I remember watching this when I was a kid. I even remember Li Mei having a short cameo in the Dr. Strange Sorcerer Supreme movie. Whatever anyone's opinion on this movie, I will say this; this was by far a better Mandarin than what we got in the MCU (and I mean in both Iron Man and Shang Chi) The Mandarin honestly felt like a threat in the movie, even though he didn't appear until the end. He's supposed to be what Iron Man isn't; while Iron Man is about technology and represents the advancement into the future and sharing this gift with the world, the Mandarin relied on sorcery and wanted to hoard the power for himself, much as rulers tended to do so long ago. Future vs past, technology vs sorcery, knight vs dragon. That's how I've always viewed the Mandarin to be.

I liked the Invincible Iron Man film. It was set in the same universe as Doctor Strange: Sorcerer Supreme. And the alternate opening sequence was incredible. It also showed Tony Stark being more innovative than depicting him as a weapons designer; he was building suits of armor and raising a city from underground. If we see a live-action version of this film in the MCU, I’ll pay to see it.
I feel like it would be cooler if he was already, officially Iron Man, and it's revealed when he shows Rhodey the armory. It doesn't feel like an Iron Man origin movie, more like just an adventure movie for Iron Man.🫤
Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a good show, with my favorite animated Tony Stark voice. I never really put together that everything went south because of the Disney thing.
Funny. Despite releasing before the 2008 movie, this has the same vibe as that Mortal Kombat animated movie where it has a very similar plot to the live action one yet it's a lot worse

This kinda sounds like a bad movie version of Ironman Armored Adventures Season 1 that focuses on an adult Tony instead of a teen Tony, Tony is already Ironman when he’s kidnapped by a group connected to the Mandarin, Howard Stark is still alive while Tony’s mother is dead, the Mandarin only has five rings, Tony isn’t an arrogant jerk at first and immediately wants to help people without weapons and with the Ironman suit, but Armored Adventures used all of that well but this just sounds like it barely tried so it’s like the team behind Armored Adventures looked at this movie and said “okay, let’s do that, but much better” Also why did they have Tony use the “Mark 1” in the final battle? Was he unable to use the red and gold suit? Another better thing for something related to Ironman since the game Ironman VR had Tony use the MK 1 in the final mission/boss as well but that made sense because Gunsmith (Tony’s first AI before Friday (cause I guess ever sense Age of Ultron Jarvis has just been nonexistent or something)) could take control of Tony’s tech and use the Impulse suit against him so Tony had to use something that Gunsmith couldn’t control so he got the MK 1 from the cave, fixed it up, and made the right upgrades, that all made sense but why did he use that suit for the final battle here like I actually wanna know

Even though, I hated this movie. I actually had good memories from it. I watched this movie when me and family went to Las Vegas for a vacation and see my grandpa who lives there. I had amazing time with a lot of good memories. But I think I did like this movie when I was a kid but of course watching now I was like “what the hell was wrong with me during that time?”
I actually own this movie on BluRay. I did like the movie. If you found this movie boring then I guess you never read much of the original comics. The CGI looked a lot worse in the 90’s Iron Man animated series.
I’m sorry for the rant. I remembered this from me being a child going to the red box you’d find in stores and getting this movie. It was a masterpiece in my eyes. And after forgetting it for years I remembered finally seeing iron man movie. It seemed all so familiar. I loved it. Why is that though. Then I remembered the invincible iron man. Hellboy sword of storms And all even planet hulk. These mean so much to me. They are master pieces in my eyes. Though they have flaws in story. I just couldn’t help but to be captivated by the ambiance. By the art. By the beautiful shoes of weakness to strength. It’s beautiful. I apologize if you read this far. Feel like this had to be said even with this short time we have.
I saw this when I was 14. I’d already seen the 2008 one and this one was so bad I lost interest and left the room and came back and I was like “oh I was watching that”
You've been posting a lot of nostalgia for me. I'm only 18, but I had this on dvd and I watched the shit out of it on road trips, as well as the hulk vs wolverine and hulk vs thor. It does suck, but the iron man parts were awsome.
I remember watching this movie as a kid, but as an adult if you were to ask me what the plot was, i wouldn't have been able to tell you. It was super forgettable even as a kid. The Doctor Strange animated movie on the other hand, i kinda like more than the live action one.

Damn this was my first introduction to iron man back in the day. And I thought this was the sickest thing ever as a kid 😂
It was? How old were you?
Is it worse than Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore? That adapted Matt Fraction’s and Salvador Larroca’s story in 2008 and was basically brain dead.
I see your point, but I still love this movie. If hadn't watched this three million times as a kid to the point the dvd is non functioning, I'd probably have a different opinion though lol. Also, I still have nightmares to this day about the elementals in this movie to this day.
I loved this film as a kid, and I will continue to love it despite its flaws
Dude I knew the marvel animation score was all the same!! The trumpets dude!!
this was insanely frightening for me during my childhood😭
Even though, I hated this movie. I actually had good memories from it. I watched this movie when me and family went to Las Vegas for a vacation and see my grandpa who lives there. I had amazing time with a lot of good memories. But I think I did like this movie when I was a kid but of course watching now I was like “what the hell was wrong with me during that time?”
No matter what you say about the movie, that theme is epic, and need to be used more-
I actually own this movie on BluRay.
You're only 18?
I remember watching this movie as a kid, but as an adult if you were to ask me what the plot was, i wouldn't have been able to tell you. It was super forgettable even as a kid. The Doctor Strange animated movie on the other hand, i kinda like more than the live action one.
6:38 CJ deserves a raise for doing such a good job editing.
It's always funny to me how DC could make phenomenal animated movies, but the live action was garbage; with Marvel, it was the exact opposite.
I remember watching it when I was like 6 or 7, I really wanna watch it again but nobody is streaming it, does anyone know where I can find it?
You used to be able to rent/purchase it on Prime Video, but I’m quite sure they took it down because I can’t find it on there anymore.
