Great interview, Sizwe! You truly have a fantastic mind. Was also good to know I’m not the only one whose parents gave them a complex marital setup to wrap their head around 😅
I am humbled by Sizwe`s admission for his people from the father`s side, education goes a long and hat off to his dad SC Dali Mpofu for taking time to groom this humble son of the Soil a PHD at 33 wow!!!!
I watch Sizwe all the time, but Penuel this was a masterpiece. You are amazing at this! I loved this interview and respect you and the good Dr Mpofu-Walsh! I love how you look up to and speak on your parents Dr. they have done such a great job with you.
Watched this show today and when you requested Entity regroup for one last show, that brought me to tears. Sizwe, do the right thing gents. In memory of AKA.

Yoh honestly ever since I started watching these two on both channel my vocabulary is slowly improving, Thank you Gents for sharing your wisdom with us, keep good work coming.
Yhoooo!!! This is going to be historical. My two favourite thought leaders. I'd say influencers, but hey, they went to school and stuff. So yes, though leaders. Looking forward to this. (No shade on anyone intended😁)
"if you learn how to learn, it doesn't matter if it is through formal education or not, the love of the pursuit of knowledge, is just as good as a rubber stamp from the highest education possible"... that was power!!.. ( paraphrase)
Thanks Pen for making Sizwe aware that the 2nd & 3rd round of conversation is coming, its good to see him on the other side of the table sharing with us his personal journey can't wait for him to give his perspective on current affairs. Sizwe is an inspiration and make education look good big ups to Pen & team.
Ok I’ll be the first to be humble and admit , I used to hate Penuel , I used to think Uyafosta like Mzekezeke ..but after watching these interviews, I can see a real Leader and an example in you brother , you have a gift of listening to fully understand, and your vast knowledge on things to be able to engage in outta here ..how you keep calm and content in the presence of very rich kids , or very intelligent people , and how you are still able to find your space to talk , encourage , and introduce a different view to them , is really something to be applauded.. shout out to you my dawg , you have gained my respect .
You're a great person. Takes a great person to keep consuming someone you hate and open yourself up to give them a chance, and to humble yourself when you're wrong. I appreciate your comment, and wish you all the best things in life 🙏🏽❤️
Thanks for bringing Sizwe in your platform. Thanks for co-signing him sounds Weird because he should be the one Co-signing you given the years he has been around
34 minutes into the interview, i like both of you a lot. I love Sizwe's mom with all i have, she is the greatest in my opinion. Watching this though therr are pockets of awkwardness that keeps popping, someone is not completely free.
Thank You @godpenuel for bringing us these powerful stories ... Please keep them coming! If it wasn't for you some us wouldn't know and understand what we NOW know and understand. Dankie Penuel!!!
I just finished watching your conversation with Sizwe on SMWX, what a high quality exchange of thoughts. No doubt that you voice is becoming revelant to the modern South African narrative.
Thanks for putting yourselves out there. Living in the USA at the moment and feeling homesick. Amazing to feel like there is a 'culture' in which I feel comfortable. And that this young 'culture' is finding its voice. As a young father, I would love you two to explore that area of your lives and where you get the wisdom which informs your decision making in that realm.
Thank you Penuel. I have been a fan of Dr Sizwe Walsh Mpofu from the time he release his first, which I bought. I have been following his TH-cam channel for long time, we use to get his updates through whatsapp.
Oh my word!!!!! Incredible conversation! Penuel my brother, you are brilliant. I admire your great ability to ask questions and to create a warm atmosphere for your guests. Fascinating to get to learn more about Sizwe . So this was recorded before AKA's passing, unbelieavable.
Penuel the most exciting podcast. Siswe is a very humble man. I always follow his podcast interviews with high powered politicians. Now I know his interesting history. Keep up the good work.
Intelligent men....... social intelligence is absolutely necessary in our time...... bcz before we fight let us be aware and awake..... intellect .....is key
Shout out to pen and the team man. You are doing an excellent job please bring more academias on the show we are really learning a lot. shout to Dr Mpofu-Walsh great guy brilliant mind heres to making Education cool again. Ke ntwana Skraal and I love the fact that Pen actually knows Hammanskraal. Otle kasi ro bethise ndiya dawgie.
Thank you gentlemen. I’ve been in tune with both your work. @SMWX since that Pr Zuma interview and Black Pen not sure which podcast but been following both because i identify with the way you both think and i’ve been patiently waiting for this episode so thank you. My dad is a from the old Transkei defence(before it was SANDF we know now) force and before 1994 he was sent with a scrambler bike to the villages to register peoples ages for IDs. The oldest person in the home would have to recall a memory of a war,a certain star or occasion they were born in to try and track how old they were, the grandmother would track back to when she had her first period to track her first born’s age. B Pen you spoke about surnames and their relevance or irrelevance and that is also something new as age is. As much as people will always be different, people will always be the same, you will never know somebody until you meet them(like former pres JZ). We are still living with a plague called colour. What we all need to realise is that whatever has been done to you, you cannot wear as a badge of shame, it is our responsibility to look at our lives, take responsibility for it then begin to change it ,and you gentlemen are on the right track. I cant wait to get my hands on Dr Mpofu Walsh’s book and i think i’ve read most of the books i’ve heard B Pen reference so i’ll leave you with a few of my fav you might or might not have read. 1.Prof Ngugi Wa Thiongo - Decolonising the mind 2.Peter Davis Darkest Holywood 3.James Baldwin The Fire Next time(also watch his debate with William F. Buckley) My mission vimeo.com/759868086
The comment about private school kids is hectic. I'm a PK (private school kid) and I can relate to the mental health challenges. Can't wait for that conversation.
I LOVE THE WAY YOU MOVE MLOTYWA YOU BRING US BEST OF THE BEST, THE SO CALLED CELEBRITIES CAN GO ELSE WHERE,WE FINE WITH THE SMART BRAINS AND GOOD STORIES,REAL RECOGNIZE REAL ❤
23:19 I gave praise to both the mother and father. Reason being I have a relative who currently use her fathers surname however she does not like her surname cause her dad has never being part of life. Her mom is against her changing the surname. You carry a surname of someone who is present in your life whether is support, presence, finance or love. Dr Sizwe currently have the surname, full love, presence & support. I also have a brother who is currently raising his son alone. The mother passed away while there were separated. she changed the sons name to her current partner surname and she passed away. People always give him a grief of making sure he changes the boys surname however the step father is nowhere to be found. My brother actually said he is glad that is actively raising his son and the surname is nothing as compared to loving his son.
I hope people like this brother do not eventually choose to leave SA cause of the current state of this country cause we need people of such wisdom....and you Penuel as well. I'm so proud of you bro, funny enough cause I do not know anything about you but only that you're from Newcastle and you went to Rhodes...maybe it's cause you studied here in the Eastern Cape and anyone that has lived in this province knows how hard it must be to me it to those levels you are today. I'm proud and I'm a bit a jealous as well cause I feel like a failure in life, I'm 36 and I've only completed my undergrad degree now. I live in a shack, my life is a mess and I feel like I don't even know where I'm going I'm so confused cause I'm getting older and life just keeps getting harder for me. I don't know if I should further my studies or look for employment. I drive a local mini taxi for survival. .eish when I was younger and full of life I thought I was destined for something greater...
This episode spoke to me man, it reminded me of how much i love academics thank you for that Pen and a big shoutout to Dr mSizwane for sharing his journey. i had planned to take a gap year this year to focus on other things but i can juggle school so ya'll are the reason why i'm heading back to chowing course and continuing my journey to the highest level possible.🙃
