam channel and find it quite complicated to post a videos regularly, but I will follow your advice and keep myself motivated🙏🧘♂️
Helpful AND overwhelming. I am not making money on any online services yet. I'm 2 months into gaining followers on Instagram and realizing that maybe TH-cam would be more worth my time.
Thanks Ashley! I love all your sharing's and it's been super helpful for us, moving from just making videos to understanding more about live Zoom classes. You're awesome! 🙏💖
It's not so much hesitations, just uncertainty. We want to have a standard of quality to offer to our students. Of course there will always be a learning curve - figuring out how to use OBS definitely took some time 😅 - but I have found your videos and suggestions very helpful. Even this suggestion to use Acuity is great! I'm really looking forward to remodeling our website and integrating something like this to make everything more simplified. Right now I suppose our biggest issue is that our website is completely outdated, from a time ago when we were offering live retreats abroad, and our website creators have ghosted us. So we have this beautiful, but completely useless website that needs to be updated or recreated. And at the moment all of our Zoom classes are organized though e-mail and payments through PayPal or bank transfer. But it all seems quite unprofessional and I think for this reason it is very slow to take off.
@@AshleyHagen Oh I try a lot and I did change some of my technical items for going online. I gave also classes in the past in a studio. At the moment I have a “7am wake up call” in the morning live on youtube for 7 days! It is a lot fun!!! I get better and better with all that knowledge about so many things. I love it! ❤️ And your videos help and motivate me a lot! Thank you so much Ashley! 😊
very valuable tips, thank you! currently, i struggle with 2-5, as I see the online fatigue among many students, resulting in sinking numbers of course participants... any tips on how to expand the reach and increase the audience?
Hi, If we were to create a class package series, say a vinyasa 14 day bundle, to sell as an evergreen product, where should we upload these videos so people can purchase them? TH-cam works or do you have a suggestion? Thanks!!
Awesome advice! Thank you! I am a young 50 year old wanting to learn yoga and possibly teach..I don't want you say I'm too old! But my brain. Is telling me otherwise.. do you know anybody that started in their fifties and also teaches?
Hi Julie. In my area, there are several prominent yoga instructors above the age of 50. I have worked in the studios they work at, and they are doing great. Donna Farhi is a well-known example. You may have already seen her books or interviews on TH-cam. If not, you should check out her work. She is a great role model. It is entirely possible, and to be honest, there are so many students 50 and above who sort of roll their eyes when a 20-something-year-old teacher seems to have an effortless time demoing an asana to the class. Your age is an advantage to the class. It's a reflection of your life experience, your wisdom, as well as your empathy for diverse body types. Not to mention, your students will recognize your bravery for pursuing this path! You will have uniquely relatable talking points, and your students will most likely feel really comfortable connecting to you. Being a yoga instructor, or even just delving into yoga for yourself, is a beautiful and deeply fulfilling experience. Go for it.
Thank you so much for the video Ash, could you please recommend online courses that would help learn more about online business and marketing? Ive been feeling pretty lost recently
I have a course, so of course I am going to recommend it. AshesYoga.com/VVA You can book a call with me to ask questions and see if it’s the right fit. Or sign up and get started right away.
Hi Ashley💜This are all great ideas thanks for sharing🙏. How do you manage your time to be able to do all of what you shared? Time management and having a life aside from that I find it pretty challenging to manage to be honest.
I do what I can and let go of the rest. I think I have a video. Oh, here you go. It's over a year old, prior to my son being in daycare 4 days a week. th-cam.com/video/hL6W_e7_d5E/w-d-xo.html
You usually have to pay for someone's exact how-to step-by-step formula and coaching. My program Virtual Vinyasa Academy dives deep into all of these. You can, however, find most of the information for free, but it will take longer. You have to know exactly what you are looking for.
@@AshleyHagen I’m sorry I am bothering you a little. But please let me know, did you prepare the RTY program for your website or is that a standardised format.
@@priyankamanitripathi4711 Which website? The RYT syllabus for Yoga Alliance? If that's what you're asking, then no. A co-teacher got the school registered and I took it over a year later. I didn't have to update the syllabus. My current training does not necessarily follow the original syllabus. But all of the hours and curriculum are taught as required by YA. I am not currently planning on hosting another YTT anytime soon.
Shifting from Scarcity to Abundance mindset is SO important
There is plenty enough to go around, and more! :)
I love the shifting from scarcity to abundance mindset part 😢❤
I don’t know which one I plan to do but I am going to listen to this video every single day for a while. INSPO
I’m currently teaching donation based IG live classes and feeling like it’s time for a switch. This was really helpful.
Thank you🙏🏼
Is there an option on IG to accept donations?
At this time, I'm working on building up 5, 7, and 8. What about you? Leave a comment!
