Oh my goodness ❤️ Ashley you're my life saver....you and your videos are helping me a great way where I can't explain in my words!! I did my teacher training on October 2019....and I just started teaching on Dec 2019 till February 2020 and I stopped due to covid19. Now I'm planning to start virtual yoga classes... taking baby steps!! Working out with cam angles and lighting!! I'm very nervous about these online teaching.... probably by November 2020 I may start online classes. A nd you come to me as a life saver with videos as a motivation to me❤️❤️❤️❤️ It's Means a lot. Thank you so much. Love you❤️
Hi Akshaya! I'm so glad I have been able to help you (and many others) who are venturing into the world of online yoga teaching. You are doing a great service for your students and those you are surrounded by. Keep it up! I look forward to hearing an update from you on how November virtual yoga goes.
Really great insights! I think the hardest thing is just to get started teaching. Mistakes have to be fixed on the way, if you get too worried to fix all mistakes before you even start, you will not really learn from them.
Thank You so much Ashley!! I have been wanting to make videos for a long time! I also struggle with finding my way as a teacher. I still lack some confidence but I won’t give up. I realize I don’t have to be perfect just being me is enough! You are a blessing🙏🏽ThankYou again my friend💜
I started Yoga body in 2007 slacked up , but on my own. Then I started Yoga again with a yoga teacher in the studio. I'm still working on it every day. I'm glad to be here in this space with you I am learning more about it where I left off. Yoga is my passion.
You made me feel so much better sharing your struggle about wording cues and speaking authentically! I struggle with it too. It does get better but only with practice!
Every single one of these myths have been my "reasons" for not starting my teaching journey. I graduated from my YTT200HR at the peak of the pandemic (March) and felt like I never had the chance to put my training to use... this was everything I needed to hear! THANK YOU
Don't forget this will pass one day the opportunity will be there. This is a lifetime journey and we lost many very good teachers who weren't open to this concept of going on line. I'm looking forward to getting my old life back and seeing faces again but now there is a whole new world that I didn't know existed. I also work less for the same amount of money and can conserve energy. I'm never teaching 15-18 classes a week again!
Incredible offering Ashley! I particularly like the part about what the students have in common. Mine are attracted to the spiritual aspect of my classes and the calming effects. I love how different our offerings are. Wishing you continued success. Namaste 🙏🏻
I've been teaching online for studios this year, but only started setting up my own online classes last month. The past month had been a little heavy on me emotionally. I've been providing weekly 35min community classes to try to gain audience, and set up 1 paid class every week. For the first 2 weeks, there wasn't anyone interested, but recently, I had 3 students who bought 3 - 5 credit packs with me. But I guess I've been putting a lot of expectations and pressure on myself about this, and feel discouraged when ppl don't come back, or not many ppl are paying to come to my classes. So, I really appreciated this video, especially when you address how it's never too late to start no matter how saturated the industry is, and that even though there are free classes out there, people will still be willing to pay if we can provide them the things they value in our classes. I also like what you mentioned about separating the business and personal, this is probably one of the biggest struggles I have as a new teacher. I'm trying my best not to read things as "maybe the students had a bad experience" when they don't come back to my classes, because that just starts a whole cycle of destroying my own self-worth 😖 Anyway, thanks so much for sharing! Also, all your videos on microphones and set-up have been really really helpful for me!! Thank you 🥰🤍✨
Thanks for your tips in this video. I was referred to your channel by a colleague on my 200YTT course for your sequencing vids and I’m so glad you’ve so much content and shared nuggets of gold 🙏🙏🙏 you’ve a new yogi follower ✊
Thank you for sharing, I’ve been teaching for a year now and felt exactly the same.......I still at times have imposter syndrome but it is really good advise to narrow down your style instead of trying to please everyone. Something I seem to do a lot. So nice of you to share. X
Thank you Ashley - THUMBS UP for your great video and great energy!!!! You are my yoginistar from over the other side of the world! Big hug and Namaste! Your video has motivated me to get started with the ONLINE Teaching experience as a beginner! THANK YOU! YOU MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
Thank you so much! Lots and lots of practice of trying to show up on video the same as how I would be off video. It doesn't always happen naturally, but practice definitely helps. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the info and tips you’re sharing. You just covered every single “myth” that’s been keeping me from getting started for months now. But as you said in the video, it’s never too late to get into the game so here I go! Thanks again for your encouragement and helpful tips 🙏

Thanks you so much for making this video. Im about to start my online classes and this video really helped to boost my confidence. 🙏🎉😇
Do you need to purchase a web cam to make videos or record on you tube??
No, you can use your phone. Or the internal camera on a laptop. A webcam is usually just better quality than the laptops internal camera.
Great video.. Love and peace.
