A really cool project marra, make it your own, the best part of building a hot rod!!
Really appreciate it Gav, 😎👍
Cheers Tom i will send you an update when i have more progress so that should be next summer . Regards Gav.
I think that this is quite an old kit, that's why the lack of detail. Anyway you have a plan and i kinda get it, solid start Gav, keep workung at it and you will see where this takes you! Thanks for sharing, take care and keep up the good work marra!
Thank you George enjoy your day marra . Regards Gav.
Hi Gavin, Great video! I remember building this as a kid. Those chrome bits on the end of the exhaust pipes are just a fancy cover. This was designed by Tom Daniels a very well known car designer. I emailed you a link to a video about a replica someone built. I know how YT is about putting links in the comments. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Thanks for the information and support Jeff its greatly appreciated marra . Regards Gav.

Gav customizing? What could go wrong? 🤔 lol 😂! I'm excited to see this build Marra 😊❤
Exactly marra what can possibly go wrong me a saw and some glue , it could turn into a go cart at this rate . Regards Gav.
@@gavinbooth lol 😆 😂
I think a lot of Tom Daniels vehicles weren’t made to drive and run, the real one to one vehicles, they were just made to haul from show to show. Oh some probably ran but the show rods were just made to look good and that’s it. I really wasn’t into those things myself, maybe a little when I was younger, like 10-11 years old, but as I got older I like the drag cars, street driveable vehicles, like the big Ol American made rigs, iron, what have you. Anyhow, I’m sure you’ll figure it out and do it marra, I have no doubt! Have a good one Gav and rock on 🤘, yes sir, Ole Tom is a good bloke, 4 sure!
Cheers Doug this one by the time i have finished with it certainly wont look like it would move . I appreciate your words marra , enjoy your weekend . Regards Gav.
@@gavinbooth - Cheers marra! 🤟🏻✌🏻
Looking forward to see what you come up with it.
Cheers Phil it wont be up to your standards but lets see what happens marra . Regards Gav.
@@gavinbooth you got it. I'm sure.
Most American model kit offerings are pretty poor compared to some European and Japanese offerings. Round2/AMT/MPC and Revell US are still making model kits from 50 year old molds. Sometimes they make fix one of the molds if they get bad enough, but sometimes they don't.
Cheers Beetle its adapted and overcome then . Regards Gav.
@@gavinbooth Absolutely. There aren't many choices if you want classic street iron. But the kits are good starting points for customization.
They are valve covers over the exhaust tips. That was part of the original design by Tom Daniel. It was designed in the 60s, and I guess he wanted to "dress up" the exhausts. I also think it looks ridiculous, but i think a lot of off the wall designs from that time period are also mental.
Thanks Beetle i don't think they will be on the finished build marra . Regards Gav.
@@gavinbooth I wouldn't use them either. I'd probably make straight pipes that pointed up with scalloped ends.
