Fun little fact, in case no one has mentioned it already: "Bruce" the shark, was the name of the shark in the movie "Jaws". Well, that is what the filming crew named the mechanical shark. The fact that the shark in this movie is called "bruce" is a nod to "Jaws".

I was deep in the mountains of Afghanistan and we were negotiating with a small tribe on top of a mountain for something that's not important to the story. We had to wait for a while for stuff to arrive and it was getting dark. We had brought a small generator and I had my computer bag with me. I fired up my laptop and connected it to a mini projector and set it up to show the film on the side of one of their buildings. We all sat down and just started watching and pretty soon the kids all came over to see what we were looking at and then they sat down, having never seen any sea creatures before. The other adults all came over and started watching as well. Here we were in the middle of nowhere in Afghanistan and I managed to get the kids and adults to laugh through the film. It's one of my favorite accomplishments. I'm glad you all liked this film too!

Since you gals are too young, as well as from another country, I need to explain that the sea turtle, Crush, was using the terminology of surfer talk, thus all the "dude", "for sure", etc.
At the start during the boat scene when Nemo swims out, as a kid I thought "Wow, Nemo's in trouble" but as an adult I always think "Marlin, stop being a coward and chase after your son." And then the diver shows up and its too late

I liked it when someone went on the internet summed up Finding Nemo something like this: "After surviving an attack from a serial killer that knocks him unconscious, brutally murders his wife, and permanently cripples their son, the main character moves to a safer place and strives to be the best parent he can while raising his now lame boy to manhood. However, After a cruel twist of fate his growing son is abducted on his first day of school, Forcing him to race against time and all the odds as he pursues the kidnapper for hundreds of miles, running into many dangerous and strange characters along the way, all while relying heavily on a mentally disabled woman he just met in an effort to get his son back." There is an interesting theory about the film that could even be true. The theory goes that Nemo never existed and Marlin just made him up of his mind, the whole film is nothing more than a metaphor for how Marlin undergoes therapy after the death of his wife and all children and falls into a deep depression and dies along with it Faced with phases of his depression In the first phase of depression, Marlin imagines a family member that he clings to in order not to accept the truth that his entire family is dead.He imagines Nemo from hai mind. He always treats Nemo like a little child and never wants to leave him alone - this is a metaphor for the fact that Marlin himself never leaves the house and hardly wants to talk to other fish to fight his depression He then loses his imaginary son, as he once lost his wife and all his children in the great wide sea. A metaphor for going out into the outside world one day and being confronted with his fears again He then meets Dori, who is very forgetful Dori is his therapist here who wants to help him with his depression and wants to show him the truth that Nemo is just his imagination. Marlin should therefore forget Nemo during the course of the therapy and turn back to real life, which he permanently rejects In order to achieve this, Dori confronts him in therapy with all his fears such as the sharks Bruce, Hammer and Hard. Just as Marlins family was once wiped out by sharks, Marlin is supposed to face his fears here in therapy. Since the sharks are initially friendly, Marlin accepts them until his memories come back and he remembers the loss again. This is the moment where Bruce chases Dori and Marlin. He then manages to overcome his fear of sharks by making Mines explode and the sharks flee Then comes the scene where Dori and Marlin fight the frogfish deep in the darkness. This is a metaphor for penetrating even deeper into Marlin's subconscious and completely destroying all his fears Then come the jellyfish and the turtles where Marlin slowly starts to become happy again in the film and talks about his son. A metaphor for the fact that the therapy is working and he is slowly finding his way back to his normal life je goes out in the world and meet other fish At the end there is another confrontation in the film. Marlin finds his son in the dentist's office and loses him again. A metaphor for him being put to the test again as to whether he can really break away from his psychosis and finally let go of Nemo. Of course he doesn't make it and in the sewers he looks for his son, who doesn't exist. The sewer, as dark as it is, shows that Marlin is slowly falling back into depression as he is unable to free himself from his bad memories This is a metaphor for a relapse that failed therapy and he thinks again that he has a son that he has to protect At the end when Nemo frees the fish and says goodbye to his father. Once the therapy is over and has worked, Marlin again imagines that his son died in the rescue operation, Marlin finally accepts that his son does not exist and that it was not Nemo who saved the fish, but himself. The rescue operation is a metaphor for Marlin being with him is confronted with a danger that his son wants to prevent. In the end, however, its Marlin who saves the fish and he let his son go Afterwards, Nemo lies unconscious on the floor - this is the moment where Marlin fully accepts that his son never existed. At the end of the film you see him talking to other fish, which shows that he can lead a normal life again for a few months without psychosis or depression. At the very end, Marlin says goodbye to his son again. A metaphor for him going to his family's grave again and finally accepting that his family is dead and that there never was a Nemo Another clue is the title of the Film Finding Nemo Nemo is Latin and means no one So the Movie saus, that Marlin is, searching for no one because Nemo does, not exist
I know the moral of the story was that Marlin should not be an overprotective parent, but remember.... HIS WIFE AND ALL OF HIS KIDS GOT EATEN ALIVE BY A F*CKING DEMON BARRACUDA!!!!!
Such a good movie about a father whose family was slaughtered with one, sole remaining child that was kidnapped and was then sought out by said father with the help of a mentally disabled woman across the world. ❤

Afterwards, Nemo lies unconscious on the floor - this is the moment where Marlin fully accepts that his son never existed. At the end of the film you see him talking to other fish, which shows that he can lead a normal life again for a few months without psychosis or depression. At the very end, Marlin says goodbye to his son again. A metaphor for him going to his family's grave again and finally accepting that his family is dead and that there never was a Nemo
Another clue is the title of the Film
Finding Nemo
Nemo is Latin and means no one
So the Movie saus, that Marlin is, searching for no one because Nemo does, not exist
39:32 the fish are called groupers
Finding Nemo (2003)
Finding Dory (2016)
I recommend Brother Bear that movie is so slept on but it’s one of the greatest Disney movies
I 100% would be the pothead sea turtle
Cheers and relax
🐢
Just watch Lilo & Stitch and you will understand it's a Disney movie
You ain't gotta lie to kick it.
It's easier to find a Nemo then it is to find a Waldo
Who's Waldo ?
@@a.g.demada5263 a better question is where’s Waldo?
@@timy9197 I don't think you understood my question. I asked who is Waldo.
The Classic movies of Disney are timeless ❤
I know it's inappropriate, but whenever I see that barracuda, the first thing that comes to my mind is that song, "Ooh, Barracuda."
You means, in the Claude François' song ?
LOL SAME😂
The Heart song, right? Now that's all I'm gonna think of whenever that scene shows up, thanks 😂
Don't forget said child was adopted by complete strangers with some being mentally unstable and was coerced into doing a dangerous escape plan from their prison.
still can't believe this was 20 years ago... holy moly
This movie 👍😊 and the second part "Finding Dory" are even better
Cheers
26:39 sorry if this is a bad spot to say this (visual wise) but the purple guy that’s outta focus is such a Monica…(if you’ve seen the show F.R.I.E.N.D.S…. you’ll know what I’m talking about ( if not, she’s a neat freak too))😊😊😊
25:02 Did Michelle just do a clear English accent?

8:25 hello Bruce

9:53 this dog is soooo Sweet I want to cuddle him 🫶❤️💖🩷

@@ericlima8058 sim 🥰❤️ sempre!!! 🥰👏❤️🇧🇷
I watch finding Nemo when I was a child and kid and I used to watch it all the time long time ago
Dory is very special: she must be the first Disney character with a serious mental disorder.
But ladies, seriously, you haven't watched Nemo before… what movies have you seen before your reactions, then? Did you watch any movies at all? :)
Yes, you're right
@@a.g.demada5263 not buying it anymore.
My older sister's kiddos love this place in Disneyland and I went out of my way to make sure they saw one of the fireworks shows during Christmas I'm in one of the commercials and one of the funny part is I was so lit up with lights because I was so over-the-top I look like a Lite-Brite because dressed up like Stitch from Lilo & Stitch with light switch is cracking up everybody_ it's my favorite Disney movie besides 101 Dalmatians_ Lilo and Stitch the alien dog
Fun fact is called life the only way you can experience it is by living your best life_ just try your hardest to live your best life
10:08 What the sharks said about our human nature are 100% true. Only some are cruel enough to cause our beloved species to become endangered to extinct. 😢💔
