LA movie suggestions: Chinatown, Once upon a time in Hollywood, Swingers, Clueless, Speed. And the TV series Flaked does a good job of life in Venice Beach.
I'd delicately urge you to give Wolfs another try (maybe after a while). In fact, watching Instigators (which seemed like two other actors from Ocean's attempting the same) made me appreciate it so much more. Given that it's a tributish Tarantino homage within a Soderbergh frame, but the timing in humor is so hard to get right esp these days where it feels more and more gimmicky and reelish, it was good to see that work after a long while. I don't know what exactly worked but I have preferred Liman to Watts but here it flipped completely.
