I mean there's a reason why Marlin is what he is - he lost his wife and his many other unborn egg children and Nemo is the only one he has and he fears of losing him like he did his wife & unborn egg children. Man, this movie was the first I ever saw in theaters. Of course, being only one at the time, I don't remember the experience, and from what I was told we had to leave in the middle because I started crying - but it's still pretty cool.
7:27 Wars have left some underwater explosives mines set out to sink submarines, just like in some areas there are land mines which are a huge danger. When ships detected submarines below them they would drop these mines trying to hit the submarine. When sonars were invented, the submarines would try to go as deep as possible and maintain themselves stopped and quiet to mix themselves with the ocean floor from the sonar's point of view, so often they estimated the location of the submarine and dropped several charges, hoping one of them hit them. It would not be uncommon that if they dropped multiple charges, several or all of them would fail to hit the submarine and stay there for years. In the case of the wreck of the movie, it looks like one or a few hit a submarine, but several missed and stayed there fore a lot of years, until Brice dropped the torpedo on them.
The concern she shows at the beginning for the fish... this is the Circle of Life. Many fish or sea creatures are eaten as eggs, right after they are born, or at some point in their life. There are entire schools of predators that travel to the areas where fish spawn each cycle just to eat them. The entire ocean is basically one massive buffet and graveyard.
@@krispurdy78 Whales actually don't eat fish; they eat plankton, which are teeny tiny creatures that drift with the currents. (Orcas, so-called "killer whales," do eat fish, but they're not really whales. They're actually a type of dolphin!)
great movie.. Bruce the white shark well we know where he got his name..lol While making the movie jaws they used to call the animatronic shark Bruce... One of my cichlids I named Bruce because he had a attitude problem ,,He grew into a pretty big fish about 13 inches long 2.5 lbs had him for 15 years Give or take a few months..Such a smart fish he used to let me pet him... you try to touch his gravel You would get a nice bite .. Never drawing blood of course...but it sure hurt...lol He was always aware of everybody in the room that he could see.. The only drawback he was super aggressive to other fish mainly other species like himself.. so I had a fairly large tank about 125 gallons just for him with a few other fish that he would get along with he was a Texas Cichlid one of the only Cichlids found in North America. Also had many other different fish too many to really list

5:34 Imagine this scene in theaters. I remember many children crying.
I turn 48 in two months and "Mt. Wannahockaloogie" still makes me chuckle.
Nigel is voiced by Geoffrey Rush, who played in "The King's Speech" and was Captain Barbossa in "Pirates of the Caribbean".

This is possibly my favourite Disney Pixar movie
Why do I always seem to get dust in my eyes during the first five minutes of a Pixar movie?

Thanks for a non-horror post. As someone who doesn't like horror that much I don't have a lot to watch on TH-cam at this time of year.
I love how awkward her introductions are XD
That isn't dark, that's Disney. If you're an animated animal couple in a Disney film, one of you isn't going to make it through the movie.
Disney has been dark before.. Try watching Bambi, Fox and the Hound, the finale musical act of Fantasia.. Then we'll talk about dark cartoon disney.
