Just an FYI, we dont care if your beds aren’t made or your makeup isn’t done, or heck, if you’re in your pjs. This IS real life, i love your content. And the feeling of moms doing it or it doesn’t get done (right-ish) is totally relatable. I had those feelings when my hubs and i were raising 3 boys. This too shall pass. Also, you are such a sweet wife, i would have dragged all my hubs stuff out of the closet and said, go through this now- i cant take it! LOL I have learned over time that is not the way to go. Keep on keepin on!💕
I enjoy the decluttering content! I make my kids get their rooms "Mommy clean" at least once a week (nothing on the floor, including closets, under bed, etc). Just a suggestion to help you avoid things getting left undone until you intervene and feel overwhelmed. 😊
Kristin, I cracked up at Ruby’s “prayer” for God to help you and Josh with your fighting. Literally, when you have kids, you have no secrets! Although, we know God honors all prayers-big or small. 😃 Ruby is a doll!
So...my husband has Covid + we watched church on TH-cam today. After lunch I started watching a few TH-cam videos I like including yours. When I watched yours I got inspired to do a few minor things in the house. I folded up 3 Christmas blankets we had hanging over the banister longer than usual to help with recent cold cold weather. Put those away along with a large Christmas candle. Then I had another candle that had to be dealt with. Tidyed, cleaned + sanitized the kitchen counters. Then I started the oven to bake a rice chicken dish for supper. I went to sit down + started to watch Shannon Torres TH-cam. She was cleaning also. My husband decided he would try to walk outside since being sick since Tuesday + been cooped up.. So I immediately got up + vacuumed the whole main floor + got laundry out of washer. Now I will be back to Shannon after typing this. I'm close to age 80 + I love watching you young Moms. Reminds me of my young days raising our 2 children. You are a delightful sweet gal Kristin as is Shannon. I do enjoy your decluttering. God bless. Gran
Kristen, I really enjoy your videos. Please continue to do the decluttering and organizing ones. I love how you show real life messes and the humor you interject into your content. I'm old enough to be your mother, but you motivate me and inspire me with these down to earth vlogs!
❤❤❤❤ hi Kristen! I really hope you see this comment. My best advice for you and your daughter‘s closet is to nest the suitcases inside of each other. You can absolutely fit that small pink suitcase in the larger black suitcase. Also put that bag inside the small pink suitcase. You don’t need to store all those suitcases and bags out on their own nest them inside of each other this is a huge space saver. Hopefully you see this comment and try it out. It is a total game changer!😊😊😊😊
I love these kinds of videos and how real you are. I don’t enjoy videos where everything looks and seems so perfect, I can’t relate to them. Your daughters are so sweet and precious. May God bless your beautiful family!!
Shoe shaming Josh was the funniest thing I have watched in a while. Now that is a great way to get your husband to downsize. I needed motivation to declutter and this makes me want too! Thank You!
Girl I love a good honest video like this not a Pinterest video! I come to YT to feel normal and not like a failure so thank you!! A couple weeks ago my middle son moved out and I decided to make his room my gym. While setting it up I opened a main hall closet and everything fell out 😂wasn’t on my list that day but got it done and feel so much better! My hubby is the same as Josh! In fact I moved my clothes down to my gym so that my husband could have mine and have 2 closets 🤦♀️🤦♀️😂
You did so good decluttering. I struggle with letting things go this was very motivating seeing the end result of how calm a space can look and feel after just letting a few things go and organizing what you need and want to keep. TFS
You are very inspiring I’m enjoying all your videos I love watching the declutter after Christmas it’s so satisfying. I’m in the process of moving and I’m being very ruthless on decluttering it is extremely liberating but also extremely stressful 😩
I’m sitting here eating chips and watching you organize and declutter…but I’m cheering you on! However, our 13 week old puppy who is NEVER still can’t stop watching you! He is snuggled on the couch with me and mesmerized! 😅
You are motivating me to get the inside of my home fully organized and clean so I am ready to spend most of my time in my flower garden this spring. Love your videos!
Hi Kristen! I have a similar vintage hairbrush but mine is from the 1970s. When I was little my mom used her hairbrush to brush my hair & 1 day I just took it. I haven't found another that I like as much 😊
How I look forward to your videos--no matter what the content is. It's YOU that I just LOVE. Videos have varied content and your sense of humor is fun and so real, plus I enjoy visiting with your loving family.
Always love seeing you. I'm the same way as you. I can only do so much. If I'm doing special cleaning, some routine things have to go. Maybe sandwiches for dinner or eat out, one or the other in addition to other things I have to let go.
Kristen, I am almost 64 and I have used a kitchen timer for DECADES to use when cleaning....Like you, the ticking helps me... I did daycare for many years and I actually trained a little girl at naptime with the timer. When she was 2 her mommy took her binky away and she only got it for naps, so about 9 am each morning she wanted to go "for nappy" so she could have her binky... The children didn;t go down for nap until noon so at 11 am I would set the timer and told her when it "DINGED" IT WAS NAPPY TIME... I would bring the timer into the kitchen as she ate her lunch and I would say "Mattie, I am setting the nappy timer and when it dings it is nappy time" It took her like 4 days and when the timer dinged she would throw her little hands in the air and say 'NAPPY TIME". sHE ONLY HAD HER BINKY FOR ABOUT A MONTH AFTER THAT AND SHE FORGOT ALL ABOUT NEEDING IT...
I have a suggestion for you in your closet for the shoes. My husband and I both have a Whitmor wood stackable 2 shelf shoe rack. Walmart use to carry them in store, not sure if they still do, but you can find them online. They are around $30, they are small enough to not take up a lot of space. It says you can organize at least 9 pairs of shoes, but I am able to get more since I stack my sandles/ flipflops on top of each other. We also use them to organizer other items, like shirts/pants. The possibilities are endless. LOL Thanks for sharing.
Kristen, I'm really enjoying your videos! I'm not a new mom, infact, my kids have "flown the coop" 😂 but I still enjoy your channel & over on patreon also! I just love your honesty! This type of video, in particular, I enjoyed for good spring cleaning motivation! I need to go clean out my closet now 🤔 lol Thanks for sharing!
I love organizing and decluttering videos and really enjoyed this one. I would like to offer a suggestion for your closet and shoe storage. Take advantage of the vertical space under your clothes. Walmart offers an expandable 4-tier shoe rack for under $20 (at least mine does) and will hold up to 20 pairs of shoes when fully expanded. You could probably fit two in your closet, and it helps keep your shoes from ending up in a pile on the floor. Keep inspiring others. :)
I've been organizing my husband's hoarding clutter for 43yrs. I wind up decluttering most of my stuff bcuz he won't let go of his. It will drive you crazy if you can't negotiate with him to let go of so much stuff. I daydream of one day having a tiny minimalist house!!!!
I went through the same thing with my husband, I finally told him if you don't go through everything than I will and you won't have anything left if I do it,he finally did and got 3 big garbage bags to donate, and last week he cleaned the garage out and he's actually happy with it and so am I.
My husband is so messy and disorganized that I get rid of stuff I know he’ll never use when he’s out of the house, and he never misses it. Of course you can only do so much or he would notice, but it does keep it more manageable.
I’ve used a timer as long as I can remember. Each day after my coffee, I tidy for 7 minutes in each room. It makes a huge difference when it comes to cleaning day! My kids are long grown up and out of the home, but I still set it for 7 minutes and sometimes finish early! I need to declutter my bathroom now, thanks for the inspiration!
I hear ya girl! I am blessed that my husband and I each, have our closets and his is way more organized than mine ( drawers too) he does most of the laundry is his folding is beautiful! ( maybe cause he was in the military, yrs ago?) HOWEVER he is attached to things he regards as sentimental. Which can be anything from a spoon, drinking glass, rock or pen.
Hi Kristen. There is only two of us..me and my husband. Our house is a forties house and we have one closet. Sometimes it looks like ten people are using it. It gets messy. Thanks for showing us real life. I think I will declutter my purses. I don’t have name brands but have some real leather and different colored ones…but something about 2025…want to get rid of stuff and streamline. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Just a fyi, no wipe is truly flushable. That's from a plumber! You have an old house so old pipes are not made for wipes.... your declutters are inspiring, I am trying to do the same thing.

Hi Kristen, Ruby is the cutest! I want to try the AG1 sometime soon. I need the pre and probiotics so much! I understand about cleaning up after your husband and wanting to honor the things he cares about. My husband has a sailing hobby, and that stuff is everywhere! Dooney and Bourke is my favorite! Thank you for sharing the decluttering with us! Always my inspiration!
Always an inspiration Kristen. You are so enjoyable to watch. You're a great mom, wife and friend. Love ya! 😊❤😊❤😊no worries about what's in the background okay?.?. One day those kiddos will pop out of bed and make their own beds, then before you know it, they're off to their own lives with their own beds & all the stuff to do. Grace, Kristen, Grace. You know you deserve His Grace, so please give yourself some Grace. In the big scheme of things, unmade beds, cluttered closets, lots of shoes...it really doesn't matter. Although, I know the clutter can and will become so stressful. Little tip, teach/train everyone to put things back where they go. I know easier said than done. But think about how many times a day you spend on just picking up after everyone. Teaching them now will instill in them the value of an organized space, and how much less stress there is when everything is in its place. Yes, let them play, but I know you remember the Barney song, clean up, clean up. Just some thoughts from a retired teacher, grandma of 9, and mom of 3 grownup kids. Love ya! God bless you & yours. 😊❤😊❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I like all your Christmas cards on the fridge. Sometimes we save them and pull them out through the year to use as a prompt to pray for our friends and family. 🤗
We put them on the back of the front door (roll a piece of masking tape and stick it on the back of the card. It doesn’t take off the paint!) and also pray for the families. When people visit, they love to look at them too!
So funny, as you introduced your Ag1, I was sipping on mine. I started Ag1 almost a year ago and I have never felt better. Love your videos, Kristen. You have a beautiful family.
I really love how you think through each item and then easily let go of the things that don’t make sense or you don’t need. Thank you for the motivation! Loved the things the girls made on the fridge! Priceless! Do you save those and put them in a scrapbook, take photos of them or what do you do with all the things the girls make? (You could make a video on that if you’re out of ideas one day!!)
Hi Kristen!I always love to see your beautiful🎉 face and family!!!You are such a great gal and a wonderful mommy!! Closets are the worst, but when they are neat and inviting it's a great feeling of satis satisfaction!!Have a great week!😁🙏❤
Save those little letters, cos at 47 my son laughs at the spelling and such. They are precious. Lol I have about 1/3 of a reg closet and same as my husband. I have a pr sandals, pr shoes, a pair of sneakers and a pr of winter boots. I was laughing andthinking of the please help mum dad when they fight (about the closet ) lol😊looks great!
I love your videos. You are so funny and you have a great sense of humor. What I appreciate most about you is your honesty , your transparency and your love for the Lord. Kristen you have such a good ❤️ heart.
I just threw out my Birkenstocks last week; it was painful. I also just cleaned out and organized my closet last week. It made me feel like I had done something important when the weather was too bad to get out of the house.
When my kids were young, I shopped at thrift stores for their clothes..and because they were so cheap, and decent shape, I'd buy more clothes and shoes than they needed...ended up that I had way more clothes for them than they were wearing! That is how MY closets got so full!
Do you store seasonal clothing in the suitcases, just a suggestion if you don't. Also, you will be amazed, set a timer and see how long it takes to make a bed !!!!
I love the idea of using a timer to get things done👍clever. And please send my condolances to Josh for the loss of his old shoes. He was very brave😆😆My husbond has a winter coat that is litterally falling apart, but refuses to get rid of it because he ‘needs it when he is working outside’ 😬🤭same with his old boots that has holes in them. Men… you’ve gotta love their peculiarities😅❤ I loved this video.
I bought some of the larger folding cubes at walmart to put up on the closet shelves. You could put all of Josh's tshirts or socks in. They hide the mess and look nice when you open the closet. I did the same with my linens.😊
Kristen you’re the cutest 😁 love your momma heart and the way you honor your husband. Please link your green half zip…I’m on the hunt for a good one and keep striking out!
Hey there Kristen 🤗 I LOVE these type of videos!!! U r a girl after my own ❤ seriously I love when everything is clean & organized 👍🏼 I also live n an old home but mine is small w/ really dinky closets. I have upstair closets good but need to tackle basement closets 🤪 I feel ur pain w/ Josh not liking to throw stuff away my husband is the same :( I loved the girls notes on the fridge they were so funny 😂 I think ur a super woman, wife & mama so keep up the good work!!!! 🥰
As classy and as uniform as all wood hangers look, they can be about three times the thickness of plastic hangers. If you use plastic hangers you will be able to fit more things into your bedroom closet. It is a matter of practicality over aesthetics. Also, smaller suitcases will fit inside bigger suitcases. They don't all need their individual spots in a closet.
I need to do exactly what you've done, and tackle my wardrobe, I've been putting it off for months and although I can't wait for it to be done, I know I need to get rid of at least half of what's in there. Decision's, decision's, hate having to make them, what stays and what goes 😢. By the way you have a lovely home, even though the beds weren't made. On another note, would it be possible to show us how you style your hair one day, from wet to how you wear it, because it's really nice, and one love to do mine similar, but just can't figure it out, would be really thankful. Take care, see you soon...🥰🇬🇧🐾🐾🏡❄️💞
FYI: Those brimmed “Western hats” or as some say “cowboy hats” should ALWAYS be stored upside down to preserve the brim’s shape. My husband’s family were long time employees (50+ years) at Luskey’s Western Store located in the Stockyards of Fort Worth, Texas.
No, no you're absolutely correct! My daughter and I were saying that if we decide to work on those areas that normally get seldom touched than the main areas take a back seat. That's just reality. As moms we may have "eyes on the back of our heads" but we DO NOT have 8 arms! LOL! Even Hilary over @OldWOrldHome, once showed what things look like " behind the camera" after she gets one space cleared.
I just went thru my closet to get rid of some clothes. I need to get rid of more but I was happy to get rid of what I did. Oh my goodness! That is a lot of shoes!
hey girl- loved the video! 😁 Great cleaning and organizing Kristen😉 Question- What in the world happened to those toothbrushes?😜 and oh my word all of those shoes-😆 Love ya. Y'all have a blessed week🥰
I hate cleaning out closets, but I just did that last month they look good, I purged a bunch of stuff. I am like you I don't have very many clothes or shoes. I limit myself. I think you would like clear bins they are life savers or shoes and smaller things. God bless Kristen
I feel lighter after a big purge! I can’t remember ever regretting letting things go! My hubs is a shoe hoarder, I try hard to ignore his area. I’m motivated to talk to him about getting rid of a few pairs. 🤦♀️😅
OMG, I LOVE your "super bath" idea, thank you! We're always (involuntarily) accruing those yucky bath items and usually just donate them then I feel like the bad guy to my daughter, for getting rid of them.
For myself, I found that if there are too many steps to put something away, e.g. I need to move 3 or 4 things to put my original thing back in it's place, then I'm less likely to put that thing back where it was supposed to go. When I look at your husbands closet space, I wonder if he's similar in that way. For his pants and hats, if it's set up where he's supposed to move things to put other things away, perhaps this is keeping him from keeping his space tidy. Obviously decluttering will help a lot, but after that, maybe find a way to store those things where he can just set things and go.

I am so grateful to have you as part of my community!
I love that idea!
So funny, as you introduced your Ag1, I was sipping on mine. I started Ag1 almost a year ago and I have never felt better. Love your videos, Kristen. You have a beautiful family.
That is awesome!
Kristen, you have such a beautiful home
I try to live intentionally in every area of my life!
I usually keep them in a folder!
I love Zac Top!!!!! Great video.❤
You are so resilient and motivational ❤️
Thank you so much!!
Hi Kristen!I always love to see your beautiful🎉 face and family!!!You are such a great gal and a wonderful mommy!! Closets are the worst, but when they are neat and inviting it's a great feeling of satis satisfaction!!Have a great week!😁🙏❤

Great job cleaning! Love it. ❤
Wow, you know how to declutter. Kristen good for you
It’s so satisfying, right?
Save those little letters, cos at 47 my son laughs at the spelling and such. They are precious. Lol I have about 1/3 of a reg closet and same as my husband. I have a pr sandals, pr shoes, a pair of sneakers and a pr of winter boots. I was laughing andthinking of the please help mum dad when they fight (about the closet ) lol😊looks great!
Your closets look great! Now I need to tackle mine.😂
I appreciate you showing us the mess so I can relate! 🙂
Awesome job! I have a Hard time Decluttering but as soon as it gets Spring time! Iam starting!❤❤❤❤❤❤🐶🐱🐱
Great video! I always look forward to watching your videos!
That means so much to me!
Great job! You did really awesome cleaning out & organizing 😊 I know how much time it takes , thanks for Sharing🥰
Kristen,
Your closets looks great.
A+ on your room resets!😊
Thanks so much, I hope it helps!
You’re a gem! Awesome video ❤️
Thank you so much!!
I like to put suitcases inside of suitcases to save space. You may already be doing that. If not, it might be something you could try 😊
I loved this video!
Good morning beautiful! I love your videos SO much!!! ❤
I bought some of the larger folding cubes at walmart to put up on the closet shelves. You could put all of Josh's tshirts or socks in. They hide the mess and look nice when you open the closet. I did the same with my linens.😊
I was cleaning with you. Thank you honey. Keep going, your doing great💛
Kristen you’re the cutest 😁 love your momma heart and the way you honor your husband. Please link your green half zip…I’m on the hunt for a good one and keep striking out!
I thrifted it years ago! It's Ralph Lauren.
Hey there Kristen 🤗 I LOVE these type of videos!!! U r a girl after my own ❤ seriously I love when everything is clean & organized 👍🏼 I also live n an old home but mine is small w/ really dinky closets. I have upstair closets good but need to tackle basement closets 🤪 I feel ur pain w/ Josh not liking to throw stuff away my husband is the same :(
I loved the girls notes on the fridge they were so funny 😂 I think ur a super woman, wife & mama so keep up the good work!!!! 🥰
Yes! Thank you!
Looks good!😊
The sad music with the shoes 🤣🤣 thank you for the motivation!!! ❤
It’s all about the small wins, right? 😊
Enjoyed.
Following closely, because getting ready to move after 43 years in the same house!
😊❤❤❤❤. You are doing great!
We need to this hair tutorial!
It's easy to change out the buckles on the white Birkenstocks.💞
I wish that I had known the value of decluttering when I was a young mom!
Yes I made the error of purchasing all timber ones and you are so right ! I kept some for heavy items but that’s it
I switched from the plastic ones to the skinny velvet ones and I have more room in my closet, they really are a space saver.
You are so organized! I tend to get attached to some things as well!😬
FYI: Those brimmed “Western hats” or as some say “cowboy hats” should ALWAYS be stored upside down to preserve the brim’s shape. My husband’s family were long time employees (50+ years) at Luskey’s Western Store located in the Stockyards of Fort Worth, Texas.
I’m going to keep that in mind!
I love Hilary’s channel and I totally agree with you. Multitasking as a mom is tough!
It feels good to get that done, right?!
I LOVE to organize!😄
Me too! It’s so satisfying!
I feel lighter after a big purge! I can’t remember ever regretting letting things go! My hubs is a shoe hoarder, I try hard to ignore his area. I’m motivated to talk to him about getting rid of a few pairs. 🤦♀️😅
Good for you! I'm working on the same thing.
OMG, I LOVE your "super bath" idea, thank you! We're always (involuntarily) accruing those yucky bath items and usually just donate them then I feel like the bad guy to my daughter, for getting rid of them.
It feels so good to get rid of the stuff we don't need, right?!
Hi Kristen, don't know if you've done this before but can you advice on how you purchase toys for kids as they can be expensive.
That’s a great idea! I think I’m going to try that in my closet.
