Hi all , here's another update on the 1/16 waffen ss figure most of the paint guides are on the community tab . Thanks for taking a look . Regards Gav.
Definitely 'high end' work in this scale. The different textures (wood, cloth, leather, skintone, metals) are all brilliantly done. I find it really impressive that you get the results you do in such different scales since the techniques, indeed the 'eye' you need are totally different. I used to judge painting competitions and this is definitely something that would be considered. (The KAR98k on its own is a masterpiece!) xx SF
Cheers Dave that was no penalty i said it as it happened but your lads needed to score and didn't . Both our teams in this tournament have struggled finding the net . We seem to have a knack of nicking a goal in the last minute and i will take that all day marra ! Regards Gav.
I like what you’ve done with the figure Gav. 😍 The camo smock looks perfectly fine to me. The lighting for the video is kind of harsh so I bet the colours look even better under natural light and not through the camera lens. 👍🏻 👌🏻
Impressive and convincing result, Gav! The soldiers looks great in this kind of painting. A great figure. It surely would look more than well in a showcase. Best wishes, Joachim
Thanks Joachim and if you have any info on Kavalleriekorps "Harteneck" in Hungary 1944/45 i would be grateful i have a Dragon 1/16 figure on the way ! Regards Gav.
Hi Gav. A interesting idea, but I haven't no special information for this project, only the ones, which are to find in the web. Wish you in any case a good time with this idea. Greetings, Joachim
No problem Joachim i thought i would ask i knew there was a Heer cavalry unit in Hungary but until i bought the figure i had not thought to look deeper . Regards Gav .
