My father sang bass in a barbershop quartet. Never thought I'd ever hear anyone hit that b like my dad could. This brought a tear to my eye! Thank you!
I like the little laugh in the audience at the end... that bass is unreal
it was just to crazy
The bass is amazing as is the Lead and a Tenor. But the baritone is the glue that makes this song work. He’s the only voice I couldn’t single out with concentration.
You are sooooooo right, I kept wondering what was missing ????? Bingo !!!!!!
My jaw is dropped while watching and listening to this. It cuts your heart beyond belief. My Mrs. asked me to find a extended version of the original song, because she plays it like 50 times in a row !!!!! and I stumbled upon this, amen and amen !!!!!!
Merci ' publisher, God bless you. ❤️🙏
Fun fact: I recently noticed that in the end 4:25 at “When she left” and so on, the bari and tenor actually switched roles. And they do it in every performance.
@@Ikaram.128 Wow! When else do they do this?
Though the lead was weakest of all!
The bass were killin' he hit the note easily.
I love that echo at 3:13.
To that Tenne - Tennessee Waltz.
WOAH! that bass at the ending!!!
Brett Littlefield has to be the most extraordinary bass singer barbershop has ever produced. How he hasn't featured in every single fantasy quartet is beyond me.
Challenge accepted. :-)
nah jeff oxley has to be
I nominate Jim Henry for the bass sing off
I love the Ox-man, and Jim... but they can't get DOWN like Brett.
Y’all are forgetting about the bass from Ringmasters with the crazy hair.
That bass is incredible
that very last bass note....wow!
What's not to like? CHAMPIONS they ARE!!!
All about that bass. I played the end 10 times.
The bass stole the show
+Car Gtz Btz I totally agree haha looks exactly like Hank lol
+Pickle Master Jesus Christ they're minerals Marie
Pickle Master h
Josh Kimbrough zz
My original comment at the top of the page.
The last few notes in the bass... Jesus
Yeah!!!!!
Josh McCarthy's Music I like how it was originally a C but he tuned flat to a B and everyone at the end was like "holy shit"
My original comment at the top of the page.
I can't stop listening to it
I can't stop listening to the last 40 seconds of it.

I first heard it last night.....and have listened to it about 20 times since....awesome!
Me too. ... 😳🙄👍👍👍👍👍 That bass Is Amazing...
No other song sounds good anymore. Thanks for that :D
Just saw the Lead and Tenor of this quartet with a new quartet, Don't Tell Mom, at the FWD Convention yesterday, and they were phenomenal! Seems like they could go all the way.. again!
They are perfect! The bass is incredible
THE BASS AT THE END!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Without a doubt, one of the most amazing "bass" singers in barbershop! Very few, have I ever heard hit a "low C" like that....
~awe-struck~
Actually, it is a B
Bro, that’s one of the cleanest B1’s ive ever heard
The manliest bass note singing about how he broke down and cried when his lover left him
I could loop 0:57-1:05 ALL DAY!
Truly perfect harmony. I grew up listening to Barbershop and sang in the Sweet Adeline's in my younger years, The memories of the numerous competitions my father took us to brings tears to my eyes. This quartet I will follow. Thanks for sharing.
How I long for the beautiful music of the past.. A wonderful art form at it's finest.
What a great blend, and listen to the bass at the end, WOW!!!
Jeez, I love this so much, it's an amazing performance. And Brett's B at the end made my head hurt, and I wasn't even singing it.
Having lived for 20 years in East Tennessee, I learned to love this song -- lovely arrangement!
Fantastic rendition of the song. Can purely see/hear why they were the champions in 2013. This quartet along with previous winner Old School are a couple of the absolute best Barbershop Quartets to grace a stage.
I really feel it.. They really get the sadness of the heartbreak across....
The Bari/lead lock at 4:22 is insane
Love the passion through the whole thing. I felt and hear what you were singing. It was awesome
Wow! I was thinking Jimmy Fallon's TV show quartet was good...this blows that to peices!
Their harmony is over the top . When you have the right voices you really don't need any other music. Great job guys .
Still one of my favorite songs ever. My friend and I used to listen to this song every day after school it’s just gorgeous.
Outstanding! Couldn't ask for better -- Tennessee Waltz is the best!
The bass was beautiful, especially at the end.
What a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaass
dear Jesus dancing on tapshoes........ This is amazing!
I keep coming back, a classic performance
This song will always remind me of my dear darling daddy. Miss you everyday, Daddy.
That bass note was awesome.
Having the bass sing melody was great. This also had some soul in it !
Not often you see Dean Norris, John Goodman, Ben Stiller and Ray Liotta singing together

Alive and well, fellas!
My dad sang baritone in barbershop....the most un-sung heroes in barbershop, yet they can finish off a song like no other... ;)
I looked to make sure someone had said it and ya did ;p
Great version of this song, and yup, the bass is GREAT!
still my favorite barbershop song on youtube. the harmony and clarity is outstanding. Love it!

oh i man i am love with masterpiece.
The soulfulness of these guys is unparalleled
Awesome, thanks for the share.
When my grandchildren stayed overnight with us, my granddaughter would always say, when getting ready to go to sleep, "Grandma, sing The Tennessee Waltz". Her dad, my son, sang Barbershop in a quartet in high school.
sweet baby jesus that last bass note was glorious
what a bass!
I was dancing with my darling to the Tennessee Waltz
When an old friend I happened to see
I introduced her to my loved one
And while they were dancing
My friend stole my sweetheart from me
I remember the night and the Tennessee Waltz
Now I know just how much I have lost
Yes, I lost my little darling the night they were playing
The beautiful Tennessee Waltz
I love this song!!!
You guys are great!!
Absolutely amazing!
outstanding. only in my dreams can i sing like this
This brings me joy
WOW! That was AMAZING!
What a wonderful, full sound!!!!!!
Amazing! The intonation was flawless!
Loved it, loved it.
Amazing, wonderful harmonies.

So great...and the bass had it all. Great!!!!

Beautiful arrangement.
Simply marvelous.
Amazing!! That last note of the bass is ridiculous!!
My Lawd...I'm speechless. WOW
Wooow, just alsome, excellent arrangement, outstanding performance.

Sol Badguy It's a typo! LOL I'm sure he really appeciated u pointing out his mistake! LOL really?
Jessie
Best quartet ever
I'm not really a huge fan of the format, but this is simply out of this world....
Nice to see Hank Schrader not dead :)
Beautiful!!
I'm all about that bass, bout that bass.
So here I am grooving to this one as much as Oh Suzanna. The intro has a wonderfully balanced 9 followed by a wonderful dom7, where the tritone was right next to each other. And they pulled it off.
It's not difficult to see why they took the whole shebang.
Amazing!!!
This is beautiful
Wow! Amazing group- but that bass is awesome
Gosto muito de ver as 4 vozes em harmonia será q um dia vcs vão vim para o Brasil?
Who remembers this???
My parents were into barbershop for about 40 years....my mom says she read that this bass and baritone (of Masterpiece), were actually brothers..
faaaar out just reading negative comments on this video is sooooo annoying, how about admiring the effort of people doing their best to perform, they aint performing for you... they performing for the gold and did a good job. Shot Masterpiece
Terrific!
Well done, lads.
YES!
Bravo!
A-m-a zing
3:13 they singing like t happened to them🥺
All about that bass!!!!!
Very well done.
That low B was insane
Its a dark timbre C2
@@walteranthony6302 Im sorry this is quite a bit late but no It is in fact a B1
All those guys are a very good performer. Normally quartets have bass singer at the right of the screen. For the first time I see one, like this one, with bass at the left side. They are different and it is good.
I'm with you that they're good. Usually the Baritone is on the outside and the bass is next to the lead. This is probably the first time I've heard an active quartet that you can actually hear the baritone part. Yes, it's different. Yes, it is good.
Youll notice that he faces away from the mic a bit too. I hung out with them at an after show a few weeks ago, and he said its because his voice is to much to be in the middle. They blend the best in that configuration.
Greg Jones Indeed. I did notice that. However, they seem to be the only ones that have 'gotten' it and moved parties around. And it sounds better than most.
Yesss
marvelous
I am speechless
You need to use Richter's magnitude scale to measure that bass at the end.
