Im with my mom at hospice and the nurse says she has hours to days left. Please pray anybody. She's a Christian. Last Sunday she was found unresponsive in a rehab facility and rushed to ER. Spent the week in ICU and now is here. Thank you 😢

❤Mom of 3- 40, 39, & 36. I’m 63 . Very few things were discussed or mentioned as part of pregnancy and birth, real talk with your spouse, etc… when I had my children. Thank you Kristen for being real and laying it out there as normal and helping young mommas get through a very beautiful and challenging season . God bless you and your family ❤

I am 55 and a mother of three. I had 3 babies by the time I was 21. No one had talked to me about sex I wish someone had said things before and after. I wouldn't change having my children for a moment but I did talk to my children by the time they were 12 and my daughter at 11. Women should talk to each other and help when we can. Thank you for sharing! It will help women

I just want to add that we recently took in a foster child and while this is our fifth it has been the hardest adjustment of any of our children. I wish my church and our friends would have offered the same amount of help as when we had our own, biological babies. This adjustment was sudden and drastic and meant adding a child who we didn’t know into our established family. Just my thoughts…😊

Thanks for sharing your experiences for new moms. I’m a grandmother now and I tried to share enough with my daughter to inform with honest information but not to scare! My mom shared nothing and never offered to help. With my first I was alone and scared, discouraged and thought I was doing everything wrong. I didn’t even use pacifiers because my mom’s opinion was that was wrong.

Yes yes yes! If you are married, and are physically able to, please consider having children sooner rather than later. It will change your life for the better!! And like Kristen said, there is a difference between having a child in your twenties and in your thirties and even fourties. Childbirth takes a toll on your body and your brain and the older you are the harder it is to recover. Having children is a blessing and not a curse like society is painting it these days. Your life is not over when you have kids, in fact your life will not truly start until you have kids. I said what I said. I know there are some women out there that can’t have kids or that can’t find a husband, I get it. But they are the very few. For the rest of you, please take family seriously and children as a blessing. They truly are a blessing from the Lord.

Don’t worry too much about the pain from breastfeeding when the milk “ lets down “ -that term is different from the reference of the milk coming in BTW. I always experienced a slight tingling sensation the entire year during let down but never pain with that. There is the kind of pain that happens as the result of a bad latch. So learn what to do when that happens. You don’t want to make things worse by pulling the babies mouth away instinctively or out of reflex. You want to break the seal somewhat FIRST

  • @karenjackson594
    @karenjackson594 12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

I had 4 babies and I am now 61. The tearing I had with my first one, I had no idea about how to breath or any of that, and when I nursed my nipples got engorged with the first 3 with fevers and the pain was horrible but I did push thru it and eventually it went away. I also cannot lift anything heavy or run or jump without leaking so I have to always wear a pad. I didn't start leaking until my youngest was 2. My first 3 were bigger babies and my first husband would not let me get any epideral so it was really bad. Those are a few of the the negatives but the positives are those 4 special babies that are so loved and precious, I would do it all over again. I always enjoy your videos Kristen. I love that you are a christian mom doing what is right for your girls. I look forward to your next video.

I'm sorry, your husband should not have the decision on your medication on delivery. I'm living separate from my husband because he felt he had control over me in all things. That is not Christ like love. Some churches really have distorted what being submissive is.

Rosie is so happy today smiling away!!! She's really a doll! I had a natural birth with one and c-section with the other, I gotta say I was so fortunate with both! I had an hour and a half of labor with each child. I liked the c-section better lol because I wasn't sore down there. I was a very young mother age 21 so maybe that helped but for me childbirth was a breeze! I know that is not the story for so many. You gave some good advice Kristen!

Something I was told after having baby number five (after a bad week of crying )is babies have free will just the same as us and they can cry just because they want to cry there doesn’t have to be a reason. We will do it at some point so why not a baby? It sounds silly, but I never actually thought of it like that until I was told it.

I love that you said that about a messy house. I posted a clean with me video and 2025 goals. People commented how my house was messy and made mean comments. So i deleted it because I really didn't want to hear people tell me I was lazy. It made me feel horrible. When my daughter is awake she wants my full attention, only child who doesn't like to be alone, and that is hard to clean with and have my own personal time. And I'm an introvert so me time is very important. But Im so glad you said that. Thank you!

Keisten, I will be 64 in a few months and I breastfed my 2 children, but you spoke about the milk "letdown". have 2 "etdown" stories, unfortunately both happened at CHURCH! We had a young age church mostly newlyweds and young married, so we had 12 babies 1 and under in our baby nursery, and one Sunday I was chatting with some men and women after church and I had a BEAUTIFUL lavender dress on, and suddenly a woman my age touched my arm and looked at my :front" and my milk had let down and I had 2 HUGE wet spots ON mt dress. I went to the baby nursery bathroom and my husband ( fortunately) ran the few blocks home and got me fresh clothing.... another time a baby in the nursery began crying ( it wasn't my child) but I was sitting in the back row and I was able to get to restroom as my milk letdown!!! The tearing is REAL! I needed episiotomy with each of my boys because they came quickly.....Sex after episiotomy and MENO are a totally dofferent animal!!!!

My daughters are both grown. One has seven kids of her own. The other has fur babies. But she does have one of my granddaughters and her baby staying with her. He just started daycare. He now has an ear infection. He’s six months old, and a sweetheart. I didn’t breast feed either one of my girls. With the first one I had what was called toxemia, it’s preeclampsia now. I ate two tacos and gained three pounds. And my blood pressure was really high. So the first one was induced. And I hadn’t been able to eat anything it’s salt for a month or so before I was induced. All I could think of was eating a pizza. So I didn’t want to watch everything I ate to breast feed her. The second one was so easy. She came ten days late. I went to the hospital and she was born forty minutes later. I had mostly back pain. No hard contractions. But I still bottle fed her too. My husband was laid off work when she was born. So he would go get me a bottle and I just fed her then put her back in the bassinet. I had both my girls by the time I was 22. I had my tubes tied at 23. The doctor didn’t want to do it. But I didn’t want to be on birth control. And I knew I did t need anymore kids. I am the youngest of seven. And my mom had me at 37. My oldest daughter has all the kids. She was a grandmother at 44 and she had a two year old at the time. I have grandkids from 26 to 3. And two great grandsons who are both little.

Is it ok for Lily to sleep with her beautiful headband on? I worry it could slip down her head! Kristen I can’t wait for your videos to come on. You are the best one I follow. Thank you for sharing and all 25 are perfect suggestions/advice.🥰 I breast fed and yes my toes curled for the first 2 months but it was the best bonding time and I loved every minute of it!

I had my first boy when I was 23 and my second 4 months ago at 27 and I had a full tubal during my c section. All done with babies here 😂 but even just from the 3.5 year difference in my boys I notice a different in how I feel and how much more tired I am. I had HG with both boys, an emergency c section with the first, planned with the second but I went into labor at 37 weeks and had another c section and both of them the anesthesia didn't work and I felt the whole surgeries. So I am absolutely done 😅

My beloved grandmother, my best friend, birthed her youngest child at age 45. She lived to be 98! When she was in the hospital after the birth of her last of nine boys and one lone girl, she heard the unkind whispers of her nurses around her saying that he was such a poor baby to have such an old mother! I hope those nurses were made aware when my remarkable grandmother became Mother-of-the-Year for the state of VA in 1966! Btw, her daughter became a Catholic nun! 😂

I don’t remember having after birth contractions. But the no pee challenge is real. 😂😂

I wish someone had told me about the after birth pains that come on after you are home and hurt worse than labor pains. I took 3 Tylenol and fell asleep and they were gone after that.

In the newborn trenches currently. How long until they let you sleep more than 2 hours at a time? What I would do for a 4 hour chunk!

Coming from a grandma, the sooner you have a baby, the sooner Grandma may be able to help and the longer they can have them in their life.

I had my babies in the 1980's and I breastfed like you. Anywhere and a loose shirt that I could just lift slightly and maybe a light receiving blanket.

I’m so happy you breast feed better for baby easier than bottles

Got a bladder sling (surgery) in my late forties, had one baby at 33. It is super common to have bladder leakage. The surgery was so worth it.

I JUST LOVE THAT ROOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is lovely like you. I didn't know a thing when I had my first so I depended on Dr. Stock or whatever his name was. It was the English way to raise kids and some were good and some were bad, but because my mom didn't get down on the floor and play with us, I didn't know how to either and didn't and I sure wish I had. I wish I hadn't been such a stark go by the rules mom and more of a sister to the girls. I tore too from one end to the other and I didn't get the heat lamp to heal like the other women at the hospital. The 2nd baby I had at home, just me and my hub, a Marine who had delivered babies in Vietnam under fire and also angus cow babies in FFA.

Great tips! Mama of four littles over here and just to add my two cents, if a new mom is scared of nursing, sometimes it doesn’t hurt moms much at all! I had a few phases/weeks with a couple of mine (but not more than a month for sure) where I dealt with various things that caused pain. But it was short-lived. The benefits for a baby are amazing if you can do it. So don’t be afraid of nursing 🩷 🙃
