  • Here's a DIY video on how I made 2 fluted coffee tables for our living room. The total cost was around USD$150 and it took a weekend to complete. I loved how it turned out!

    ----NOTE: I forgot to mention in this the video! My wood circles I purchased was made from plywood so the sides don't look as finished. To finish it, I add veneer edge tape to the sides. It has glue on it already. Just need to press a hot iron on it in order for it to stick. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions and I will reply back to you!

    Great tables. Would be great to show where you got the items to make it? Eg where does the wooden slat sheet thing come from that you just wrap around the base?

      Hi, if you are in the US, you can purchase the pole wrap from Lowe's or Home Depot. rstyle.me/+ISFNWAYnd58gam6Xpaje5A . They come in different dimensions. Make sure to check you buy the right one : ) Hope that helps!

      I just used Gorilla wood glue for both tables. It’s been a couple of months already and they’ve stayed on with no issues!

    I’m a year late! Very beautiful tables 😍, I have a question. On the bigger table I see you added 3 circular wood pieces. What size and thickness did you get to make cylinder structure? Also I see that the rectangular shapes are a different size, is there a reason? And how tall did you make them to create the cylinder structure? Sorry for all the questions would to make this myself

    • @jnnliuliu
      @jnnliuliu  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For the 3 wood pieces, I used 1/2” thickness. For the rectangular shapes, you just need to make sure the combined height of all those rectangles + the thickness of your 3 pieces of wood equals the total height of your cylinder (mine was 17”). As I used some scrap wood I had left over, each rectangle ended up being a different height. If you want to make your all the same height the each rectangle will be (17” total height - (3 x 1/2”thickness of circles))/3 rectangles = 3” height of rectangle. Let me know if that helps or if you have any other questions!:)

    Hi! What length pole wrap did you buy fornthr base ofnthe bigger table? The 12 inch or 16 inch and how many did you need?

    • @jnnliuliu
      @jnnliuliu  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The height of the pole wrap section was around 18.5”! (So that’s the distance from the ground to under the table too). My pole wrap couldn’t cover the width in once piece so I used a couple of separate pieces. Let me know if that makes sense!

    What sealer did you use? Polycrylic makes it yellowish.

    • @jnnliuliu
      @jnnliuliu  ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t seal the base. I only stained the table top! I used Varanthe’s weathered oak stain.

    What thickness did you use for the table top? Also, for the larger base what size did you get the round pieces?

    • @jnnliuliu
      @jnnliuliu  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The table top thickness is 1/2”:) the circles inside the base was 20” diameter!

    where did you get the 30 inch wood circles from?

    • @jnnliuliu
      @jnnliuliu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the question. I forgot to mention this!! I got them from: woodpeckerscrafts.com/wood-circles-wooden-discs/ . They have different sizes to choose from! Note that it is plywood, so the edges wont look as finished. To finish it up, I wrapped it with edge tape. amzn.to/3n0SJks . All you do is wrap it around the sides and use a hot iron and press it on. Sorry that I missed out this part in the video. Let me know if you have any questions!

      For the small table, I bought “Form Tubes” from the hardware store! For the larger table, as you can see from the video I made some wood structures myself. Hope that answers your question!

    Hi, can you share the tables' dimensions?

    • @jnnliuliu
      @jnnliuliu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure : ) the diameter of large table's top piece is 30", and the pole wrap base is diameter 20". The small table is 17" ( for the top) and 10" for the base. You can also refer to time 0:07 of the video. Let me know if you have any more questions!
