I wish that Mojang would implement the Wandering Trader rebalancing now while they continue to work on the other villagers. It is about time that Wandering Traders become more than just a source of Leads and Leather…
What rebalance were they suppose to get?
yeah I love the wandering trader rebalance
I cam get mushrooms and some new saplings but other than that I usually kill them
Well when I suggested it it got deleted due to being already announced features nothing new
this, the only time i ever bother checking their trades is when ive just started a world and need all the different saplings.
you should be able to power a copper door to lock it
That's actually genius
Omg yeeeees!
And then anyone can break with a pickaxe ☝️ 🤓
@@polarfalcao2710 yes but it's useful for adventure maps and it's just a cool feature. Not everything has to be the most useful thing ever
You’ve said that you think the copper door looks like it has a key hole, but to me it looks like a hanging handle. (A pull handle shaped like a door knocker.)
Another important myth: No, hardcore mode is still not available on Minecraft Bedrock. It is only in the Preview/Beta. :)
the heavy core is about a one in ten chance from a ominous vault
Was there any reason given as to why it still isn't avaliable?
@@DogFace_3000 Yes. Toycat has mentioned it a bit in streams and shorts. Mojang wants to resolve some major bugs that can cause unfair deaths before officially releasing hardcore mode. That might not be the only reason, but it's the one Toycat has emphasized from the Mojang blog post.
I'm honestly more worried at how rare wind burst will be, rather than the mace itself
I agree, it's way too rare, though at least now wind burst I is usable
Hasn't windburst always been usable? Its the main enchantment @hhff8534
@@aceknight6622 wind burst I used to launch you like 2 blocks. you needed wind burst III to achieve the 7 blocks wind burst I now does.
I literally got wind burst from my first chamber. Didn't even realize at the time it was hard to get
Naw I've got three wind burst 1 before I got a mace
I think the next update should be "The Enchanted Update", where they would add some features to expand on the concept of magic and enchantments. But most importantly, do some changes to the enchantment table to make it a viable option to use instead of villagers. If they roll this buff out along side the villager nerfs, it can finally balance things out between them.
Improve on more important features first
@@timohara7717 idk man, enchantments gotta be one of the most important features to me....
@@edenwayne8407 i could survive with them being flawed
@@timohara7717 Agreed
I feel like getting most of my enchants through the enchanting table and just combining level 30 enchanted gear gets me to max enchanted stuff faster and cheaper than getting all my enchantments through villagers.
I usually only get librarians for mending and to add unbreaking to my elytra (and shears/flint and steel for the flex)
They should make it so the more oxidized the copper door is, the more clicks it takes to open and the fully oxidized one needs redstone input
Too clunky, maybe option turn off
Dat would suck
Damn, I was hoping the wandering trader rebalance would get pushed separately from the librarians.
I have been so busy trying to find a perfect seed with a village near a swamp, only for ToyCat to tell me they never implemented that feature. 😆
The reason the Mace sucks now isn't because its weak... Its because now its niche (or at least more niche than it used to be). The only thing the attack cooldown accomplishes is making it impossible to use the Mace as a viable standard weapon. Now it can ONLY be used to one shot mobs by jumping off of things or using wind charges, because using it for standard combat is slower than using an axe (and switching into it from a sword doesn't work either because of the attack speed). They're too afraid of having anything come close to outclassing the basic sword.
I hate Mojang's insistence on making every new weapon have a slow cooldown for no reason... The Trident is like this too (why the heck can you throw it multiple times in quick succession, but then hitting things with it is as slow as a snail? I thought spears were supposed to be fast!). Its one of my biggest pet peeves. Just give us decently fast weapons for once Mojang! :/
There's gonna be people saying that's exactly how it's supposed to be, but I agree with you. The mace is actually much weaker on java than it is on bedrock when you compare it with other (diamond) tools. On bedrock the damage is sword>axe>mace=pickaxe>shovel>hoe, while on java, the damage per second is sword>axe>pickaxe>shovel>mace>hoe. In fact, the DPS of the mace is as good as that of a stone pickaxe, while on bedrock, it's as good as a stone sword.
The trident however is fine I think, it just needs more of a reason to be thrown with loyalty. Maybe an enchantment that increases the damage the further it travels?
the entire combat rework from 1.9 is complete crap and shouldn't have been done in the first place
@@googoofeesmithersmits4536 yeah i loooove spamming left mouse button instead of having to time my attacks
@@googoofeesmithersmits4536 1.9 did a lot of things right, like having different attack speeds. But they way it's implemented feels very restrictive and forces you to have lots og patience, which isn't always very fun.
Why would you want something to outclass the sword? Swords are a weapon just like the mace and trident. Netherite sword takes just as much effort as a mace to get.
Mojang have said that the mace is not supposed to be very good in basic combat and it's not meant to replace the sword
Just remember to back up your important in game worlds!
Will i lose them
@@Tristan_of_mkushi, there may be bugs with the release of the major update
only on bugrock
Yeah it annoys me that they prompt backups for snapshots but not releases, especially after THREE critical issues were found in 1.20 proper versions after the full release
@DoxyDog852 that's not true 1.20, 1.20.3 and 1.20.5 all had world critical issues that required a hotfix
Coper door should be immune to attacs from zombie and pilagers, than it's gona be really useful
but then iron doors are just redundant. have fun with the looks but don't expect big gameplay changes with it is what I'd say.
I wish that copper doors would withstand zombie attacks on Hard difficulty.
That would make them literally perfect
I'm currently fixing up a Datapack just in case they add in the Trading rebalance for adding Mending back
A villager wanted 63 emeralds and a book for mending when I traded ealier today
Honestly wasn't expecting the chambers to be as common as they are so far I've found 3 within 300-400 blocks of where I have my main base so its pretty nice
My main base is trial chambers
The major problem with the trading is that there's not another good option to obtain mending, so if they're going to nerf the villagers, at least they should buff the enchantment table or buff the anvil to repair your gear without spending too much xp, or they can also add a way to get more xp (maybe a new structure or buffing xp in general)
Good the new trading still needs tweaking it sucks...
why
Its very tedious to get mediocre enchants@@oliverplougmand2275
As oposed to end game gear by slavery in The first hour of The game??
@oliverplougmand2275 Well for starters it makes book trading way more of a grind than it already was. Sure the enchantments are more consistent, but now you have to go to certain biomes and maybe even do some villager breeding just for 1-3 enchantment types. That would be way more annoying than just placing a lectern and breaking it over and over again until you get what you want (in my opinion, at least). Never took me more than 30-45 mins to get all my enchantments that way, but this new trading mechanic would probably add an hour or so (depending on a variety of factors). Another issue is that some of the enchantments from villagers won't be maxxed out, so you would be forced to combine books (i.e. only being able to get sharpness 4, so you HAVE to combine 2 books to get sharpness 5, which increases the enchantment weight). This was concerning because they made no mention on if they were going to tweak the enchanting system, which they honestly need to do regardless of the villager trading changes. This means that getting max level enchantments might actually get way harder than it already is because you're going to get the "too much xp" message after having to combine so many books, potentially locking you out from getting the enchantment level you want. Even if you can get some max-level enchants that you want, you could still get locked out from putting on other enchants because the weight has been increased so much from all the combining. There's more efficient ways to combine, but it's still worrying that there's a chance this new trading mechanic might make it borderline impossible to get all max-level enchantments exclusively from trading. Overall I'm not against this new mechanic, but I'm definitely not satisfied with how it currently works. They just need to round it out better without nerfing of buffing any particular aspect too much. Not allowing certain enchants to be traded at max-level is my biggest drawback because the current enchanting system is already fairly unbalanced, in my opinion
minecraft players when they have to actually try for once instead of auto printing mending onto everything: 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
random thought but you could place a heavy core on an end rod and then you can pretend you placed a mace
I like this idea. I'm glad they made the heavy core placeable.
Won't the core float?
@@Chronuz no it's too heavy to float
@@Chronuz I jdont believe so, because it lies directly on the ground
I love how rare the mace is for the simple fact that it gives you a challenge, it could take you countless hours to get this one item. And you will feel super accomplished after getting it, and have an actual use for it and use it all the time. It is well worth the effort to get, and it all starts with a nice little challenge
MANY people hate it because of how tedious it is to get. you and me think differently it seems lol, but most don't like how long it takes.
really most people complain about the game being too easy when you get the OP stuff so early, but too tedious and annoying when it's rare.
OK that's a good video idea lol...anyways nice to meet a fellow grinder here, there are very few around nowadays.
@@danny-d0rito
I actually dont mind how it takes a while to get. Alongside the Totem of Undying it deserves to be rare. All I really wish for to be honest is for villagers to be capable of repairing your gear for emeralds. It would be a cool feature.
@@noisemarine561 that would both make sense and-
wait. good idea incoming. what if they removed mending but implemented the villager repair system you mention? not as overpowered depending on prices and-wow yeah great idea THUMBS UP TO YOU for that.
and yeah I agree with you. some things SHOULD be rare. sadly, there are always people who complain things take too much grind to get, and the same people often complain something's too easy.
I like the grind. not many do, but I'm someone who likes it. I spent over 6 hours straight cutting trees for a prank on my friend on a server (we live on a large island) it was very funny and I will also never run out of wood again.
@@danny-d0rito
Ill be honest I only wanted alternate repair Ideas because I like to use the Trident
Can zombies or pillagers break down copper doors? Also, can villagers use them?
I'm so glad they aren't adding the "Villager Trade Rebalance", it sucks imo, it doesn't solve any of the fundamental problems with the durability, enchanting, trading etc. systems being broken, all it does is make things more tedious by forcing you to breed villagers in specific biomes to get what you need, without offering any good alternative ways to get them.
I genuinely think they should just remove item durability at this point
we don't be needing a villager nerf after getting our pillager farms nerfed
Let's do some "itembowling" with wind charges :D Idea: a minigame where you have wind charges and you need to push them into holes like a minigolf !
I'm so glad new trading isn't out
I dont like it at all
Even though I do think trading is too op
Disagree. Being able to re-make max-level gear in a couple of minutes after dying is just as Notch intended.
The new trading is just librarians having certain books only in certain biomes right?
@kingauther7812 no also armorers require diamond blocks and emeralds to be able to buy diamond gear, some enchanted books cannot be obtained via villagers, etc.
@@brevortofficial you needed diamond BLOCKS? As well as emeralds? That’s horrible. I do like the librarian changes tho
@@kingauther7812 no, its not blocks, its just half the diamonds you would normally require to craft that piece of gear
For all the Java players: this is bedrock edition, not Java so some of these might not be true or they might be different for Java edition.
No main Villager trade re-balance. I never want that garbage.
it's too OP. the idea they had was no good, but they are broken and need a rework. game's too easy because of how busted it is and they NEED to be balanced out somehow.
Translation: The village nerf wasnt a myth and it was community backlash that just barely defeated it.. for now.
No... The villager nerf was experimental from the beginning. They were never going to add it unless the community liked it.
@@lasercraft32 So it was doomed from the start basically lol
I don't know why people thought the trading changes were going to be added. That rumor came out of literally nowhere.
Probably cause it was announced after 1.20 came out so the logical leap was that it was coming in 1.21
@@brevortofficial Except its _experimental._ Just like the bundle, and the combat snapshots, which both still show no signs of being officially added to the game.
@@lasercraft32 and like the 1.21 snapshots, which got added to the base game in 1.21 , it's a pretty easy mistake to make
I'm no minecraft update expert but I always assumed that the snapshots and experimental changes were things being added in the next update or next few updates and mojang doesn't specify what is and isn't coming so I got all my villagers in a trading hall because I didn't know what was happening. I'm glad I got it done I was starting to procrastinate too much! Now I wonder if the new enchantments are available with the villagers.
@@TheLegend-jp1vg Well, you're technically not wrong... But all of the update features are lumped together usually (like the 1.21 features were in 1.20.5), while the villager rebalance was completely separate from those.
The purpose of the experimental snapshots is (as the name implies) to test out new features to see how the community feels about it. People reacted very negatively about the villager rebalance, so they haven't gone through with implementing it.
(I've noticed they also stopped working on it too. They haven't tweaked anything or said anything about the villager rebalance in a while... Though maybe they were just too busy working on 1.21's features).
Meanwhile the poor bundle has been left untouched for years now lol.
Apparently the wind charge is less effective when wearing armor. At least it is with netherite armor and the strange thing is this isn't documented anywhere
Probably because of the knockback resistance of Netherite armour
@@HellCromeE I did some quick testing and you are correct. Thanks
I'm glad the villager -rebalance- downgrade wasn't implemented in this update. It absolutely sucked. As for the mace, I hope there will be datapacks made to revert the mace to its original state. I already saw one that disabled the trial vaults idiotic "one-per-player" rule, and I'm definitely gonna be using it to milk the nearest trial chamber out of all of its treasures over and over again.
What’s the villager downgrade? I haven’t heard
@@varvela1 blacksmiths require diamonds to trade diamond armor and tools, enchanted books getting split between different biome librarians, said librarians also no longer sell max level enchanted books (so you will have to combine them at least once to get the max level, increasing their xp cost on an anvil), and the villager curing discount no longer stacks. Overall massive and absolutely stupid nerf that there wasn't any need for in the first place.
I'll admit, the current villager system may be overpowered, but if you don't like it - just don't use it! But don't restrict others from using it! It's that simple!
well here’s a real fact: Getting wind burst III is hard. i’m only getting Wind Burst I
according to the wiki they are equally likely but everyone i have talked to (including me) has only gotten Wind Burst I
@@brevortofficial i heard it’s only wind burst 1 and u must combine books. but ik a dupe method so i do that
My very first vault had a heavy core lmao. amazing clip, and then i went to 3 more trial chambers and never got the new music disc lol
Boy was I disappointed when i found out that there is no Hardcore 😢
me too, man
I feel you guys
it is sad, but please. when it releases, DO NOT. there have been more and more random deaths recently-that switch that turns on hardcore, while nice and challenging, results in an illogical death and a rage quit from minecraft as a whole.
a pheonexSC video covered it recently. it is insane how many times recently people have randomly dropped dead for no reason except a weird twist on the average server lag. (it doesn't register blocks placing or elytra being used a great deal on bedrock, which results in days later it registers fall damage that you should have taken as though the blocks were never placed or elytra never used) so yes. hardcore is a great challenge on java! but on bedrock there are just too many buggy deaths to turn it on reliably. only way to be safe is...never place blocks?
I just wish that you could access the trial chamber vault multiple times, like once a day etc
I'm hoping the trading changes go the way of the bundle.
So I traveled tens of thousands of blocks looking for a villager when I could've used the one I was next to the whole time😭
That’s not to mention that you can get a slime spawner in a trial chamber, and if you’re building something with redstone, this is definitely worth coming back to
The villager trade rebalancing should be hardness game toggle. “Harder Villagers”, making it harder to get the trades you want.
Technically it’s already a thing. Before creating a world, go to experimental features and toggle the villager rebalance option.
It actually makes getting the things you want easier because you have a guaranteed chance of getting that thing I don’t know why people are upset at the system when it’s not the systems fault it’s the idea that transporting villagers is hard which is not part of the system. It’s not a feature of the system.
@@stargazer-elite what system are you talking about
@@ryankriller1931 the new villager trading system
@@stargazer-eliteHaving to transport villagers is a consequence of the system, which is why it is being talked about.
The new system forces players to either have multiple villages, which is obnoxious and inconvenient, or transport villagers, which is obnoxious and inconvenient. Both options take a lot more effort and time than the current system (which is the point), but neither option creates a sense of fulfillment or fun for the player.
So, yes, it does make villager trades more consistent, but it makes the experience of getting the trades you want waaaaay more tedious, inconvenient, and annoying. I'd say the downsides outweigh the upsides by quite a bit.
It's especially annoying since they aren't even nerfing villagers. They are just making villagers more annoying than they already are, in hopes that players will stop using them as much.
4:06 I'm pretty sure it isn't a lock, it's just a hand-knocker door handle sort of thing
Pretty much been playing since update came out (on my bedrock world which is couple months old) I was able to get cartographer and got 2 trial maps which are fairly close to my base (in preloaded chunks)
I still lost my mending villager and I didn't have villager rebalance on
So it only works with swamp villagers now?
I guess it was a bug?
It probably was a bug but I got a new one
I went to 10 fully different trial chambers and didn’t get a mace till the last one, where I got 3 of them smh. Now I’m grinding for wind burst and I’ve gone to like 25 of them
ngl mace w/ wind burst 3 is a 6 shot on the warden
Use a wind charge to launch yourself up and use the mase
Kills it in 1 hit no enchants: I could have killed it faster
Gets enchanted: just looks at it and it dies
I truly don't understand why they don't just let chiseled bookshelves alter the odds of enchantment table. That would fix the biggest problem with villager trading (they're de facto required to get good enchantments)
They can just make things more expensive so people can’t abuse emerald trades for infinite amounts. Mending on all villagers won’t be an issue if they cost a lot of emeralds, and then they’re actually worth mining then
#1 I can confirm.
I found 2 villagers in plains biome both trading mending book as 1st for 11 emeralds.
Ive been in spectator in bedrock and I can safely say the trial chamber is not rare
trading is OP, yes, the way the did the trade rebalancing was not the solution
Yeah they immediately cooked way to hard on it. If they'd have introduced them gradually the wouldn't have had so much backlash but since they immediately nerfed them into the ground the community is immediately gonna be skeptical of any change to villagers they suggest
The problem is not that the trading rebalance is bad, the problem is the horrible enchanting/repairing system that we have. Too much rng and grind, and there is that dumb "it costs too much".
If they rework that system to make it more fun and remove the grind, the trading rebalance would be fine.
@mechanical_squid4047 yeah xp by design is extremely grindy it basically requires you to make a mob grinder
Its not a lock its one of those round handels
the copper trapdoors dont need redstone so you cant get trapped in the trial chambers
Odds for the heavy core were not like that of notch apples for me. I got about 15 notch apples and only 2 heavy cores after about 3 hours of searching with my brother
Iron is magnetic and copper isn't, so maybe that's why the copper doors can be opened by hand
4:25 another way that hasn’t been mentioned, are copper doors destroyable by zombies? Making them a more stronger option in hardcore worlds?
No sadly
I just want to say the effort put into these videos and maps is so appreciated and enjoyable to see. Also 100 trial chambers
Very much appreciated :)
I got the heavy core on my first chamber :D
NO CHANGES TO VILLAGER LETS GOOOOO
are copper doors more resistant to zombies than wooden doors?
if yes then they would be a good balance between iron and wood
the mace was not easy to get, and let me tell you, there's no chance i get wind burst. it took 6 trial chambers, and i got 3 of every new disc, density 5, 7 enchanted apples, 5 stacks of emeralds, a stack and a half of diamonds, 4 armor trims, and of course, bread.
Are you telling me that my plains villagers in 1.21 will give me mending books 😮
It would be cool if you need to take a lever with you to open each trial chamber room and all :0
I got very bad luck to find the mace. It took me 36 ominous vaults (5 or 6 trial chambers) before I finally got one.
I went to 6 and didn't find a single one, meanwhile my friend went to 2 trial chambers and got 2
Not a fan of the mace being so situationally based on fall distance. Sure, it's meant to synergize with the breeze charges, but it should be a viable weapon without any of that considering how much more involved and time consuming of a process grinding for it alone can be over a diamond or netherite axe/sword. Hopefully I'm proven wrong, but I just don't see the mace appearing much in the pvp scene, which will be a good way to see if it truly is as useful or situational as is argued.
and I know this is bedrock, but on java: the vaults actually cycle randomly showing the items they have to offer. and the timing is a bit weird, but I can say from raiding many already-you have about a 50% chance if not more of getting one in a trial chamber in java if you know how to time things.
bedrock though? haven't played in a while. and honestly, while it's not horrible like many would have you think, I don't wanna randomly die. it's been happening a lot and even I had it happen a bunch before I swapped over.
so good luck bedrock players. and hey! you can one shot your absolutely cracked wither now so I salute to you in your endeavors! (and just spawn a bunch of iron golems and heal them. in both versions, they CHEESE the wither with 5 or so)
I heard someone else say the loot is pre-determined per player on Java?
As much as the mace is good for dropping 100 blocks onto the ender dragon or whatnot, I've been struggling to make it useful in general combat as its just too niche and almost always outclassed by another weapon that is a million times easier to obtain
Found a heavy core in the first trial ruin I went to I was so surprised I thought it was going to be rarer
When will you bring us more Addon reviews?
If you can, please make a review of the Horror Survival Addon, I am waiting for your review to see if it is worth it or not, I have seen other interesting ones that you can bring in future videos
11:02 speaking of things i dont love… *walks to the subscribe button
I have opened 30+ ominous vaults with no mace
Can you please confirm the rate of wind burst enchantments... on bedrcok is almost impossible
You can wait for the ominous vaults to cycle through to the heavy core, they cycle between different items its not random. Its based on when you use the key !!
I hate minecraft sometimes. Why does the trial spawner need mob spawning on but the mob spawner doesn't. Can someone show or tell me where I go to ask them to change trial spawner.
Out of the first 4 ominous trial Spawners I have ever opened i got 2 notches and 2 heavy cores…
For those who want the Mace i have a "trick" for you. The chances of getting a Mace is 8% but you can make it 100%. Before you open the ominous vault, walk up to the side of the vault. You will see cycles of loot. Thats not the possible loot. that is the loot you will get if you open the vault while that loot is visible. it circles all the loot that you can get from that vault. The 8% for the Mace is the chances of it being visible. So wait until you see the Mace or whatever loot you want. You need to open it immediately as you spot your loot the you will get that loot with possible other loot. TIME IT CORRECTLY.
Yeah there's no way that's true lol.
@@sentheaS I literally just got it like this. just try it. I promise I'm not lying

Ive done 11 ominous trials. Opened well over 50 ominous vaults and still no heavy core..
Does the cartographer give you new maps for the other structures too (Ocean Monument, Woodland Mansion) if you explore those?
Super late to reply but yeah the cartographer always gives one or two of those maps
how come in the final myth you were opening normal vaults and not ominous vaults???
They're ominous vaults, but a Bedrock bug with pick block makes them look like normal vaults
Yes!!! Finally!
Did you try to hit a Warden with it the Mace? Not that i think it is a one shot but still curiouse how much it actually would hit with.
It is possible to one shot the warden with the mace. You have to fall from a very high distance to do it but it is possible.
The mace infinitely scales based on fall distance. If you fall from high enough you can one-shot anything.
That 1-tap Warden KO has to be staged so it's not something that can happen in a survival situation. It's funny how they backpedaled on the insane damage from 1-tapping the Warden from ontop of the AC statue when they themselves even promoted that ability to kill something we weren't supposed to.
@mariobrine7012 yeah mojang be like NOOOOO YOU CANT KILL WARDEN
Also mojang : mace go brrrr
Bro tested mace in its best scenario. The falling to increase its damage is a gimmick. Should have compared base damage or at least did a ceit attack for the sword
I broke a lot the table of librarian on my world and dont got the mending enchantment, r u sure that the mending isn't only for swamp villagers at survival ibx?
Hardcore is not on console yet 😭
It actually is. Go to settings, scroll all the way down, it will say preview or smth, and it will take you to a separate app you can download for free if you already have minecraft. This is how to test new snapshots on console, and yes, it does have hardcore as an experimental feature. (At least this works on ps, not sure about nintendo or Xbox (: )
I Went to 6 trial chambers and got 0 heavy cores. Just my luck
Got mine in 3 . My friend had to go to 11 of them . My brother got his on his 2nd ominous vault he opened . Crazy lol

The real myth is that the chambers are worth going to at all when you can make crafters and copper bulbs without stepping foot in them. Its a redstone update, and I'll die on that hill.
