@@WrestlingUniversity it would’ve made for a good April Fools video
Ay yo man I’m not new but I’ve been subbed for a while now and I can say you’ve really helped me improve my martial arts
Love to hear it brother. Glad it helps
38yr old purple belt here, my takedown game is poop. Thanks for the great details! I look forward to implementing these ASAFP
That underhook detail was fkin golden man, thanks!!
Glad to help brother
Your attention to detail is amazing! Wish I had someone that taught like this when I was younger! Anyone finds this channel has hit the jackpot.
Great content the explanations are very articulate and clear . Keep it up coach.
More gold. You're really helping my stand up game man, thanks
Love to hear it. Hey if you get any takedowns you learned on the channel on video would be sick to feature you in a short.
Clean, concise and detail oriented... excellent content an presentation!
Much appreciated brother. Welcome to the channel 🫶

You really are the best TH-cam channel when it comes to explaining the reasoning and mechanics behind subgrappling wrestling.
Thank you sir 🫶 truly means a lot

Love your wrestling bro, ragards
Thank you so much for this....exactly what an older white belt entering his first BJJ tournament is looking for. Cheers!
This is excellent.
Can you make a video for street defense: i.e. how to do this while getting punched or worried about a possible weapon the free hand can access?
Tq
I've been doing BJJ 14 years + and I have a hell of a arm drag , but I RARELY ever get it off , because like you said from a distance it's easy to telegraph , but closed quarters like that! it makes so much sense! and being your head is taking away your oppenents peripheral view , of what your trying to do , it seems to be like a high % technique ! cool
These are great for bjj or just self defense!
Hi inside tripping specialist here,
lol j/k I don't know how to inside trip. But thanks for the video!
lol was ready for a classic keyboard expert rant, got me 🏆
Hope I can do this and more as 60yrs old blue belt.
If you don't get inside leg positioning as soon as you punch that underhook anyone decent will uchi mata you
"You're LITERALLY gluing the arm to your chest!"
I don't think that's IBJJF, ADCC, or EBI approved. How about you FIGURATIVELY* glue the arm to your chest?!?
I said what I said
@@WrestlingUniversity you literally did. Like, legit, Bruh. Just say'n.
Good video. However, I would avoid teaching modified versions for beginners. Even though it will give a boost in short term effectiveness it’s better to just teach them proper technique right from the beginning. Short term effectiveness is not important. Long term effectiveness is what matters. A good example would be teaching 4 and 5 year old wrestlers. If you are teaching one wrestler to just run over his opponent with force and no technique and you are teaching the other wrestler a proper penetration step while shooting a takedown. In the short term the 5 year old who just runs over his opponent will win every time against the other 5 year old who is trying to learn the proper technique. However, the more reps the one who is learning proper technique gets he/she will eventually start easily beating the 5 year old who is just using brute force. One was developing bad habits while the other was to develop good technique. Long term success is what matters. Don’t train to beat white belts, you should train to beat black belts.
