    Nice video. I usually do the same method at the top, but I measure the socket length down with a pencil mark so I don't have to put a slice in the bottom. Takes some practise

    Aubrey, you are a genius, thank you. I'm a carpenter wallpapering for the first time and these videos are excellent. I prefer brush No.10 by the way, looks better than No.18 you used the other time! :-)

    Hi Aubrey, Greetings from Weston super Mare. . Yes, keep the blade low and long. I have described this to numerous guys in the trade but they seem not to grasp the skill. Good to see you back "on film"... Bo (Albion Decoration).

    Hi
    Can acrylic primer undercoat be applied to cold water copper pipes or oil base primer which one do you recommend
    Thanks

      If you have some Bullseye 123 you could use that as it is suitable for priming non-ferrous metals like copper.

    Hi
    Does Johnstone oil base concrete floor paint need sanding between coats

    • @AubreysAbsoluteDecorating
      @AubreysAbsoluteDecorating  ปีที่แล้ว

      You should not have to do this unless it has been contaminated with dust.

      The technical data sheet for this product does not state that you need to sand between coats.

    Thanks for the video. Quick couple of questions if I may. I’m about to paper a feature wall in our bedroom, the wall has been painted with Matt emulsion a few years and is in good order, my questions are:
    Do I need to seal the emulsion? If so, with a weak mix of PVA or a weak mix of paper paste?
    If the wall is flat do I need to line the wall with lining paper?
    I only ask as i want to make it easy for myself when I ever come to removing the paper in the future, I recently stripped the hall of wall paper and it was a nightmare and I had to get the hall re-skimmed!
    Any advice gratefully received!

    • @AubreysAbsoluteDecorating
      @AubreysAbsoluteDecorating  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, yes it would be a good idea to first apply a weak solution of paste over the matt emulsion. If the wall is in good condition without lots of defects or making good then you should be fine without first applying lining paper. The paper should be easy enough to remove in the future. Sorry to hear about the problem you had with the hall. Please let me know if you need any further advice Barry.

      @@AubreysAbsoluteDecorating thank you Aubrey, there is so much conflicting info on the net, ‘use pva’ ‘don’t use pva’ etc!
      I’m going to use paste the wall paper, I assume that will be fine if the walls are sealed with a weak paste mix?
      Thanks again for your help!

    • @AubreysAbsoluteDecorating
      @AubreysAbsoluteDecorating  ปีที่แล้ว +1
