Excellent video again! 6:54 is there a way to make retroarch recognise the guide/home buton to enable hotkeys? In case I'm forced to use select instead will I have problems when let's say I use mame for instance? select is my coin key when start is to begin the game.
Question 2: If I play with another person let's say via parsec, and he's player 2, can he activate my hotkeys? I wish he couldn't or at least would like to disable it. Question 3: the rewind is not working for me. I enabled it as you showed us but it doesn't work to me neither with R nor with my hotkey.
You should be able to use the guide or home button for enable hotkey. However, you might need to disable it from bringing up the Windows Gamebar by default. I use a Dualshock4 with a program called DS4Windows and it allows me to use the PS Guide button as my enable hotkey button. Regarding 2: I believe by default only Player 1 should have access to hotkeys. But I'm not certain. And 3: Not sure about this one either. Not all cores support the rewind function, so maybe try it on a different core? With some issues I like to check out the RetroArch subreddit as there is a ton of help troubleshooting info there: www.reddit.com/r/RetroArch/
@@otggaming3180 I disabled the win game bar triggered by the guide button. However it's not recognised on "enable hotkeys". I can take screenshots with it + a trigger though but that's a steam function I managed to configure as I couldn't use the guide for screenshots alone. Thanks again for all your help 💚

I've reset the bindings so that the XBOX A and B buttons coordinate with A and B within the game, but even after I remap from the Port 1 Controls screen, the issue still presents itself. Any ideas?
Using an Xbox controller in RetroArch can be a little confusing because RetroArch uses a Nintendo style button layout but the Xbox controller is a reverse of that. There is no merging of buttons to enable a combined movement like in Street Fighter ex plus alpha Some movements require several buttons..... Can these buttons be combined into one button? To make it easier to implement this movement, is there an application that works on this feature?
Why won't the save and load state binding work for my controller? I already set the buttons for them and saved the configuration but whenever I start a game they just don't work for the buttons I assigned. They did at first but then I had to reinstall retroarch and it stopped working. How do I fix this? Help is appreciated thanks

Hi! So I was playing mega man for GB advance on the r36s and then randomly my joy stick started going opposite direction. I checked other gb advanced games and they were all working fine it was just that one specific game. Any ideas how to change it back to normal?

I’m using RetroArch for 3DS but my controller (Nintendo Switch Pro) there’s nothing I can do because the port thing isn’t visible for me and Hotkey Enable is weird and confusing.
What type of save are you trying to make? Is it a global config save or an override for a specific game or core? And does it give you any error messages when you try to save?

I just tried to save in "Save Current Config" and at Overrides I tried to Save Core, Save Game, Save Content, nothing.... On "Controls" there is another option to Save Core Remap File, Content, Game, everything... On Settings, Configuration I always Save Configuration on Quit ON, (Im not sure about Global Core Option but it's ON) Well, as you see I'm getting mad kkk, I tried everything. I just bought the last Anbernic, very nice portable device. This is the last little problem I have to solve if you could help me. Thanks a lot for your attention
@@otggaming3180 ..."ERROR SAVING CONTROLLER PROFILE" I think this is the message you asked me. But no, it's not about that. This is when you try to save controls remap in the wrong place (Settings INPUT).... I save the controls remap on QuickMenu/Controls as you may know.
It might be that you need the mame 2003 plus cheat.dat file. You can get it here: github.com/libretro/mame2003-plus-libretro/tree/master/metadata It should go in your 'RetroArch/system/mame2003-plus/' folder.
It sounds like the Port 1 controls were disabled. Does your keyboard or mouse still allow you to navigate? If so go to Settings>Controls>Port 1 Controls> and set the 'Device Index' to whatever your controller name is. I think that should get you back to good.
Someone else mentioned this and then figured it out. Some other app was hijacking the ps button besides the Windows gamebar. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was :(

12:24 I believe the FF function should have another speed like x2, x4, bc I remember that cuscene and even 35secs are way too long.
Yep that's correct. You can set the FF rate in the Settings>Frame Throttle menu of RetroArch. Slow motion rate too 👍
