im thinking on getting one of this kits for myself since im a complete beginner at this fantastic world of mushrooms so thanks a lot for sharing so i know what to expect. it's like some experience info i gained but didn't try it at all lmao.
Nice to see them growing. I also like mushrooms, but I'd rather find them in the wild though. It produced a lot of oyster mushrooms. Thanks for sharing. I've subbed and liked. 👍
Yes. I was able to get 3 flushes from this block. After the block slowed down, I then used it to inoculate used coffee grounds. I was able to keep breaking up the block an feeding it for about a year. Though, I never got as good of a yield as the very first flush you see here.
You should be able to get at least 2 flushes, although 3 and 4 are also possible. You simply need to let the kit rest for a week, then you can expose it to humid conditions and it should fruit again.
I only had to spray it because it was winter at the time. My house was very dry and I didn't have a humidity chamber. So spraying it was the next best thing. Just eyeball it.
For future reference, the real best alternative (without really spending money) is to take a trash bag, put it over the kit while leaving space at the bottom for fresh air exchange, (you may also want to create a few small holes at the top) but spray the inside of the bag with water instead. After fruiting begins, direct moisture contact can cause damage to the mushroom. Of course if you just want to do it for fun and the satisfaction that comes with growing your own mushrooms, there's nothing wrong with this method. 😊
What a kickass lil video! Cheers!

Will new mushrooms start to grow if you cut off the grown mushrooms?

Mine has just started to grow but only on the outer edges. I’m hoping the front will grow also
I used that exact grow kit and didn't get half of that
I kept this block alive for almost a year.
what ild like to know is how many times did you spray it a day

I’m spraying 2x a day like it says to do. Is that too much?
@@terrijohnston8803 Nah, I spray mine more than that
