    Hey Mak, so my second product I'm working on (the weekender bag) the size requirements on Printify is not adding up when I export my design from Canva, it seems to be off completely and I'm trying to adjust it but I cannot get it right. Any tips? I would very much appreciate it:)

    Sometimes in Canva I bump the pixel size up to get the dpi to 300… and then it’s a large file. Any suggestions about that?

    For 6:33, did you do that for the black sweatshirt, or are you showing it as an example of what happens if you don't do it? Also, if you've tried it multiple times, does it always work or does it sometimes ruin the design? And have you tried layering over it more than once? Thanks.

    • @ARTORTURED
      @ARTORTURED 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Contrary to popular belief, layering for a thicker print won’t work because all the layers are flattened into a single file that is printed.

    just ordered from Monster D and the black T-shirt looks old, navy blue at best. I was able to get a credit but I need help selecting a supplier that will actually provide a black T. The print was perfect, quality of the t was nice. The problem is the color itself.

    Does anyone know for sure that doubling up causes the printer to print it twice? I saw another TH-camr did a video where he emailed the print provider to ask if doubling the design meant that it would be printed twice. The response was no and that printify still exports all the layers as a single design layer to the print provider (which actually makes sense otherwise you could create 10 layers in printify which I imagine would be very expensive for the provider over time).

    • @lbrent82
      @lbrent82 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m wondering the same thing! I know Cassie Johnson has a video where she supposedly “doubled up“ the design in Printify so that it would print twice. The sample she got definitely looks thicker, but Printify and Swift POD even said that they do not print twice. I guess I’m just thinking with that logic, you could put 10 layers and they would print it 10 times…at no additional cost??? Can’t imagine them using that much ink and not charging for it. Really wondering if anyone has any experience with this. 🤔

      I think they do print it more than once.. they just don’t want anyone knowing because 💰.. I have noticed that they removed the “duplicate” button in the variants and layers menu.. probably to make it not as obvious of an option now that the word is out. It would be great if they stopped cheaping out so we didn’t have to do this.

      I’ve been researching this not only on TH-cam but Reddit threads etc, and I’ve seen multiple people that have run their own DTG business (one for 10yrs) and owning the print machines & understanding their settings, and all of them have confirmed that doubling up doesn’t work because the layers are all flattened into one single file.

      the size of your image needs to be larger! check the dimensions for the specific product on Printify and resize the image to that

    Hi Mak, thank you so much for this great video! It's really helping specially for me as a begginer on Printify 🙂👍 I was wondering... If you double the design on T-Shirts, won't the image appear on the other side of the fabric? 👕 Thanks again for your amazing video 💯

    • @moneywithmak
      @moneywithmak  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! If you mean on the back, no it will not bleed through. You may be able to see the print if the shirt is inside out but this shouldn’t cause for much issue. I have never had a complaint for a double print! You can always order a sample to test for yourself too:)

    • @quinetenteriennarien26
      @quinetenteriennarien26 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@moneywithmak Yes, I was referring to the print being visible when the shirt is inside out :) Do you think it is a good idea if I double the print on Every T-shirt, specially the white and light colored t-shirts? 👕

      Picelcut works great for that as well as upscaling your images for higher quality too. Printful also offers that feature when you design your shirts.

    I just talked to printify support about doubling and this was their response vs what was mentioned in the video. Theres also a youtuber that used to print shirts that claims they only use one print file as well so no double passes.
    "I'm back - in this case, the design the Print Provider receives is just one file, and even if you layer the designs on the Product Creator it will only be made into just one image and without the separated layers. Print Provider then will print the design they receive in one full printing process, and would not necessarily print in layers following how you layered the design on our system."
